Sushi platter for 2
Tiffany C.

I always order take-out here as my budget-friendly-but-still-decent sushi spot. It was my first time dining in and it exceeded my expectations. We got the sushi platter for 2, which came with soup, salad and tempura and a variety of sashimi, sushi and maki. Everything was really well made and tasted great, even the sashimi! We also got the strawberry sake which was apparently a new menu item and it was tasty Our server was also super friendly and service was super quick.

This place is much much better than the other takeout Kibo locations around the GTA! Great service and always fresh delicious food! Love having this small sushi shop in the neighborhood. The tea and soup are always piping hot, tempuras are top notch and sushi rolls are great as well.

This take-away sushi place may not have the lowest prices, but the quality is excellent, and the sashimi is very fresh. It's definitely worth a try. 呢間take away壽司價錢唔算平,但係quality好好,而且啲刺身係好fresh嘅。值得一試。

Sushi box is on the far right corner

Great party platter (I got 2 of the Maki, sashimi, nigiri platter B)! Came in a beautiful box as well. Fresh fish and my family enjoyed for Christmas Eve (they are picky eaters). Worth the money - it was fairly priced compared to other sushi places.

The staff are kind, attentive, and friendly with great customer service. The food is delicious with good portions, and everything is reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Food

Diverse array of food on the menu. The atmosphere is eclectic Japanese with sheik comfortable layout and casual Asian jazz in the background. The service was attentive.

The ambiance definitely reminds me of downtown. I only found out about this new location of Kibo Sushi House while I took my after work walk. This new location only opened last week. It reminds me of being back in Seoul too. Very fast service. We ordered the Sashimi B (20 pieces) $24.95 very fresh. Soft shell crab $10.95, the batter was not thick at all. It was delicious. In terms of the Ebi shumai $7.95 I think this can use some improvement as the consistency inside was powdery and a little thick. The flavour was good but it's the consistency inside. The Kibo Dragon roll is definitely worth highlighting. Usually some rolls with lobster tail inside, you can taste the frozen flavour of the lobster. This one doesn't have that flavour. The roll contains lobster tail topped with assorted sashimi. So you won't get bored. Definitely Quite an enjoyable roll. I would say it's a good find as there is no grand opening sign outside!

The nigiri was decent on both deliveries with the rolls being a tad above average. I was tempted to order a bowl but wanted a more filling option. With my go to spot for sushi delivery not showing any signs of revival. This might fill the void for now. 3.5 stars

Located a few doors down to the right of the W hotel. The fish is exceptionally fresh and of premium quality, with every bite melting in your mouth. The chefs clearly prioritize quality and authenticity, and each dish is beautifully presented. The menu includes delicate cuts of fatty tuna (otoro and chutoro), buttery Hokkaido uni, and beautifully marbled salmon that practically melts in your mouth. They also serve rarer options like golden eye snapper (kinmedai) and amberjack, Otoro, chutoro, unagi, amago, and more; each prepared to highlight its unique flavors and textures. The chefs at Yuzuki use traditional methods like aging and lightly searing certain cuts, enhancing the natural flavors of the fish without overwhelming it. Every bite showcases freshness and expertise, making it a must-visit for sushi enthusiasts. Yuzuki in Toronto is a gem for sushi lovers. From the moment you enter, the elegant ambiance and servers in traditional kimonos set a refined tone. The service is impeccable--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. You can really tell there's a lot of care behind every course. What stood out to me most was how calm and focused the whole experience felt--it made it easy to slow down and actually enjoy each bite. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I want something a little more special.

There were three add-ons (toro with caviar $25, uni with caviar $35, and caviar sushi). I opted in for the toro and uni add-ons. It was strange they give you the add-ons before any other nigiri. Everything was very good and fresh. Standouts for me was the appetizer, all three cuts of bluefin tuna, the lobster (by far my favorite), and the hotaru ika. I would've appreciated knowing that the omakase included or not included toro and uni before I decided on the add-ons but I don't regret it. It was a splurge night after all. Service was very attentive. Note that the dining space is very small. 12 seats around the counter and two tables. There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.

The space itself leans more modern and clean rather than the typical dark, cozy izakaya vibe, which I actually didn't mind. It felt comfortable, not too loud, and easy to settle into for a slow dinner. We ordered a mix of small plates to share, and everything came out looking nicely put together. The aburi-style salmon sushi was one of the highlights for me.. lightly seared, with a soft texture and just enough flavor on top without being overwhelming. The tuna tataki was also fresh and clean, simple but well done. Some of the fried dishes leaned a bit richer with the creamy sauces, but they were still enjoyable, especially if you're in the mood for something a little more indulgent. The beef fried rice was straightforward but satisfying, one of those dishes that's easy to keep going back to between everything else. Drinks were a nice touch too.. refreshing, nicely presented, and added to the overall experience. Overall, this feels like a solid spot for a casual night out with friends. It's not overly traditional, but it's easygoing, shareable, and comfortable.. the kind of place you'd come back to when you just want good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
