Steak and ribs. Seasoned rice.
Roger P.

I met the family here for a special dinner. My first impression was that it was extremely loud and overstimulating. The place was also very packed and busy. Our server was great and answered all our questions and struck up conversation whenever it was initiated. Cocktails were delicious. Add ons were offered to the meal (such as mushrooms and onion on my steak). Even though they were forgotten, he rushed quickly to fix it and bring them out to me. Everyone in our party seemed to enjoy their meal, except my daughter who complained that her steak was too fatty. Would come back again, but probably at a quieter, less busy time as the noise and amount of people can be overwhelming.

Decibel reading and peaked 83

Food was good as always. Waitress wasn't very attentive. Luckily we aren't super needy . Ambiance was the worst the noise was 83 decibels . The music was way too loud and then everyone was trying to compete with the music just to hold a conversation. My father tried adjusting his hearing aids and the ambient noise filter still didn't work for him. So if you want to come enjoy the food here , I'd recommend ear plugs . No ioke . We even had to point to the menu to the waitress to order .

They now offer a Veteran discount and have improved their service. I thank you for this.

The ribs were perfect, tender with a little cheese. Just wished we ordered an extra muffin because they're cheap and delicious. Second night I had a salad with salmon. Loved that they asked how I wanted the salmon cooked. It was prepared perfectly. Our server, Marissa, was amazing, frequently checking in on us, and even arranging a free dessert. If I lived in Santa Fe I'd need to buy a new wardrobe. The vibe was bustling, I liked that the booth tables were slightly elevated; solid bbq joint atmosphere.

We had two large parties sitting on both sides of us, so it was a bit noisy but not too loud to where we could still hear each other. I did notice one couple asked to be reseated onto the patio. Started off with their apple - walnut salad - delicious. Then the flat iron steak which had to be one of the most flavorful and tender flat iron steaks I've ever tasted. We also had the ranch salad with a skewer of the brown butter bbq shrimp. Would love to know how they made the brown butter bbq sauce, so good I could drink it. Our food was delicious. The service could have been better. We were never checked on and we had to track down our server to get out check. Literally did not see her for about 15 minutes. Truly thought she may have been on break. I do remember her name, but she could have been super busy. There are so many great restaurants in Santa Fe, but if you're looking for a casual dinner this is the place.

Today, politicians and government staff dined around us in the bar, chatting away about local issues. We made a reservation though it wasn't entirely necessary with the bar 80% full. Friendly attentive service was experienced by everyone there. We were first-timers but felt welcome. The dark wood and green furniture seemed suited. A pleasant place for lunch. Ordered soup (creamy green chile), a wedge salad, and the Tuesday special meatloaf that came with mash potatoes, steamed veggies, the most wonderful dark gravy, and warm bread. It was all great! The star of the show was actually the gravy, so full of flavor. The wedge was fresh and crisp with maybe a couple too many ingredients for my taste. The soup was "creamy" by title but not as creamy as I expected, and that's actually good. Wonderful flavor. The potatoes were really good too. Portions. Price. Everything met or exceeded expectations. We will certainly be back, probably for lunch again. One last thing: we had a couple leftovers and, I'm surprised I'm saying this, but it was packed up extraordinarily well. Meatloaf in one carton, potatoes in another, a small cup of extra gravy in a separate container. I mean who does that? So considerate. Great attention to detail. Highly recommended. Next time I'm going to save some room for dessert, for sure.

One of my clients loves the Bullring, and that is OK with me. It ensures i am able to enjoy the ambiance at least once a year. The service is very good. The food quality is also very good. So, why four stars instead of five? I blame that on the Pittsburgh Sear... a fun request that traps in the juices and results in a serving of amazing goodness. It is difficult. I am not sure if my order was misinterpreted or not relayed but the filet, which was delicious, lacked the sear ‍ I will try again on a future visit... maybe this time next year?

I started with what I thought was going to be a plain Caesar salad, but when it arrived, it was served like a sushi or lettuce wrap. It was very creative and tasty! It made it much more fun to eat than the average salad. It was rich and topped with anchovies, like a true Caesar salad. I then had the peppercorn Elk tenderloin. I asked it be served as the chef recommended, which is medium rare. I am sometimes wary of medium rare, but this tenderloin was DIVINE! It was so moist and bursting with flavor. I loved it. The cocktails were creative and just as enjoyable as the meal. Other options for dinner apps include: cornbread, ahi crudo, mussels, and bison carpaccio. Mains: scallops, pan roasted Branzino, toasted masa gnocchi, grilled Maine lobster tails, duck leg confit, and a pecan coffee rubbed prime flat iron. I'm sure all of them would be amazing. Reservations recommended. Please note that the rooftop bar does not take reservations and is not on the same system as the restaurant. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.
