I usually go to churches and today I am reminded why. The chicken is way, WAY too salty. Salt does not mean seasoned. I haven't eaten KFC is about 5 years because of churches chicken. This was a last minute choice to eat here that everyone was able to agree on. Food was delicious and service was great. Sadly I didn't get any pictures. It was so good that we ordered KFC again the next night at the Española location and were so disappointed at the quality and taste difference between the two locations. I came to this KFC during an off hour, so my wait during the drive through was pretty minimal. However, I have driven past during dinner time and have seen the line wrapped around the store so that's something to keep in mind. Also be sure to read the sign and keep driving up to the menu area to place your order since the pick up window is on the opposite side of most fast food places. As far as the food, it's been years since I've visited a KFC and the fried chicken was really good. I had mine crispy and it definitely beats the kind in the grocery store deli. What really made this visit worth five stars were the Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders. These were so flavorful with a nice kick. When a Business specializes in Chicken a person thinks They are stocked. 2x They were completely Out , only Nuggets. If they have chicken it's only original recipe that is so Greasy it's swamp chicken. Put in an order for pickup the next day. I was on my way to pick it up at the scheduled time, walked in and the counter guy was calling me to let me know that they couldn't fulfill my request as ordered. This is like 10 minutes before I was to pick it up! The food itself wasn't very hood either. Greasy chicken, sides weren't very tasty, turnovers were not fulfilled as ordered. Just passing through, absolutely the worst and direst restaurant I have seen. The employee rolled eyes when my wide wanted her gravy on the side. Tables are dirty and sticky the floors haven't been cleaned in a while either. Manager was mad he was still working?? Ordered a bucket of mixed. At the window received a bucket of slimy all dark swimming in grease, tasted old. So disgusting I threw it out.

This place has horrible service not people friendly at all. We came up to the drive through because the lobby was closed. We ordered for our team that consists of 35 people and you'd think we asked them to change the color of the shy. Did I mention that I called the day before to verify that they could accommodate us and they said yes no problem. The upside is the the main manager just so happen to come in and he rectified the situation. Hats off to the manager he treats good! read more

We waited in line for roughly 10 minutes at the drive thru and when ready to order the girl working the drive thru said "Sorry for the inconvenience we're closed" and immediately turned the lights off. I do not understand this branch of KFC. I go there at 7pm. The speaker box is managed by a young lady who is chatting via hot mic with another employee in spanish. No big deal until she tells me there is no pot pies and a half an hour wait. I ask about grilled thighs and they are out. I tell them I need to call the person I am picking up for, I get a second order and wait five minutes at the speaker box listening to a conversation. I headed inside where it was warm but filthy. The man at the counter (Josiah) was very courteous and helpful told me there were pot pies in two minutes and the thighs I was asking for. He got everything square for me then proceeded to be the only way person I saw working inside the restaurant. The rest of the staff were chatting hanging out and not much more. Josiah even cleaned the dining room and after mopping did a fine job of cleaning himself up. Sadly the food was not great and honestly I am glad I am not the one who had to pay or have anything more than a single thigh. read more

I had never been to this KFC before. Like most people (I would assume), when I want fast food chicken, I go to the Chick-fil-A down the street. But my son really wanted to try the new Cheetos chicken sandwich. I told him if he worked really hard at basketball practice - and I assured him I would be checking with his coach - I would take him there for lunch today. He did, so we went to KFC at 10:35, right after practice. The sign says they open at 10:30 but the doors were locked. You could smell the frying chicken but no one was inside. So we did another errand and came back at 10:50. Still locked. Several other customers - er, make that potential customers - were standing around looking inside. Still no one around. So we left. KFC has been giving their customers the middle finger for years. And customer service in Santa Fe is notoriously bad. When you combine the two, not surprisingly, you get a restaurant that won't even open on time. I'll never return. read more

The chicken was delicious, but I have to convey my disappointment in the quality of condiments. I asked for butter and jelly for my biscuit. All they had were packets of artificial butter (margarine) and something called "Honey Sauce" which is predominantly corn syrup. I arrived at the drive up at 11:20 am and no one answers the speaker, I park and walk in and 3 employees ignore me, I am the only customer in the entire place and no one is at the drive up. Finally a lady comes up to me to take my order and I tell her no one is answering the drive up and maybe they need to see if its working, she rudely tells me its working. She takes my order and seems like I am interrupting her day. We stopped at the Cerrillos Rd. KFC about 5PM on a Wednesday. I ordered a $5.00 box containing the Chicken Sandwich and fries. My wife ordered a different $5.00 box. We were the only customers in the store. We were in a hurry to get home and watch the NASCAR Truck series at the Eldorado Speeway. That's in Ohio, not NM. The wait for food was longer than expected for a restaurant with no other customers. Being in a hurry we took the food and headed home. BIG MISTAKE____ BIG HUGE!!!. Upon opening the box at home I was horrified to find the chicken in the sandwich to be the color of a dog turd and there were sparse remnants of the breading hanging on to the dried out piece of chicken. The commercials and the photos in the store, show an 1 1/2" thick chicken patty all golden brown and totally covered in lush amounts of breading. This was not the one I carried home. In the bottom of the box were the french fries that were hours old. They were supposed to be thick and these were dried out and no more than 1/8th of an inch thick. They were almost impossible to masticate and swallow. Needless to say will will not be ordering chicken from this KFC ever again. A one star review is too good for this KFC. If there was a half or no star option I would have used it! I hope the franchise owner reads all the one star reviews this location has garnered. Better yet I hope KFC corporate reads all the 1 star reviews and either yanks the franchise or closes the store. We have tried the Church's Fried Chicken on St Francis and their chicken is just average. NOTE TO POPEYE'S CHICKEN. It might behoove you to open a couple of stores in Santa Fe, NM. I like KFC but this location seems to have an owner who clearly doesn't pay any attention to the way the business runs . Extremely slow service .On the last visit the Pepsi was flat so I told the employee and said hold on then he turned and asked the manager came back and said that how it comes out . Then I said what about dispenser on your side of the counter and he answered it comes out fine. I said well then fill it up I'm like wow I waited for 45 mins for a 10 piece meal and it came out yucky under cooked .
