I feel like for $16 there would be a little actual chicken but it was not worth the money at all. I will not be going back. The other person I was having lunch with had the same issue with his wings, so I don't think I am the only outlier. I gave them 2 starts for the Garlic fries. That is the only thing that filled me up after eating the 8 piece "wings". What a disappointment and rip off!

Came to Jams @ 209 as a simple low-key birthday dinner for the SO. Our meal was good, but something…read moreregarding the bill irked me and left a bad taste in my mouth. Located off Geer and Tuolomne, Jams @ 209 is a cute little sports bar that also serves an extensive menu including wings, burgers, pizza, and tacos. Every wall (and even right outside the establishment) is lined with TVs all playing different sports and music videos with a huge focus on 80's music (perfect for the Gen X-ers who seem to frequent here). Upon entering, we seated ourselves at a corner booth and a few minutes later did a nice lady provide us with menus. The SO had ran to the restroom and the nice lady asked me at the table if we wanted to order drinks. She upsold a rum and coke (the SO's favorite) not because she had asked the SO on his way to the restroom like I had thought, but because they have a happy hour special on them and a few other drinks. What a coincidence! The special was $5 for certain drinks between 2-7PM. The nice lady also tried upselling me to get a drink for myself. I feel like after saying no the first time, she shouldn't have pushed with an "are you sure?" two times after. We ended up ordering: Onion rings - great fry and crisp batter. One of the reasons I chose to come here. Mac and Smash burger with side salad - uses Kraft mac-n-cheese type noodles that were a little bland. But with everything put together (pepper jack, fried onion strings, and chipotle sauce), the burger was delicious. SO was impressed with the side salad lol It wasn't a basic garden-type, but more spinach, cucumber, cheese, croutons, etc. PB&J Protein Power burger with sidewinder fries - double patty made this reaaaal meaty. There was a subtle pb&j flavor which was nice, but wish it had more. Sidewinder fries were like the jojo's version of curly fries - thick and potato-y. All portions were big and I thought proportional to the price (esp in this economy). What soured our meal was when we received the bill. There were two line items for +$0.75 for cheddar cheese. I spoke with our nice lady server and she said that it was because we got cheese on our burgers... *question marks??* 1. The item description for both our burgers already include cheese 2. We didn't ask to sub any type of, or add more cheese 3. If we were going to be charged for cheese, we weren't prompted about it beforehand. We didn't get the charges taken off until after these 3 statements were made. I get it, $1.50 isn't much but it's the principle of sneaking in $1-2 for something we didn't ask for. It makes me think they do this often at the expense of patrons under the influence. Just a warning for future customers, double check your bill!!

The restaurant is in connection with the motel behind it I believe but don't let that be a reason for you to not give it a try, as the motel looks runned down. There was one guy working at the time and we were the only customers there the whole time. Food was served around the 15min marker give or take, and was nice and hot. Everything that we got was nice and flavorful... I seen reviews about there being no meat in the sweet and sour chicken or orange chicken but ours was nice and filled. My only dislike was I didn't really like the wonton soup, the veggies tasted old and the wonton also had an off taste. Over all I liked this place and will be going back many times.

The pizza used to be really good but tonight, hear me when I tell you, "DO NOT ATTEMPT IT!" Worst pizza I've ever had! The crust looked and tasted like it was frozen then left out to thaw on the counter. The edges of the dough were dried out or had freezer burn and should not been used. It was under cooked, paper thin crust that would shatter like stale crackers, hardly any sauce, cheese was damn near non existent and the meats where not cooked enough to even look as if they'd been in an oven. Really bad after taste as well! I'm so disappointed and will never return. Way over priced for a shitty pizza! Shame on the cook for thinking this was acceptable to serve. Shame on this place! My friend and I split the wedge, which was very large. The picture I posted is a half portion they had separated for us to share. The only thing I would recommend is, the Bleu cheese dressing was lacking flavor and adding Bleu cheese crumbles would add so much more flavor. I ordered the seafood risotto. It had salmon, Mahi Mahi, shrimp, mussels and spinach. It had really good flavors and was large enough for me to take some home for my daughters to try. One of my friends ordered the Primavera pasta. She chose that because she wanted something vegetable heavy and it sure did have a variety. It has spinach, artichoke, bell peppers onions and zucchini. She's not huge on spice, but said the spicy marinara wasn't overpowering. My other friend ordered the pork schnitzel. She thought it was very good and I was able to snag a bite to try and I also enjoyed it. I would consider ordering it myself next time. We were too full for dessert, but the options sounded really good and I might have to go try them next time. Also, still no liquor license, so we stuck to water and soda. For dinner we ordered the Chicken Pesto Pasta & Caprese Sandwich. Both dishes were plentiful. The pasta had lots of chicken. The only small critique would be the fries. They are thin frozen type fries. Other than that the sandwich was tasty. We ended our meal with a crème brûlée. The interior is also a bit different. The floor and wall colors are a bit odd/ they don't really match the tables theme. And there is a part of the kitchen that could be seen from the dining room that is also unappealing. An easy fix would be a large curtain for this area. But those small details don't take away from the friendly service and great food. Definitely recommend and will be back to try other items on the menu.

It appears customer service has fallen to the wayside - I just called to try and place a togo order and was dismissed by the staff member on the other line and told to use the web app(through toast). However, the toast menu doesn't match the menu on table 26's own website. When I pointed this out to the staff member I was told that if I wanted one of those items I could come in and order it in person. I clarified that the person wouldn't accept call in orders and they told me they don't have the ability to do that(despite it saying on yelp that you can call to order). I'm not sure if the phone lines have been outsourced or something else, but any place that makes it this hard for me to be a customer has lost me as one. It's unfortunate as this used to be one of Turlock's gems for both food and service.
