Tt: bigback.jess (to see my video of me trying it) So we decided to try something new! I've never been to a Cambodian restaurant before and decided tonight was the night. (It's a local small business which is a plus!!) The service provided was phenomenal, the lady who was helping us was really nice and even recommended a few dishes to us. The parking was good but I could imagine it being bad if it was busy, but I doubt it. The store was clean and "homey", which I love. The first dish we got was the papaya salad. Okay so I've discovered I be very had this type of papaya salad, and was told it was really really hot. We decided to get the 1 star because we weren't about to die. To me, the papaya salad was a little too fishy for me. I love fish sauce but this was a different level. It was still good, and could see why people love it. Our favorite was the Lort Chaa, it was a unique dish that worked perfectly together! Love the freshness of the veggies combined with the noodles. We did like the fried pork with the noodles and fried tofu. Love it, wish there was different sauce options but of course, they gave the traditional sauce which was too strong for me. The spring rolls were pretty good, and LOVE the papaya salad it came with, I ate that all. This all came out to be about $50 but I think it's worth it!

I had to come here immediately as soon as I had seen my favorite items on the menu! We had ordered the papaya salad, beef stick, fried chicken, lort cha, and shrimp paste fried rice. The lort cha is pretty much how my mom makes it. The shrimp paste fried rice was also good, but I prefer to eat it with a different sauce than the one they serve. I ordered the papaya salad as 5 stars and it did not disappoint! The flavors were great, I just wish that there was more of the salted crab. Mine came with only a couple of pieces and it is my favorite part of papaya salad. The beef stick was just delicious, no notes! It's a pretty small space, with the kitchen being semi open. Service was good, and after eating you pay at the register. Kent is a far drive for me but I would definitely love to come back!

Khmer Style is such a cute restaurant. Tucked away behind the old Big 5 and an automotive shop on Kent east hill. The restaurant has lots of windows that lets in natural light. Lovely way to keep the place warm. I seen a few people try their beef sticks, and I wanted to check this out for myself. The beef sticks with the pickled veggies are good. But I think the beef sticks can use a little more salt. And love how the pickled veggies compliments the beef sticks, though. They also give you some bread to eat with it, too. This is my first time trying beef sticks with bread and this reminded me of Bahn mi. (Yummm) I also ordered the papaya salad, five stars which is not spicy, but I had a craving for Khmer papaya salad because I tried this once before and I liked it. It is a little different from all the other papaya salads I have eaten before, but this is way I wanted it this time and it was delicious! The fermented crab in the papaya salad is super tasty. I think these 2 dishes you should definitely try. I will be back to see the way sweet ladies that helped me again and will try something new to add to my review of Khmer Style.

The food was very tasty! The staff are friendly, limited English but overall easy to order. They also do catering so if you need a party catered you should consider this place. Seems very authentic.

Stopped in for lunch today. This is a quaint, family owned restaurant. Ordered the Beef Sticks, Lort Chha and the Papaya Salad. The food was fresh, flavorful and authentic. This is a great find in Kent. The service was also very good.

The place is small and prolly won't fit 20 customer. Waiter, owner, or server lady needs to be more friendly. Her facial expression was like its was a burden to her that we were there. Papaya salads was 5/5 Tripe salads were more of spleen salads 2/5 Wings was meh 3/5 Noodles was the worst Cambodian style soup I ever had. 1/5 server was 1/5

Came to eat here with my husband, brother in law and his wife. Everything from the customer service to the food was absolutely amazing. It's a cute little place with plenty of seating. The drinks were great. You HAVE to try their meat skewers, they were my favorite! We will be back! :)

Cambodian traditional dishes. The food reminds of me of my mom's home cooked dishes. The broth for the Phnom Penh noodles was very flavorful.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was really tasty and authentic. The owners are friendly too. We will definitely come back to try other dishes.

