It was a Tuesday night, yet the restaurant was completely packed all the way through closing at 11 pm. We instantly knew that we picked the right place if it was this busy on a random weekday. Everything we ordered was incredible. The entire menu is halal. The beef kebab was tender and full of flavor, the chicken kebab was perfectly cooked, and the steak was just as good. But the real standout for us was the baklava. It's made in-house and served fresh and warm with ice cream, and honestly, I still crave it to this day. We ended up coming back several times during our two-month stay in Texas, and every visit was just as good as the first. I can't wait to try this again the next time I'm in Dallas!

It was perfect for my friends and I who were super hungry and wanted to try a few items. We started with the lamb samsa ( not pictured as I was too hungry) which was perfectly baked with a juicy spicy lamb that was super tender inside. We then also had this beef noodle dish which was the best dish of the night. Can't recall the them of it but, I'd definitely come back just for that dish. We also got the lamb shank Plov which was another favorite, and lastly the dumplings, which were our least favorite. The dumpling dough was a but too thick for our liking. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, especially with our server who was so kind and friendly, and so were her family. I'd definitely come back here again to try some of their other dishes next time.

Braised oxtails with potatoes and carrots on top of a bed of noodles. It was definitely a comfort food dish. It was like a hearty oxtail stew with a little kick on top of noodle which had soaked up the sauce. The only drawback was I wishes the oxtail was more tender. We also ordered the samosas (delicious lamb filling combined with a crispy flaky pastry) and gosh naan (it's like a flat pie, crispy pastry outside and a juicy lamb filling on the inside). Service was very friendly and helpful. Staff answered all our questions and made suggestions for the order. Parking is a shared lot which can be very busy on weekends. I am coming back.

I am definitely going to come back and try some other items on the menu and get the chicken again. I just read another review. I would like to clarify that even though this restaurant was small it was very clean. I ordered the double cheeseburger, and the patties were so thick that I had to remove one just to enjoy it; it was okay after that, but nothing particularly special stood out about the burgers. The atmosphere wasn't great either. The staff didn't seem friendly or welcoming; no greeting when we came in, and ordering felt awkward. On top of that, the place had a bad smell, which made it feel a little dirty. We originally planned to eat inside but ended up ordering to go because of this. The saving grace was the loaded fries OMG, so good! Honestly, I'd come back just for those. Maybe it was an off day, because I feel like this spot has potential to be good, so we might give it another chance in the future.

You could tell the brisket had been resting for quite a bit because it wasn't warm either. The Mac & cheese that I ordered as a part of this platter was also room temperature and "tart" -- not too sure if this is how it is regularly served but I'll pass next time. We had been eating small bites all day so thankfully we weren't famished when we ordered and I do appreciate the honesty of our server when she stated that this "1/3 lb beef brisket platter" would only be good enough for 1 person. I'm SO glad we didn't order another plate. I would hate wasting so much food. The location itself is spacious and there is ample parking for days when it may be crowded. We were the only diners there during our short time so it's hard to say when they may actually be busy. 2Taste may be great for those with an underdeveloped BBQ taste, but it's a pass for me.

For one, staff seem to be trained well and stay around much longer nowadays while the kitchen staff are working much quicker and reliably to get your orders out. I used to regular have to ask for corrections but that hasn't been an issue of late. As for the food, they have seemingly doubled the size of their menu so there's much more for me to try out, but their classics like the Brisket, Philly Cheesesteak and especially the Zinger Fried Chicken Sandwich have seen marked improvements. That last comes out crispy, thick and with a spicy garlic mayo that's to die for. If they improve across the board like that it's a winner. This has definitely moved to deserve it's spot as a local institution I would recommend and if this trajectory continues, I'll probably be back later to bump up their rating.
