Absolutely beautiful addition to Southbury. Its gorgeous inside and there is ample seating; its clean cut, has the social media aesthetic, and is right on Main Street. Their customer service is beyond; they work efficiently and have delicious coffees, sandwiches, and pastries. Don't miss a visit here!

I have gotten through the TSA faster. Poor kid taking orders seemed completely befuddled by every customer.

The food was so fresh and the flavors were really bright and complex. The eggplant parm was truly something special. The sauce was very well balanced and robust. The other dishes were also very good: fish and chips had a great batter to fish ratio. Jillian was our server and she was very helpful in providing guidance on the menu. This was truly a lovely dining experience and it is clear there is a lot of care put into the food.

This is what we came across while driving through the little town of Morris, Connecticut. Penny Farthing Tea Room & Bakery is an adorable little British themed tea house. The best part? The three ladies running their business are all Brits! Alison, Clare and Deb are so welcoming and they come complete with their authentic British dialects. The inside is very small, homey and comfortable. There's so much British decor and delicate fine china everywhere. Their menu is broad with an assortment of tea of course, scones, sandwiches, soups and salads. I got the Rose Lemonade tea, with a scone. It came with a side of jam and cream. The presentation is stunning. Everything arrived on beautiful fine china, even the little dish for the honey. My friend also got their Chicken Salad Sandwich. I am so impressed, the scone was so fresh and tasty on its own, but adding that jam takes it to a new level. The tea was flavorful and rich. My friend also enjoyed her sandwich, I tried a bit, it was scrumptiously good. We had a lovely time at Penny Farthing Tea Room & Bakery, it is truly an experience to spend some time here.

There is not back entrance. The tea shop has outdoor seating and two rooms inside, at least one of which can apparently be rented out.