The server was not welcoming. It felt like we were burdening her with our presence. However, the place itself is small but cute. It was worth it because the food was amazing, and the owner was so nice!

A Mom and Pop Cambodian (Khmer) restaurant. The food was very delicious. They were super busy at the time I was there. The service was awesome. I will come back again.

I suspect they are a family business with mom as the cook, plus a son and a daughter as servers, which was the case on a quiet Sunday. The son as the server was bubbly and amicable as I asked questions about popular and favorite dishes. The food is excellent and flavorful, with plenty of leftover foods. Parking is readily available along the streets. The Food and Drinks: Beef Loklak Rice Plate, $20 - 5 Stars This is a hardy dish with flavorful pieces of beef, a fried egg, fresh greens, rice, and a bowl of soup. This dish by itself is a substantial meal. With the sides dishes we ordered, half of this went home. Lort Cha or Fried Pin Noodles with prawns, $20 - 4.5 Stars Available protein is seafood or beef. I requested prawns only, which they accommodated. Served with a side of fish sauce in a squeeze bottle, the server said to apply all over the dish. He also said this is his favorite dish. The food has very good wok hei like a Hong Kong noodle dish. I had plenty of noodles left to make a second dinner after adding veggies and protein. Beef Skewers, $18 - 4.5 Stars Five good size skewers with a dallop of pickled veggies. The seasonings are very distinctive. Oddly, the flavor reminds me of some Chinese style beef jerky. In any case, these are smoky, savory, and yummy. Papaya Salad, $16 - 4.5 Stars They use all the real, authentic ingredients here, including bits of tiny baby crabs. Be careful if you have sensitive gums. Sugar Cane Juice, $7 - 3.5 Stars I would think sugar can juice are all quite similar, but they are not. I didn't like theirs as much for some reason. It was a bit murkier. I probably won't order this in the future. Coconut Coffee, $7 - 5 Stars Our server recommended this. Coconut and coffee sound weird together, but this drink is a winner. Very unique, a touch of sweet, potent like a Viet coffee, and very distinctive. Thumbs up. They are probably closer to 4.5 Stars. Rounding up to support a family business.

We got the Phnom Penh Kuy Tiew, Seafood Lort Cha, and Beef Skewers along with Sugar Cane Juice and Mango Smoothie. My Seafood Lort Cha was delicious. It was a bit oily but having it with the fish sauce combated it. The pin noodles were so much fun and bouncy to eat. The sugar cane juice was also refreshing and it was just freshly squeezed in front of us. My sister enjoyed her Phnom Penh Kuy Tiew, it had a rich pork broth similar to eating babaw. The Mango Smoothie probably wasn't as fresh though. I didn't taste it but my mom thought it wasn't. Lastly, the beef skewers. They were not as good and seemed a bit old tasting? The meat was a bit tough and the texture seemed off. I was satisfied with my dish though and might come back if I'm ever in the White Center area again to try their Nom Banh Chok Buffet.

Upon arrival on the rainy day i was offered water or warm tea and opted for both. Nothing better than that combo for me. Ordered my usual... Pho with rare steak, tripe, tendon and added meatballs. Broth is flavorful, as with anything you make it how you want after the initial taste and i only add limes and chili oil with the added basil. Nothing else. Fun fact: sriracha and hoisin are meant to be on the side to dip in, not poor into the broth. Also what makes me come back here is the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. The added crispy crunch on the inside makes these next level with the dark Romaine and just enough noodles to not overwhelm them like other places. A little added tunes whether traditional or not would be great. Or maybe the sound from the TVs playing food videos from around Vietnam would be cool. The silence was actually a could change up with the air conditioning and sound from the kitchen cooking. Great experience and glad i finally got to come in here!

