Service was way slow the last time we were there on a Sunday and then we found out the owner took out all the computers and the servers had to enter the orders by hand. Are you kidding me?! In a place this busy that's just crazy. I'm sure the cooks were going nuts and it showed in the length of time it took to get our food. I went her with a friend a few weeks ago for the 1st time and I loved it. Great family restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and the strawberry pancakes were amazing. I will be going back soon with my family. The only negative was the waitress forgot our coffee and we had to ask for silverwear. What was very disappointing was the menus say dirty doughnuts and every waitress wore a shirt that says dirty doughnuts but when I went to order them they didn't even have them. Service was great. Waitress was very attentive and kept drinks full. The food on the other had is a complete opposite. I had the Carnitas tacos with rice and beans. The pork was terribly salty and dry, the refried beans were tasteless and oily, the rice was horrible! Dry, and had like a pan fried crispness that made it hard and crunchy!! This has been my favorite breakfast place for years. I always get there before 9AM on weekends to avoid the wait. The folks that work there always remember me and give me my favorite seat if it is available. Most of the waitresses know me and know what I like to order by heart. This place is an OK breakfast restaurant. Just OK. This place had a great reputation when it was located in Pomona. They moved to Claremont and then opened up in Rancho. This place was probably beloved in Pomona because it was the only place in Pomona where you could get a decent breakfast (unless you consider Denny's good food). Now to the food and service... The food is unique. There are a lot of strange combinations. The french toast is awful. They make is with sourdough bread. The plates and glasses are weird. The line is always long. Enjoyed everything from the food to the service. I had the chicken sausage and pancakes. I also had the corn bread muffin. Everything was so delicious. This is my second time at kick back jacks and I have to say it is now one of my favorite restaurants to dine in. From the first time I set foot in the restaurant I was greeted by a blond lovely young girl with glasses. I was seated within a few short minutes and it felt very nice to have been acknowledge right away by the staff. As soon as I was seated a host got our drinks very friendly he made me feel right at home. Soon after my server was at the table introducing her self I believe her name was Yolanda.She had really good recommendations of what to order, since the menu has so much to offer everything sounded so delicious. I ordered the crispy chicken burger with onion rings, the chicken burger was outstanding and very juicy and tasty. The onion rings were golden and crisp very delicious. This is my families favorite place to eat breakfast and lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious. The ice tea is fresh brewed constantly through out the day. Yolanda is our favorite server. She always has a smile on her face and is happy to bring you any additions you may wish to add to your order. She makes sure you're happy with your food and is quick to have your drinks refilled. This place was formerly known as BC Cafe. It basically still is which is why I think both the Rancho Cucamonga and Claremont locations still have the BC Cafe logo under Kick Back Jacks. This place is a traditional diner in the spirit of Denny's and Ihop but I believe it to be much better in portion as well as quality. If you go with a friend it will cost you around 30 to 40 bucks but it's worth it. My fiancée and I had breakfast when we went and it was great. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was huge and i was only able to eat half. It came with rice and beams which were a little bland to be honest. My fiancée ordered the waffles, or waffle. I say this because one took up the entire plate and is more than enough for one person. While I ordered the burrito I have to say that I enjoyed her waffle considerably more. They had a ton of flavor, were cooked perfectly and were simply the best I have ever had. When we arrived, the staff gave us complimentary chips and fresh salsa that were very tasty especially because the chips were home made. One thing that was very cool is that the drinks come in a rather big cup. Nothing is more annoying than having a small drink full of mostly ice and this place clearly knows that. While we only ordered breakfast, this place has a rather large menu with everything from breakfast, lunch, dinner, skillets, burgers and all. Only downside is they don't seem to like substitutions. I have had this restaurant bookmarked for a while & decided to pop in on my way home from Vegas. I ordered the carnitas omelet & I subbed hash browns for beans. It also came with toast and tortillas. My husband had eggs with hamburger patty & a pancake on the side. Now, the omelet is pretty thick and came a generous helping of beans. I suppose you could say they were refried beans that weren't completely mashed.. I'm a little picky about beans. I like my refried beans completely mashed, but I found a nice little piece of bacon that they used for seasoning & I gladly ate it. Now on to the omelet. It was pretty good.. Something was missing in the carnitas meat, however, it was nice & tender. Too bad that none of the meat had crispy ends to it. Also, the temp of beans were lukewarm. I prefer my hot foods to be hot. The wait getting seated and the wait on food was reasonably short. Overall, I thought that the food & service was relatively good, but food was more on the average side. My husband loved his hamburger patty as it was homemade, not a frozen patty. I tasted a bite of his pancake. Very fluffy... but I couldn't taste the butter he spread on them. I suspect that it was not real butter to be quite honest. I also didn't taste any on my toast either, but there was something spreader on there...I'm a real butter person. I'd only eat an imitation butter spread in a desperate pinch.... This wouldn't be my first choice in breakfast spots, but not my last either... read more

