    Classy high tea presentation
    Allan Q.

I've gone to the oxford location with my family for a while now but this is the first time that I went to the original seymour location (because sadly the oxford location closed). If you haven't been to either it's really a blast to the past with the decor and 'fine dining high tea' elements that you really don't see elsewhere. On top of that the vintage decor really makes it special because instead of a cookie cutter restaurant, each part of it has its own character, even down to each individual chair! What made this visit extra special though was that we were served by Tracy herself! She was very friendly, answered all our questions, and even helped me pick out a delicious tea I would've never tried (and I don't even like tea!). I got the pomegranate blueberry - fruit tea, but if you're an avid tea drinker then they have so many teas to choose from. Although the ham and gouda was supposed to be a tea sandwich, tracy was more than accommodating to make it into a delicious grilled cheese (which should honestly be a mainstay). The combo i got came with the sandwich, tea and tomato soup all for $21 (18 +3 for the grilled cheese upgrade) but still a great deal for ct. Dipping the grilled cheese in the tomato soup was so good, so I hope they keep the tomato soup too. For dessert i had the cream cheese cupcake which was also pretty good, and in tea with tracy fashion the check was served to us in a book! Overall, I'm sad that the oxford location closed because the brunch menu and eggs Benedict were my favorite, but I'm very hopeful that it will return someday soon.

This is a really cute tea shop. They have beautiful tea sets, gifts, and it's a nice, relaxing setting. Service was friendly and relaxed. Nice treat for yourself. You park on the street.

We threw my sister a baby shower at Tracy's and it was a perfect event. The atmosphere is small cozy and just beautiful! The owner was so helpful, answered all calls and question leading up to the event and the day of. The food was wonderful ( get the carrot cake!) and tea selection is extensive! The guests all raved about it. It was easy, smooth, and pleasanJust perfect!

What a charming place! My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Seymour location. We ordered the afternoon tea where we each received a 2 cup pot of tea chosen from an extensive tea menu. We also had a choice of scones from their daily selections along with our choice of tea sandwiches and a dessert. Everything was very good. You can even purchase many of the teas as well as tea accessories on site. Cannot wait to return.

What a simple splendid tea room. I popped in here the other day for afternoon tea and had a wonderful time. Since I was solo, I got an assortment of salmon and chicken finger sandwiches which were scrumptious. My giant blueberry scone I took home because I was full from the sandwiches, but that didn't stop me from also getting a lamington & a tiramisu cupcake. I actually also went with a tiramisu tea and the two complemented each other perfectly. I also left with some Jane Austen notes and Edgar Allen Poe tea as well, I cannot wait to come back and visit again.

My friends and I had a wonderful early afternoon tea here on a Sunday. I had almond cookie tea (delish) and cranberry orange scone also very good with lemon curd, upgraded to the grilled cheese with Brie & apples, and finished with butterscotch oatmeal cookies. I ended up purchasing some tea to go home and loved the room the tea cups and serving tray, our server was super pleasant as well. Highly recommend! Afterwards we visited the little shops on the street which made for a wonderful day all around with friends.

Tea With Tracy has been on my list forever and I finally took my mom here for her birthday! It was everything I hoped for! Of course, we had to do the afternoon tea which is served on a tiered platter with your choice of tea, scone, sandwich and dessert for $24 pp. So fun! We got an extra sandwich because we couldn't decide on just two - but my favorite was the cucumber mint. Absolute classic! The chicken salad was also incredible... I would eat that for lunch everyday! Wish we closer to Seymour because I'd be here constantly. What a great way to spend the afternoon! Do try if you haven't experienced this!

Such a lovely spot for any special occasion. I was taken there for my birthday and it was special. The full tea is quite substantial, and the range of tea selection will suit anyone's taste. Our favorites were the curry chicken, the cranberry orange scone, and the cinnamon apple cake. The old tea cups - each person gets a unique one - were also a fun touch.