There were a few people picking up at the time we entered, but nobody else dining in. When one of the servers came with our cold waters, we placed our food order right away with her. We got two orders of the Pork Patty Spring Rolls, a Kids Meatball Pho, a Combination Pho, a Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl and a Vietnamese Pancake. After about 5 minutes, we got the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. Every single time we order them, they taste so good!!! Hits the spot whenever we visit this restaurant. Probably our favorite dish, actually. After we devoured the Spring Rolls, our entrees came out - Combination Pho and the Kids Meatball Pho. Then a few minutes later, the Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl came out. I normally like to pour some Sriracha and Hoisin Sauce into my Noodle Bowl along with the sauce it originally comes with. Mixing everything in all of that makes it that much more flavorful for me! Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the food and the service. The Pho broth seemed a little bland and not seasoned as well as before. Other than that, all of the other food items were tasty and to our liking. The restaurant itself has ample amount of space to sit at since there are plenty of seating and tables available. Parking outside is good, there are plenty of spaces to park at as well. There used to be a Big 5 Sporting Goods store, but since that's gone, parking hasn't been an issue at all. They have pretty decent Vietnamese food for reasonable prices and adequate portions.

PAPAYA SALAD (SOM TOM), PHAD KEE MAO (DRUNKEN NOODLES) and I believe the TOM YUM FRIED RICE with tofu. I like how thin the papaya is for the salad. The spice level at three was perfect for us enough of a kick but not taking away from the flavor of the food. Space is warm and welcoming, lots of seating. We looked around other spots to eat at and ultimately decided to wait it out despite our grumbling tummies (or maybe it was just me)! We walked around the area and ended up in Daiso next door killing time and I picked up some art supplies to my ever growing pile. Finally it was open and we walked in, got sat, the staff were very friendly and smiling the whole time. Of course I thought we would be ordering at least 4-5 dishes to share but we ended up with a papaya salad with prawns (they are huge!), Chicken Pad Kee Mao, and the Garlic Fried Rice. Usually when it's me and my husband we always have to order our OG 3 dishes when we try a new spot but obviously I wasn't with my husband so we made a mutual decision and BOY THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The portions are pretty dang big! I don't think I've ever ordered a papaya salad on my own but the prawns? Did I already mention how big they were? Sheesh. The Pad Kee Mao?? I've had a few at different restaurants and really thought I just didn't like it and it wasn't my thing but I shoved a forkful into my mouth and immediately texted my husband saying we need to come back here like ASAP. It was so delicious! Something about it made me think "oh yea this is definitely what I expect when I think of Pad Kee Mao". I saved the best for last. GARLIC Fried Rice? Why have I never tried such a dish? (Hubs and I usually order Pineapple Fried Rice)... but holy moly. My love for garlic can keep a vampire away for miles! Best. Garlic. Fried. Rice. I'll definitely be back despite the fact I live an hour away but that's not going to hold me back.

We went last night for dinner at 9 pm and had to wait but were seated quickly. Our wait for water and to give our order took a bit longer than expected. When we sat down at our table both of our empty water goblets were visibly dirty and streaked, as were the plates kept on the table. We cleaned them ourselves and didn't ask for replacements. Our server was curt and rude but only to us, as we could often see her smiling and joking with her other tables around us. We couldn't help but notice that we were a different race than everyone else. After our food was dropped we realized we didn't have silverware. I sat waiting to be checked on but it didn't happen, so I had to take a set from a nearby reset table. Our water carafe was never refilled when it became empty. We were never offered drinks or refills of those drinks. We were checked on once very late in the meal, but just "is it ok" without actually stopping to listen or make eye contact. When I was just over halfway done with my food, our server came to the table and set our check booklet down with much more force than necessary. I had never seen this woman before in my life, why would she be so short with us? When looking at the menu earlier we had seen a dessert we wanted to try, so I had to ask our server not to give us our check without the option of dessert. She was not apologetic about it. She said "So you want a menu?" and I said no, we wanted the Ube 3 Ways. Her treatment to us was so unnecessary that it made me sad for the rest of the night, when I should have had a great time at the casino resort.
