Recently, I stopped in with a friend to get some work done. I tried a hot apple cider and an almond croissant. I love that they heated up the croissant and the filling was just the right amount and delicious. This was definitely the cozy fall treat I needed. And it was ready right away and brought to my table! This is the perfect coffee shop to work in with plenty of seating and it has a cute little boutique attached to it. What a great addition to downtown Mt. Prospect!!!

What a great place!! Khepri is a coffee shop, restaurant and boutique all under one roof. You order at the counter, and then the staff brings your food to your table. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. I had a chicken avocado sandwich that came with a side salad, and also ordered a mocha latte. As my friend and I waited for our food to be prepared, we browsed the nearby merchandise selves, which were full of candles, flower pots, jewelry, puzzles and all sorts of other fun finds. The interior is larger than it looks from the outside, with plenty of tables in a couple of different rooms. We sat at the counter, and had a nice couple of hours enjoying our food and conversation. I'll be back soon for sure!

A lovely coffee shop/restaurant in downtown Mount Prospect. They are celebrating their year anniversary at this location and it is a great addition. They have a large selection of coffee and teas, smoothies and cocktails. The food options are plentiful . They have bowls, a variety of toasts, salads and small bites. On a Sunday morning, it was very busy. There is a variety of seating options, indoor and outdoor, and areas of cozy couches. They also sell a variety of items, baby clothes and items, jewelry , cards, and ceramics. They host a variety of events , mostly in the evening. I had the London Fog Latte- the Earl Grey tea was piping hot and the vanilla added just the right amount of sweetness. My husband had a pumpkin spice latte. A wonderful addition to downtown Mount Prospect.

This has quickly become one of our favorite little coffee shops. We discovered this place two weeks ago and have already gone twice. It will become a frequent stop in our coffee shop rotation :) They've got tons of seating, a wonderful staff and so many good food and drink options to meet many dietary restrictions. It's a fast casual vibe, but with delicious food that's way more upscale than expected. And a bonus for me, not only do they carry great coffee and tea options, they also have alcohol and thc beverages to enjoy as well. I also love how kid friendly they are. They've got a little kids table with games/toys/books and I guess they even have family events which I need to check out! Oh and they have such a cute little gift shop in the front - clothing, cards, houseware, etc. Parking is limited out front, but there's a parking lot behind the building which you can utilize and there's an entrance on that side too.

We stopped in for the grand opening on Saturday and it was such a great vibe. The community really showed up, so it was quite busy, but service was nevertheless friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is sort of New Age-yuppie, with a clean aesthetic. 90s music played. Seems they may really be targeting my age group (late 30s-early 40s). The interior was larger than I expected, with both bar and table seating. One corner of the cafe is actually a shop, with an eclectic variety of items for sale, including art, greeting cards, kids toys, jewelry, and books. The food and drink menu at this location seems to be different than what is posted on their website for their Chicago location. That said, my husband got the toast with arugula and prosciutto, and he could not stop raving about it. He was still dreaming about it the next day. For myself, I got the kale and shredded brussels sprout salad, which was also good, but I'd probably try something different next time (was not as heavy on the citrus as I prefer my kale salads). For drinks, we tried the AOC Latte and the Michelle Obama. We prefer our coffee more sweet, so liked the AOC better of these two. We've been back again, and tried more drinks, so now I can also recommend the Brown Sugar Latte. We're both really excited to go back and try even more things on the menu. Really hoping they have great success here in Mount Prospect. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Yummy food, comfortable seating, and a mini gift shop - all in one space. The food was delicious, the staff friendly, and the shop filled with whimsy (expensive whimsy though). A fun place to meet a friend for a meal or coffee.

AOC latte- it's got a spicy kick to it just like AOC herself

Finally, a non-big chain place to grab a cup of coffee or a bite in downtown coffee that plays good music and has a mellow, inviting vibe. Loved the spicy AOC latte, the goat cheese fig & prosciutto toast and the trio of spreads. Everything so fresh and flavorful, especially their warm sourdough bread. They have a cute little gift shop in the front and a side room with soft seating and couches to lounge in if you don't want to sit at a table or the counter.

I love this place and wish it was there before I moved. My coffee has been amazing and I love all the retail area. I will definitely be coming more often.

They were some how "out" of decaf coffee and had no lids for the cold to-go cups, so we got our drinks in hot cups.