The ambience of this place is super adorable! I treated my mom to afternoon tea and it was delightful. We had a great waitress name PJ. She was very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. You might be wondering why only 3 stars? First, We ordered the mix berry scone and the chive scone. The scones felt preheated and it was dry and lacked the flavor and texture of what I feel a scone is. The savory scone was salty to me. I think the scones were made with a special flour because it didn't have the feel of white flour. The Devonshire cream was not was Devonshire cream, it tasted more like whipped cream. The lemon curd was great! I could of eaten the whole thing myself. The ham and Gouda sandwich was good, the chicken curry sandwich was delicious. For desserts we ordered the lamington and carrot cake. I gotta say the sizes of the cakes were not tea etiquette. They were huge! The lamington was sweeter than I expected but loved the coconut coating. I'm not a big fan of carrot cake but mom liked it. Overall, super cute thing to do. Just wish I had better tea scones and desserts. I have hosted many tea parties so I came to this establishment with high expectations. I would go again because I love tea time but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Cute little place. When I first arrived I was promptly attended and was told if I wanted to eat here, I'd have to wait 30 minutes before I had someone attend me. I agreed and got seat. True to her word, the waitress came 30 minutes later - about 5 mins after my party arrived. I ordered a egg salad sandwich and banana bread as a dessert. My friend ordered the same sandwich but carrot cake as her dessert. We chose two teas that the waitress recommended based on our palette. Pros: the tea was great! Cons: nothing else was as great. The egg salad lacked flavor and the mayo overpowered any attempt at flavor. I agree with some of the other reviews here that the carrot cake felt old and store bought. Neither the banana bread nor the carrot cake felt fresh. Seemed old, like several days old. The venue was nice and so was the service.

Took my daughter here today for her birthday and she was so excited , they had so many fun tea options to choose from black, herba,l green ,author and specialty ones . Kid friendly herbal cotton candy tea and tea sandwiches was so yummy !! The place is very floral with great lighting plenty of space to follow the guidelines of Covid !! We had the place to our selves for about a good 20 minutes before they customers started flocking in . I noticed that it's another side were customers were being seated !! They have a wall that set up to purchase some of the tea flavors on the menu!!

When we arrived we were told it would be just a few minutes as we were early. No problem! We had no agenda so that was completely fine. However, our reservation was at 1pm and we did not get seated until 1:30pm. It would not have been as bad if one of the staff simply came out to say sorry we will get you seated as soon as we can. There was literally no contact with anyone. We kept poking our heads around to make sure they knew we were there. The worst part was there were numerous open tables. I would've been fine had they sat us as given us some water vs. just waiting in the waiting room Once we were seated, our waitress was as pleasant as anyone could be. Very very kind. We ordered the winter tea service and started out with the tea sandwiches. They were very tasty as was the tea. Because we were so hungry we finished everything before the scones arrived. Once they arrived, they nice and warm which was a nice touch. However, the inside was still raw and doughy. I picked around it as best I could. The pianist was a nice addition. I just wish, especially with this being a surprise that it would have a better experience.

The photos and menu looked great - I had no idea they only opened a couple months ago, until our server mentioned it. You wouldn't guess it, based on the attention to detail and how smoothly everything runs. It's a lovely space. They take your coats, give you purse hooks, and have a piano player jazzing up the ambiance with mellow yet uplifting tunes. The table was set perfectly with china and all the accessories you need with tea. There is a fancy/classy, yet casual, vibe. We were excited to find out we could both pick our own teas and that we didn't have to agree on one tea service (for food). The scones and treats were the same on all, but the sandwich selection varied on the three different afternoon tea menus. I opted for the "classic", which came with coronation chicken salad, ham/cheddar/mango chutney, cucumber, smoked salmon, and egg salad sandwiches. My husband got the "teas around the world" which came with Brie/apple/honey, ham/gruyere/dijon, olive tapenade/sundried tomato, chickpea/tzatziki, and a spiced chicken sandwich. All were excellent!! And when we finished, they even offered us more if we wanted them. The teas were great! We were allowed to pick our own teas (didn't have to share) from a broad menu of teas. The owner buys direct in London to get some of the finest teas that are not available locally. I am caffeine free so opted for Marian Wright Edelman's Guardian's Grace, a fruity herbal tea that was relaxation in a teacup for me. My husband first tried the Elizabeth Cady Stanton's Strength Blend, and the also had Mary McLeod Bethune's Essence of Uplift. They were all different, but all very tasty, and perfectly brewed. It also wasn't lost on me that the teas were named after amazingly strong women throughout history, and that we were enjoying them at a woman owned business, on International Women's Day! The scones were delivered fresh out of the oven with your choice of clotted cream, jam, or lemon curd (YES to all, please!) or also butter. The pastries I believe are a rotating selection, but all were tasty bites. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, welcoming, and hospitable. It's a nice easy pace, with two hours reserved for your experience. It was a wonderful escape from reality! I really appreciate Laurie, Donjae, and Ingrid for creating the perfect experience for us today. 10/10 highly recommend. Call ahead for reservations!

