The food is good the problem is sometimes they get the order wrong by missing something. Employees aren't the best (no smile, just grab things out of your hands, rude sometimes). About 80% of the time I don't get a receipt so I question sometimes if I really am paying the right price. read more

Talija I think was mod and took our order because I asked for manger because they don't honor ads at this location. So don't expect to get current deals on tv or online. After she took our order she informed me drive thru gave away our chicken even though she checked before we ordered and if we wanted it still we had to wait 30 minutes. My husband had already taken his insulin so we had no choice but to settle for legs and tenders. She personally over cooked our food it was dry and nasty. I called to let her know maybe timer was off because it was hard and dry she said "no it's not I cooked it myself it gets like that after 20 minutes" well my house is 5 minutes away. Take a class in customer service woman. I am writing this because 3rd times a charm! How does a chicken place always run out of chicken? She said I HAD to get mash and coleslaw and couldn't change the order or I would have to pay the original price. my kids don't cole slaw so I had to pay extra for a Mac n cheese.. I was was told that it would take 10min to cook the hot wings and the offered a free drink while I wait. This location is much better that the one on Monte Vista Ave. They gave me old and cold hot wings at that location. If you're craving KFC just come here. It wont dissapoint. read more

So it's the second time I go to this location and they are always put of chicken for the day. The first time I went there it was about 9:30pm. I know they close at 10 but what kind of restaurant doesn't serve food if they are still open....the second time was yesterday it was 8:30. Again there was no chicken and they refuse to make anymore crispy chicken because it would take an hour to cook and they close at 10. Bad service I completely dislike this location. I've only lived in this town 6 months. KFC is one of my favorite "fast" food restaurants... Typically stop in 3-4 times a week. Problem is, this place does not have its act together at all. 80% of the time when I stop in they don't have certain food available/ready. Today at 11:15 no biscuits... will be a 15 min wait . Went there 3 days ago at 9:30... They say there not making anymore chicken tenders (they close at 10:00) I went from going 12-16 times a month to a few times a month now... The last three times I went there I had to wait (now... if they tell me something is not ready, I just pull through & go somewhere else). I can accept 10% of the time to have to wait a little but... NOT 80-90% of the time! Specially when I get there at typical lunch and dinner hours. This location in my opinion has owner and management problems that need to be addressed. This has been going on for the last 6 month I've lived in town.... Today I was frustrated enough to call KFC customer service and write this review. I know I'm not the only one that's had an issue with this Golden State location. There's usually several other people waiting in the parking lot for food too. I don't recommend this location to anyone... unless your ok waiting an excessive amount of time or accept that they may not provide whats on the menu. Makes me think either the owner is cheap & will not allow the employees to prepare enough food.... or.... The staff is poorly trained. Makes me wonder what else are they being cheap with? Are the employees getting the proper training to safely handle food? Are they cutting corners? Are they keeping the place sanitary & clean? Do they care about their reputation? Makes you wonder... I suddenly got a craving for Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner. I usually talk myself out of these things because I can't afford to eat out often. But I hadn't had KFC in a long time, so I placed an order online and then drove 5 miles to pick it up. The lobby and the drive thru were closed, so I pulled into a curbside slot and called the number provided on the sign to let them know I was there to pick up my order. The phone rang and rang. I hung up and tried again, but with the same results. I called 6 times but never got an answer. Eventually I gave up and drove 5 miles home, disappointed. I checked my bank account and confirmed that I had been charged for the order. Then I contacted customer service. A rep took all of my information and then transferred me to another rep, to whom I had to explain it all over again. He processed a refund for me, which is fine, but that didn't pay for my wasted mileage. At the end of the call, he said, "Thank you for calling KFC, and we hope to see you again soon." Not likely. There's a fairly new Popeyes in town, so I'll try them next time I get a craving for fried chicken. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Three years ago I got chicken from here. When we got home it was raw. I called and they said bring it back. I live 45 minutes away. So I haven't tried it again since but I was craving it. Tried again. The same person who takes your money, also cooks. No gloves. My wife and I have been wanting fried chicken for sometime now, so tonight we went to the KFC on Golden State Blvd. We ordered the $20.00 fill up, we pulled into the drive through and placed our order, by the time we got to the pick - up window the food was already in bags. That should have been a warning, we got home and un-packed and prepared to put it on plates, as we tried to get the chicken out of the bucket it was falling apart, all the breading had fallen off in the bucket. We ended up getting a couple of thighs, a couple of wings and legs. This chicken must have sat under that light for hours, the wings were so over cooked and dry we couldn't eat them, the thighs were dry and flavorless, we stopped going to the KFC on Monte Vista because of poor quality, and service. I guess they are all getting to be the same ,no quality! I would have returned it if we lived closer ! As much as food cost you would think that a company like KFC would try a little harder!! The worst KFC ever!!!! I've been here a few times and I have never ever left this place happy. The first time I thought maybe it's just a bad day or maybe they are training and people are slow but then I came again ordered a family meal and they forgot my sides. This made me upset because there was no other customers there except for me. Therefor they should have gotten the order perfect but instead they were careless. How could they get an order wrong when there is no one else there? The third time i came here with my family I was told they were closing. It was 9:30 and their closing signs say 10. I was upset but I shook it off. Tonight is the last night I will ever try with this place. They almost never have tenders available I either have to wait 20 minutes for them or they just don't have any. I have been going to this KFC for 20 years. I have never had as many problems with this KFC as I have had over the past couple years. I strongly agree with others stating they never have any food. I would say almost half the time they don't have crispy chicken or if they do then no breasts. It's always something. We would even make jokes about it when we would go to eat there about "Hope they have chicken. Ha ha ha."......The final straw was when my wife went last night, and again, they were out of any crispy chicken stuff whatsoever... In fact they claimed all they had was grilled chicken.. Totally ridiculous. We would have waited for them to cook some but it was like that wasn't an option... Was offered some barbecue strips , cause they were crispy, which regrettably we got. They were so salty that my wife took one bite and spit it out and didn't even try to eat them. I ate a couple of mine as I was starving but they were dry and extremely salty. By then we were home and did not feel like going back to deal with people who obviously don't care. Back in my younger days I worked at a chicken restaurant as one of my first jobs and it shouldn't be that hard to keep up with the demand they have. It is apparent that whoever is running this KFC and their crew just kind of do whatever they want and if there's chicken there's chicken,, if not, oh well... This location seems to always be out of chicken. Went there Thursday at 5:30 pm and ordered a 16 piece original meal. Was informed that they only had part of the order. Didn't offer a wait for more. Ended up with 10 original, 5 extra crispy and 1 grilled. Of course this was after I had already paid and I had a hungry family at home. read more

I have never been to this KFC without having to wait in the parking lot for food. Last month they forgot I was waiting for food. After waiting 30 minutes I walked in. They appoligized and gave me a free cake. Yesterday I ordered food and they gave me part of the order. Discovered this after we got home. We gave it another try because we were busy and the kids requested KFC. This time I checked my order before leaving. Wrong again! I waited and the employee argued that I was wrong and asked me to check again. I did and like I said, they gave me the wrong food. She exchanged it and gave me the fake "have a great day!".
