My service here was so unbelievably bad. It prompted me to take 10 minutes to actually sign up for Yelp- hoping I can spread the word about a disastrous experience that may help others to stay away from this KFC establishment. I'll start with the horrible ending, and work backwards so at 8:48pm, I ordered a bucket of KFC chicken- even though they are open until 10pm - at 8:48pm They were out of chicken breasts. The manager told me you would take 15 minutes to make the chicken which ended up taking 27 minutes, but the story gets worse- after waiting for 27 minutes, a rep who painfully took a moment to acknowledge me, only to tell me that my chicken was ready, but that all of the mac & cheese was 'frozen solid', and that it would take seven (7) minutes to prepare it. Finally after 16 minutes the mac & cheese was ready -however, she wasn't sure if they had biscuits. Finally, after 49 minutes of waiting in the lobby of this KFC, my meal was ready. Of course by this time the chicken was cold, but I didn't stop to think about that until I got home. To make matters worse, they didn't put any butter or condiments of any type, including gravy, in my order. There were obviously many good people that work in the fast food industry and specifically I would imagine at this KFC, however, Jim- the manager, the only guy that seemed to remotely have interest in me being there left immediately after I placed the order with him. You have to believe if I went through the drive window I wouldn't have experienced this horrific event. If they're not prepared to service customers within the store, they should just close the restaurant doors earlier. Obviously had to gone through the drive-through. I would've not had this type of ordeal. My daughter always tells me I'm crazy to go in the units, because they don't focus on people who "walk in". This is obviously the case. But it was the lack of concern from the employee's that was so overwhelming. My son is ironically, an Uber or DoorDash driver to make some extra cash. When I told him of this experience, he just laughed and said that DoorDash drivers especially do not patronize this KFC unit for this exact reason -the service is just disastrous. For those of you who read these things and believe in these testimonies, please take this one to heart and look for alternate dining experiences in the city of Willoughby. PS - now that we're back to the beginning of this nightmare I should relate that it took five (5) minutes for me to get someone to even focus on me standing at the counter when I arrived. In fact, I actually called this KFC's phone twice while I was waiting at the counter. I just stood there, listening to the phone ring, without anyone answering it. The sides and the breading on the chicken were so salty we couldn't even finish our dinner. It is rather disappointing when one looks forward to a KFC dinner and splurge on calories once in awhile. Clearly they were trying to get rid of breasts and hoping I didn't notice.
