**I recommend making a reservation*** This is one of the "must visit" restaurants when in Santa Fe! The food and cocktails were amazing, however, the server could refine her skills just a bit. I requested bread and butter and it was never brought to our table. Her assistant was attentive and friendly. We were seated out on the patio and had a great time for lunch. This was our first visit and we left very satisfied! Did I say (write) that the margaritas were amazing?! Would go back to try dinner.

I came with my girlfriend for our anniversary dinner during our spring break trip to santa fe. We had a very nice time at the Bull Ring and would recommend it. I had the ribs and they were some of the best I've ever had, very tender. Our server was very attentive and made the experience nice. As college students, we weren't spending as much money as other tables - yet we were given just as good service. I really appreciated that and it's not something I see often. Our server remembered I mentioned our anniversary and gave us a free dessert. I didn't catch his name, but he was mid 20s. It had a nice interior, and was very busy when we ate there. One of the better dining experiences I've had recently.

No point in going as its like a typical Del Friscos you can get anywhere. Food was good and ambiance is predictable. Good for a business dinner.

Everything is more expensive in Santa Fe, and I know this when I go out to eat there. Even so can somebody please tell me what's the market, and what's the price? These are the questions I really want to ask when I see this on a menu. Especially when an 8oz petite filet runs $48 bucks, and everything here is a la carte. I had a salad and a bowl of green chili (which was good) but I couldn't bring myself to order anything more after deciding that my wallet just couldn't handle the abuse. I can certainly afford a fine meal if I want, but unless I am celebrating becoming recently divorced I can't justify it. Three people, and one with just a salad and a bowl of chili ran the bill to well up over two hundred smackaroos. If you are wanting a good meal but don't care about impressing people by being seen coming out of this fine establishment, I would suggest any of the other options of fine food at more reasonable prices available in town.

Disappointed with my experience here. Nothing was awful but nothing was great. Our service was definitely off the night we went- under and over cooked steaks, bland food, different items brought out at weird times... the service and food here was that of a mid-cheap establishment and not fine dining. The only thing I thought was done perfectly was the loaded baked potato. And it was very good but considering the rest of our experience it wouldn't be enough to make me go back again.

    New York... very delicious!

I'm start by saying that when you walk in you get the feeling of near fine dinning. You almost want to feel dressed up. You have a warm welcome from the host and all the servers are smiling. Then your server comes and offers you and answers every question you have about the drinks. They ask if you have any.ore questions and take your drink order. As you look through the menu you realize that the prices are really high. You order get your food and boom... thats when you realize that the price is the way it is cause the food service and everything is amazing. We had on issue and the guy that came and dropped our food off spilled some dressing on jacket. The manager came over not much longer and extended is apology and got mom a key lime of pie for her birthday. The server also took it to the back and washed it. I would give this place more stars if I could amazing!!!

Used utensils sat on our table the entire meal.

This was the last time for us. It was without a doubt one of the worst dining experiences any of us had ever had not only in Santa Fe but anywhere else. The service was shameful. A steak was forgotten from the order consequently there was no dining together at our table. The lyonnaise potatos had no flavor. The shrimp cocktail tasted old and toxic. The salads were split when they were not requested to be split. The used utensils sat on our table the entire time during the meal. The waiter never came back to ask about the quality of the food. This was the last time we will dine at the Bull Ring. There were only 5 other occupied tables in the entire restaurant. There's no way that this restaurant has won best steak in Santa Fe the last several years. This was obviously paid for.

The restaurant is in a downtown area with street parking. It's kinda tucked within a building but the GPS got us close and they had signs guiding us to the place. The inside is really nice and clean. It has an upscale look and I'm sure you could dress up and come here or dress casually and still fit in. They are known for steaks and they are in the $40-55 range. No sides are included and they have large sides that can be ordered for $10-20. Desserts are $10-15. The salads seem to be the best deal at $25 and huge portions. All the food was pretty good. Overall, it's pricey but good quality.

Ask the Community - The Bull Ring

Do they allow wine brought in? If so, is there a corkage fee?

No, there is no such thing in the state of New Mexico... it's illegal. I wish!

A Christmas Letter to the Owner of Rio Chama:…read more Dear Owner, Merry Christmas! Thank you for providing the worst Christmas Eve dinner my family has ever experienced. I'll get right to the point so the rest of our night is no longer wasted by your horrible restaurant. First of all, the gap between giving us water and asking what drinks we'd like was at least 20 mins. The gap between ordering drinks and receiving them was at least 25 minutes. That's over a 45 minute wait!! Not to mention, when my stepfather asked about the Manhattan, the server said she didn't know anything about it. (We'd soon find out your "chefs" don't know anything about cooking). While we're on the subject of servers, we had four of them. Not sure if one was supposed to be a primary server or if we were deliberately given a rotating cast of uncaring people off the street who had the demeanor of someone about to receive a colonoscopy. Hey Owner- maybe when charging 4 people $360 for 4 bloody slabs of unseasoned meat (despite 3 people requesting medium-well), the least you could do is provide ONE server. Also- we noticed you raised your prices an extra $25 per plate for your Christmas meal. Thanks. I won't feel bad at all when you close your doors permanently. My family deserved better. The city of Santa Fe deserves better. You deserve bankruptcy. Seasons Greetings, Our Extremely Disappointed Family PS The au jus sauce had no flavor whatsoever. Why even include it? PSS Are your mashed potatoes served cold year round or was this exclusive to the Christmas menu? PSSS Happy new year!

I started with what I thought was going to be a plain Caesar salad, but when it arrived, it was served like a sushi or lettuce wrap. It was very creative and tasty! It made it much more fun to eat than the average salad. It was rich and topped with anchovies, like a true Caesar salad. I then had the peppercorn Elk tenderloin. I asked it be served as the chef recommended, which is medium rare. I am sometimes wary of medium rare, but this tenderloin was DIVINE! It was so moist and bursting with flavor. I loved it. The cocktails were creative and just as enjoyable as the meal. Other options for dinner apps include: cornbread, ahi crudo, mussels, and bison carpaccio. Mains: scallops, pan roasted Branzino, toasted masa gnocchi, grilled Maine lobster tails, duck leg confit, and a pecan coffee rubbed prime flat iron. I'm sure all of them would be amazing.
