My family and I visited the KFC Sanford location this past Saturday, August 6, 2022, around 1:40pm. The store manager was very unprofessional, yelling at the front line staff, telling them to leave the restaurant, appearing totally out-of-control!! I praised the cashiers up front for their professionalism, and extended my ongoing prayers for their ability to find better working conditions. Front line staff maintained a professional demeanor although, the manager ran around from the rear of the store the the lobby, where he was conducting an interview with a potential employee, as if he was under some type of drug or experiencing a mental health crisis. According to another patron, this type of atmosphere is common place at this location. I instructed my two young children to take a seat and remain calm. In today's climate, with all of the uncertainties, this is not a good feeling when attempting to enjoy a simple meal out!!! Terrible. If you have a fetish for being ignored and waiting for no reason this is the place for you. We stood for almost 15 minutes in the dining room being completely ignored by the staff so we left and got in the drive thru line. Waited almost as long before they took our order and they were out of most items. Its not as if there was a long line inside or outside. Came to pick up DoorDash order, staff made us wait outside since they closed the dining room at 9:00pm. (It was 8:40) The lobby also reeked of clapped ass cheeks. Waited outside for almost 30 minutes when we finally received the food, but they forgot half a gallon of tea. I walked in 8/25/25 told the employee I was wanting original recipe 2 legs and a breast. I walked out checked the box and It was crispy. I don't mind crispy but every time I order KFC for my mother you all screw up. It's simple enough instructions. Ever since the buffet was removed this place has went down hill. I guess you all figured people don't want to wait 15mins for a fresh batch of chicken to be cooked you all just give us whatever. You the employees could at least ask the customers would they like to wait instead of just giving them whatever that has been made. Everything about this place just screams old people. First of all if there was a option I would have put 0, 1 you could barely hear the person asking for you order. 2 after I paid he asked me to pull up which I had to do last time, after about 15 minutes the person behind got there order, now I only got three famous bowls and three drinks, after about another 10 passed my dad went in to ask what was going on they asked him for the receipt which they didn't give us, so he asked for a refund, we ended up get our food looking wonky , but they gave us four drinks but I only ordered three. Very slow, Cold food, Smashed food, Missing food, bad attitudes. I came thru the drive thru at 3:33pm today at the Sanford NC location on Horner Blvd. I ordered a chicken pot pie, a 12 count nugget, a large mash and gravy and a large mac and cheese. My order was over 23.00's and I was told it would be about 5 minutes on the nuggets, and could I please pull forward to the door and my order would be brought right out. At 3:49 I drove back thru the drive thru as there was noone in line and no customers in the store. I knocked on the drive thru window to get the attention of a young male in the store. (Not the person who took my order or I paid) that was a young black female. I handed him my receipt as I had not been given anything on the receipt and he walked away, the young lady who took my order and I paid point and he put a bag inside of a plastic bag and handed it to me. I asked to speak with the manager (A white female with red hair named Alexis/Alexa she wasnt speaking clearly when I asked her name) I advised her of the situation and she had nothing to say, not an apology, not an explanation. I advised her that this was disappointing as I had been there three times in the last five days. *I work till 7pm, and I went to this location Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of the last week, after 7pm to get a chicken pot pie (I'm 7 months pregnant- weird craving) and had been told each time that they didn't have any. I called the location to inquire after the third visit as to when they would have them and I was told they don't make them after 5 because they take about 30 minutes to make) So when I got home today with my purchase I was very upset to see that my large mash and gravy, and mac and cheese had been put on top of my pot pie and it was crushed and all over the bottom of the container. And the 12 piece nugget that I waited almost 30 minutes on well it was apparently forgotten and that's why I waited almost 30 minutes because they were over cooked to the point of being hard and uneatable. I still have my receipt, and would love to speak to someone in reference to this. However I believe calling right now would be fruitless as Alexis/ Alexa advised she was the manager at this time. read more

Had to ask for help even though 7 different employees were moving around. Ordering was an adventure as I don't believe person taking our order spoke English. 10 minutes pass and handed an order that was total s***bag. Order was chicken little combo and Big box combo. She spent 10 mins looking through receipts on the computer to find my order bc I was never given a receipt just so she could tell me what was rang up when I ordered. regardless of what was rang up my order was incorrect and should of just been a simple fix. however after sitting on the phone listening to the beeps of her looking for our receipt for 10 mins I told her not to worry about it I would feed it to my pig. Ordered an expensive order online. Sat at the drive thru for quite a while just to be told at the speaker "you have to park and come inside to pick up online orders". Went and parked and went and walked inside and was immediately told "You need a mask" so I went back outside to my car and got it (simply had forgot to put it on) went back in stood around waiting for someone to come to the counter to help me while they kept just looking over at me. Then the employees had to discuss to each other "did you make that online order?" "No you are on the front you need to do it" when it should have been ready to go! And then the guy looked upset that he had to be the one to do it and he moved around so slowly. And then the very same gloves that he was wearing to make change touching money he actually grabbed my chicken tenders with them (unbelievable & disgusting!) (What is there no tongs to handle bare food??) and he was throwing them down into the bucket on the counter below. Brought the bag and set it on his side of the wide counter to make me have to reach across for it and I asked "are my four dipping sauces in there that come with it and I'd like all 4 honey mustard" he didn't say anything back but went and picked out 3 only and put them in the bag. I had paid separately for a half gallon of tea and he didn't give it to me I asked "where's my half gallon of tea I ordered?" So he went to a fridge got it out and set it on his side of the counter. No napkins no plastic wear... didn't even speak to me or say anything. And then he just walked away. I am the one that said "thanks" even after the crappy zero star worthy service I got! I will Never go there again to spend my hard earned money. Everything was bad about this encounter there! When I got back to work I told and warned everyone that the guy used his same money handling contaminated gloves to touch all the chicken tenders to put them in my bucket so no one would even eat them after knowing that. I've never been compelled to write a review until now. This KFC location is the only one within 45 minutes of me. This location got a lot of money out of me because the mashed potatoes are literally my pregnancy craving. This location can never get my order right, so I always know to check before I leave the location. However, today is the last time I will ever order at this location. Right off the bat I see that nobody is getting their order taken at the drive through, and then observed the manger (assuming) come yell at the two cooks that were smoking in a car in the parking lot to get inside because there were customers waiting. I get to take my order and drive up to the window to pay. This young lady at the drive through didn't say a SINGLE word to me. Not how much $$ it was when she took my card, not hello, not thank you, nothing. She gave me the biggest stink face I have ever seen. I had never even seen this lady before! I got my food and it was all wrong, but I didn't even get it fixed because I'm already frustrated. They forgot my biscuits, gave me the wrong side, and the mac and cheese was cold.