The restaurant is part of a mixed-use building with apartments. Note that there are several spots in the apartment lot reserved for Coco and Maple guests, which is key as it is situated towards the end of the downtown area. Whereas Coco and Blu is more cozy, this is definitely leaning more industrial and modern. They retain a similar eclectic vibe with wallpaper and mismatched furniture. Orders are placed at the counter, and this time around we went for avocado toast and a Nutella strawberry toast for my kids. Both delightful! Other fan favorites for us include the quiche, matcha lattes, and espresso and tonic.

When we got there, I was a little surprised to see there were already people there seated and having coffee and breakfast. Luckily got there early enough so that I did find some street parking although in this particular area street parking is not that common but there are some lots also. The place is very cute very large high ceilings. The furniture is so cute and a mix. The two girls who are working behind the counter that day were so patient and very friendly. While it was a nice day out, I will say I wish they air conditioning was a little bit better because they do at least keep the doors closed. There is seating outside however we chose to sit inside to get and stay cool. There's a quite a variety of seating options from couches and different chairs and communal tables or separate single tables We did each order a different latte for the bucket. The traditional quiche was absolutely delicious and brought out heated and warm. The plates are so super cute too with all of the floral feminine touches. While all the other reviews do state that this is pricey I will agree this is pricey for a coffee shop that doesn't serve a full meal. But I will say that I do support local small business so I'm OK with this. But how often will I come here knowing that the prices are quite high is probably maybe a few times a year at best I hope the menu continues to evolve and grow. I would definitely come back, but this is for sure. A treat not an everyday normal routine.

I thought that was a bit crazy for two wraps so I just decided to drive to the restaurant myself. Got two Dubai style chicken Shawarma wraps and asked for sauce when I picked up the order. He gave me some sport peppers and some garlic sauce. I asked for hot sauce and he said there would be an extra charge for it. When I looked at the container it was a small container of some kind of hot sauce. I decided to skip as I already paid for my order. The amount of meat is generous, but the flavor is very very mediocre. It just tasted like a wrap filled with warm lettuce, warm tomatoes, warm garlic sauce, surrounded in bland chicken inside a tortilla that was buttered with sesame seeds on top and then toasted. The tortillas were all hanging on the edge of the lid that all of their condiments are stored in. It was really bizarre. Would be nice if the meat had some flavor or at the very least they offered sauces without an additional charge. Total was $29 Will not be returning.

Second, I ordered via their website, which was simple, and 5 minutes later the order was ready. The staff was polite and efficient. Third, the food was DELICIOUS! I got the Bishkek mix wrap with fries. The wrap was full of fresh ingredients, including meat, cheese, vegetables, and a tasty garlic sauce. NOTE that the website's pics are cartoony and don't represent what you get. It was much bigger than I expected (that's not a complaint ;-). The fries were hot and crispy. I'll be back. Maybe I'll see you there! Peace.

There's also discrepancy in their menu and what they actually have available as it seems they also display items for the the cafe next door. We happened to arrive during happy hour so some menu items were discounted. They also have a complimentary salad bar. We ordered chicken karaage, potstickers, salmon avocado sushi, and I had the katsu sandwich. All the food items we ordered came separately over a span of 20+ minutes, with the sandwich arriving last and cold. Not only did the sandwich come on a cold sourdough bread, the meat also had an unusual texture and so I ended up throwing it out. The other items we ordered were lacking in flavor. The chicken karaage was prepared well but it had no flavor. I'm regret spending money at this establishment.

If customers are waiting before the restaurant opens, you know that you are in for a treat, right?…read moreI mean, this was our first time to Uma Japan Eatery (didn't know it was formerly Ramen USA) and we were a little confused when we arrived because there was signage for Uma, Ramen USA, and M Cafe. So we got out of the car and saw someone pull up in front of the restaurant and jump out at 11:59. As soon as the door was unlocked at 12pm, this customer went in, and a few others after them. This is a small joint, and it was already half full by the time we ordered, then sat down (they told us the table at which to sit). I didn't know, but asked, and found out that a salad bar and miso soup are also included. The salad bar was pretty decent, with fresh vegs. They even had French fried onions (my guilty pleasure) and a very good House dressing (ginger vinaigrette). The portions are enormous. The couple next to us got ramen, and it was practically overflowing. We ordered takoyaki (too much food, we didn't need). I had the Pork Katsu bowl and my companion had a Katsu curry. I wished I had ordered the curry -- it looked dark and rich and thick like pudding (not like a boxed curry). They also gave us a bonus piece of chicken karaage which was so large and crispy. I think I'll get the curry next time, or the ramen. We originally came because we were going to get a karaage sando, but get the curry.
