I think you might be able to eat inside, but I am not sure; never tried it. My favorite item on the menu is a barbecue sandwiches with slaw and onions. Sometimes I also get some of their home cooked fries prepared just the way I love them. They also have a seafood platter that I really love. They give me so much food that I always have leftovers for another meal at home. They also have fabulous Brunswick Stew that I get sometimes as well. Hotdogs, hamburgers are also on the menues, but who can resist that barbecue sandwich? Check out their menu for many more options.

Even tho we planned to arrive well before the band would start playing to have dinner, we were lucky to find a parking place, let alone a table. The interior inside is really lovely. The staff is terrific and the food was very good. I had the pastrami Ruben with the tomato & cucumber salad. Both were very tasty. My spouse had a BLT and a salad which she enjoyed. For dessert we shared the butter toffee bundt cake that has a caramel glaze and is topped with a small scoop of local ice cream. It was absolutely incredible!! We wanted to order another, it was so good! If we're in the area sometime I'd like to stop in for lunch and that mouth watering bundt cake. I would hesitate to come back in the evening, only because as the night went on there were some patrons so drunk that the atmosphere started feeling really amped up in a concerning way, like a fight was about to break out at any moment. It's not a big place inside so it could quickly get out of hand. I can say when something like that happens anywhere, it's not a situation to find yourself in as an innocent bystander. Had it not been for that element it would have been a really enjoyable night out, but alcohol and aholes don't mix well together. I'm still going to rate it high for the delicious food, friendly and attentive service, the beautiful interior, and the great music.

Stopped in around 2 with my husband after realizing we were headed in the wrong direction across…read moreNorth Carolina and needed a quick lunch. Found this place on Yelp and went with it. Seat yourself setup, but plenty of seating available. Our server, Madison, was at the table in under a minute with menus, and food came out in less than 12 minutes. She was efficient and attentive without making us feel rushed. This is a gastropub, meaning a casual bar-style restaurant that puts more focus on food quality than a typical bar menu. The space reflects that. Mix of standard tables with chairs, booths, and a small lounge area with cushioned chairs and a sofa. He ordered the Reuben, I had the pulled pork with collards. Prices were reasonable at $12 for the pork and $13.50 for the Reuben, each with one side. We both wanted the cucumber tomato salad, but they were out. The pulled pork came with a red, vinegar-leaning sauce. Not sweet and not strictly Lexington style, more of a house take on North Carolina barbecue. Still flavorful and satisfying. The collards were good with small bits of bacon that added flavor without overpowering. The Reuben was decent, but the toasted brioche bun stood out. Good texture and held everything together the way it should. The pasta side was fine, nothing memorable. Total bill came to $27.26. We both stuck with water, which keeps things simple and keeps the cost down. Overall, a solid stop for a quick, easy lunch. Nothing over the top, but everything came together the way it should. Must order: Pulled pork with collards Heads up: Sides may run out, have a backup in mind

Brisket cooked poorly, cut wrong and no trimming of the fat cap.

I was super impressed by everything about the brewery and so wish it was closer to me so we could hang out there all the time. The place was absolutely beautiful. I loved their wooden beer signs and their outdoor tables. The space was huge and a great place for fun events. I loved their telephone booth selfie booth! They had food trucks on site and a great outdoor space. I really loved seeing so many dogs there! The event itself was absolutely incredible!! It was so cool seeing people dressed in full armor! I loved seeing the birds too. There were people dressed in costume who sent us on a bit of a scavenger hunt. We so enjoyed meeting the different costumed actors and being sent around to look for specific characters! A lot of thought and planning went into this event and we so appreciate the experience. Their beers were AMAZING!! We tried three different beers and loved them all. My favorite was the Spice Ghouls. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their beers. All of the staff members we interacted with were super nice. They were all working so hard to make the beer lines move fast. I love the cups! They had people pay $1 for the cup and then use it for each beer. I love that because it cut back on waste! I'm looking forward to next year. I literally read the name of my selection off the menu board several times, and at least twice pointed out to them what I wanted on the menu board directly behind them, yet twice the guy insisted they had no such selection. Only after he confirmed with his fellow employees what I wanted would he accept my order. Jerk. What I picked: jumbo tender and barbecue plate (wish I'd taken a photo of the menu board). The order was slow to arrive, though I found out that's because the tenders were being freshly made. And the plate contained an impressive amount of food when it arrived. The barbecue wasn't bad, the chicken was indeed hot, and the slaw and potato salads were nice additions. I didn't care much for the hush puppies as they didn't seem very flavorful and were too dry. One of the other staff members was kind enough to fill my drink cup several times as I worked my way through the plate. That evening, and during the following morning, my stomach did not handle the meal well at all. I hadn't noticed any off-putting flavors in the food, but clearly something did not sit well with my digestive tract. So between the early issues with the service and the frequent bathroom visits I made in the hours following my trip to Smithfield's, I'm afraid I've gotta suggest that you look elsewhere if you are in search of a good experience in the Aberdeen/Southern Pines area. If you decide to take a chance here, I hope your fortunes are better than mine were!

I ordered the fried platter combination of three oysters, sea scallops, and deviled crab. They also give you onion rings. My husband ordered the clam strips. We also got a baked potato. The devil crab flavor is good, but I can't taste any crab in it. The scallops were cooked a little too long and not in a flavor in those or in the clam strips. I wish they would've seasoned that a little bit better. The oysters came out very good. I paid $27 and I got six oysters, six scallops and one deviled crab, four onion rings and one baked potato, and the salad on the side I had to pay an extra two dollars for the salad. I would probably come back here and just order the oysters just because I like the atmosphere and I thought the oysters were good, but only if I was in the area. I rated it at three because of the flavoring in the seafood, but the service and the restaurant itself is a five.