We ordered the Country breakfast (i.e biscuits & gravy) and the eggs Benedict. Poached eggs on the EB were overcooked (not at all runny) and the ham was way too salty. The gravy for the biscuits was also over-salted, and I tend to enjoy salty foods. The potatoes were delicious though, so giving them an extra star for that. Expected so much better given the positive reviews here. Maybe their cook had an off-day but this meal made my husband and I feel so sick, not worth giving them a second chance. read more

My wife and I went in for breakfast with coupons from Cucamonga Monthly Coupons mailer. We were surprised when our waitress told us our coupons were not good on weekends. We asked to see the manager and she told us the restaurant has never accepted coupons on weekends. We had cut out the breakfast coupon from the mailer and left the rest of the ad at home. The manager assured us the rest of the advertisement in the Cucamonga Mailer included a statement that coupons are not accepted on weekends. This was not true. We took our son and future daughter in law for my birthday here they wanted to take me out to eat and I asked if they've been here since they haven't I suggested it because my husband and I have had a good experience in the past but today on my birthday it wasn't I ordered the spinach omelet adding avocado which was dark and black then to top it off everyone got their food before me which I had to wait another 7 minutes then we asked about the appetizer because she never bought it out she said pointing at her book where she writes orders stated the system is outdated and all the food comes out together as any other place when we ordered the appetizer we received it before our food just like any other place if that was true she should have asked if we wanted if before our food it didn't make sense so of course the appetizer was bought out and we asked for a to go box so when we paid I asked the girl at the register what their policy was when you order an appetizer (looking baffled why I asked) she stated it comes before your food is bought out so I repeated what I mention above she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager at this moment being it was my birthday I just wanted to go to the next surprise that my kids had planned I'm very very disappointed also the fans need to be cleaned and the beens too I never notice because I'm usually half asleep because I work night shift 12-16 hours now I understand what my husband was trying to tell me why he didn't want to eat there and all our plates were chipped I could go on and on this was Sunday 9/24/2017 we were there at 1 pm I'll have to look at the receipt because I don't recall the waitress's name read more

We came here this morning at the recommendation of a server at another unnamed breakfast place. Not knowing what to expect we went in and were promptly seated. Not 20 seconds went by and someone came to get our drink order. Soon after the drinks arrived our server Lori showed and took our food order. While waiting for our food I could not believe how many employees I was watching scurrying around taking care of guests, it was amazing. Lori was so attentive that she kept refilling my coffee cup before I was ready, she moved like the coffee ninja, sneaking in that top off and vanishing before I could say not to. But really, you cannot argue with attentive service like that. By now our food arrives, now mind you, the place is busy and the ticket time had to be around 10-12 minutes....wow was I impressed! The food was good and plentiful. It was more than I could eat. The pancakes are big and fluffy and full of flavor and the lone standout of breakfast was the toast. Of all things, toast right? But it was not your ordinary supermarket loaf of bread fare, this was thick sliced fresh bread. It was awesome. So, great service, big portions of good food, what more can you say?