They do NOT have a restroom so you have to drive a mile either way if you have to use it. If it was an emergency she said you can go out to the bushes. Yes. This was said. This may be important if you're drinking a lot of tea. If you just want a cup of tea they will serve it in a to go paper cup. They use plastic silverware and paper plates. But if you can spent more on a pot of tea then you can get the nice china. So I ordered the pot of tea for more money because the my mother was having a different tea. So I only had 1 cup of tea and a big pot that I didn't want. I was told that they usually serve "Starbucks" style where you go to the counter and they give you a cup of tea to go ( even if the whole point is not to go to Starbucks but have lovely afternoon with my mother) The only way you get served is if you get the pot of tea. The treats ( cookies and such- no scones in this day) are individually wrapped in ziplock bags) Again if you don't mind a different type of afternoon tea experience and you are just there maybe for the atmosphere and don't need a restroom ( sorry I keep bringing that up but I still can't believe it) then you can indulge in these teas and the company of the lovely owner. It just not our cup of tea.

The couple had been foraging herbs and vegetables together for years. Bars shut down everywhere during the COVID-19 pandemic, so the Gliddens decided to craft their own homemade cocktails with some of their herbs and flowers. They also began to infuse the herbs into different spirits and syrups. Eventually the Gliddens decided to open their own bar and chose the name "Bones & Botanicals" in reference to the spooky witch theme as well as the fact that they use botanicals in their drinks. The menu consists of craft cocktails, craft mocktails, herbal teas, local craft beer & cider, and light food options. Everything on the menu is made from locally-sourced ingredients. In addition to year-round offerings, the menu features new seasonal specials each month. The Gliddens opened a second speakeasy, The Gilded Curtain, down the street in August 2024. I recently visited Bones & Botanicals for the first time. I've been meaning to visit for a while, and I made a point to visit for the beginning of the Halloween season. You need a secret 4-digit passcode to get inside, which is updated weekly and posted on their social media accounts. I totally loved the vibe of the place with all of the witch decor (very reminiscent of "Hocus Pocus" or the "Harry Potter" franchise). There's lots of shelves filled with all sorts of books, broomsticks, crystals, and jars filled with herbs. I even loved all of the smells. The place is small and was a little crowded when I first arrived, but it soon cleared out and I was able to grab a seat. I was excited to try some of the October menu specials, which included the "Pumpkin King's Old Fashion" (bourbon, housemade pumpkin & maple syrup, angostura & chocolate bitters), "The Blood Moon" (mocktail: pomegranate, cranberry, housemade rosemary syrup, lime, club soda, balsamic vinegar) and the "Basic Witch" (vodka, housemade pumpkin creamer, coffee liqueur, whipped cream & sprinkles). I really liked how it doesn't matter if you don't drink alcohol. At Bones & Botanicals, there's something for everyone. The mocktails were just as exciting as the cocktails. Before leaving, I had to get one their most popular year-round offerings: the "Smoked Thyme Infused Old Fashion" (bourbon, thyme syrup, angostura bitters). I watched the bartenders make this cocktail at least five times during my visit and it was an entertaining performance each time (complete with a skull cocktail smoker and a big puff of smoke). It also happened to taste amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Bones & Botanicals and highly recommend a visit during the Halloween season (or any other season for that matter).
