So far all the meals as I have eaten there often have been excellent. Service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean overall even the bathrooms. The parking is good and since the addition of the rear lot exit safe also. The speed of preparation from the kitchen can vary but the food always comes out hot and together. I will say one thing they realy need to fix and I have had this on numerous times and it is the Ranch Dressing. Stopped in with a party of 7 for lunch on a Monday. There is a pretty decent amount of people there and we were able to get a table right away. Our waitresses were very attentive. I ordered the lunch wings with fries and a side of slaw. The wings at Kickbacks are just good. They never disappoint. The fries were cooked well and I love them with a side of ranch. I enjoyed the slaw. The bathrooms were clean and the TVs had enough variety that everyone found some place to dart their eyes. Everyone was pleased with their meals and the prices were right. This is by far the worst kickback hacks i've ever been too. they ALWAYS mess your order up. literally the last two times i've been there i've ordered hot wings and they always end up giving me a flavor other than what i've ordered. We are here on a Sunday evening. The parking lot was packed when we arrived. Despite the full lot we were seated right away and Devin, our waitress, took excellent care of us. I had one of their mixed drinks, a peach drink with their house made sour-it was delicious. I ordered the fresh berry salad with grilled chicken and the raspberry vinaigrette. Everyone in our party was pleased with their food. The sound in the restaurant wasn't overwhelming even though it was busy. During these crazy times I totally get a lot of places are short staffed and they're doing their best, which is why this review is not bashing anyone, just pointing out a couple of things. We decided to come in for a quick meal while visiting family. We were seated quickly and the waitress didn't take long to come over and assist us. We did ask a few questions prior to ordering but not too many to aggravate anyone. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start us out which were spinach and artichoke dip and firecracker shrimp. They both were good and held us over until our entrees came. My husband ordered the all American burger with the fried pickles on the side, I had the Combo Cajun Alfredo Pasta (added mushrooms) with a salad, and my son had the kids cheese pizza. OmG the pasta dish was delicious and very very plentiful! I was still eating the spinach dip and my salad so I didn't eat a lot of the entree but the few bites I did eat were good. Very flavorful and just enough spice to give it a "kick" lol. It was so much left over we decided to take it out. My husband continued to talk about how good the pasta was that I ended up cooking some for dinner later that week. So this evening my wife and I wanted to go to Kickback Jacks which has been about our 8th or 9th time going since March of 2023. Well this evening the Cajun Pasta I ordered was disgusting. The pasta was over cooked, there was a sauce poured smothering it that tasted like canned cheese sauce and the shrimp in the dish was over cooked and tasted like rubber. I took one bite and put the dish off to the side. I asked for the manager Tim to discuss the dish and while explaining the issues with the dish Tim stopped me and said I'm sorry that you didn't like the flavor but there's nothing I can do about that. Not Sir is there anything else I can have made for you? So I asked him just to remove it from the table. He did that and went into the kitchen where we could plainly see him laughing with one of the cooks as they looked at and discussed the dish. So I tried the fried chicken wings I ordered to take home for lunch tomorrow instead. As I bit into one of the wings it was extremely dry even after dipping it into the Korean BBQ sauce. Our waitress was delightful and a joy to both my wife and I. When we met the General Manger some time back and the cooks were on top of the food with command. This became our go to spot when out shopping in the area. Over our last few times we have noticed that things have been declining and today and the last time we were there Tim was the Manager on duty. My wife also noticed one of the cooks playing with his hair in the kitchen and going right back to cooking without washing his hands. We decided that if we do go back there we will call ahead and find out who the manager on duty is and if it's Tim we won't be going. Decided to go out to one of what was one of our places to eat on Saturday night. Was kind of busy when we arrived and was the first time ever that we had to wait to be seated. But that's not the problem. We ordered jam burger medium well and Louisiana pasta with a side of Texas toast because pasta doesn't come with any bread for some reason . Once food arrived we noticed all the meat on the pasta was literally burnt. The meat on the burger was cold and charred black, and very dry with no taste. Had to ask two different waitresses about my bread that never arrived. Once our waitress showed back up with the bread ( which was literally a toasted sub roll, not Texas toast) I showed her the burnt food. Which she should have known when she brought it out that it was burnt .So she says well if you would have told me before I could've sent it back. Never offered to speak to a manager or anything Also never received any refills. So after a long drive home of complaining about the food I Decided to call to speak to the manager. Says she's sorry that she'll talk to the cooks but nothing she could do being that we already left already. That we should have said something while we were there. But I did say something. This review is based on about 30 minutes at the bar waiting on my to go order. I was in town because my mom was in the hospital and wanted some food. I saw that this place was crazy busy so I thought "maybe they are good?" and they were pretty good and fast to have nearly every table packed with people. My food was good. I got the fish and chips. My mom liked hers as well. We were a little sad that they wouldn't let us add cheese and bacon to her fries without ordering a full appetizer. The bartender was very very friendly and refilled my drinks promptly. She also had to deal with this guy at the bar who kept trying to set she and I up. Kudos on her keeping it together.
