Hoops pizza has been in Pittsboro for some time. But, cannot believe that my wife and I have never eaten there. So, we went for lunch it was a cold winter day, so pizza sounded like an excellent choice. We ordered a vegetarian pizza and added Canadian bacon. We love all the vegetables on the pizza but needed a protein. The crust was great, tasty and done to perfect it was well worth the effort to good. We ordered the cinnamon dough balls and cannoli for dessert. Dessert was tasty and the cannoli was made fresh that day. We will return for more Hoops. I forgot we brought a lemon bar to take home, it was awesome. read more

We got a variety of pizzas and the owner was kind enough to bring it to the house. They have gluten free pizza and are very accommodating for someone with a gluten intolerance. We ordered 3 delivery pizzas on a Saturday evening. They were diverted promptly and tasted fantastic. The crusts were everything the other reviews said: chewy, tasty, nice crisp with a bit of char, and not under-done. The ingredients on each pizza (triple double pepperoni, full court press, margherita - all Neapolitan style) were fresh and abundant. The pepperoni in particular wasn't skimped on! The only thing I would have appreciated would have been is if someone had texted to let us know they delivered the pizza. We do have a sign out front that says don't knock or ring the doorbell so they left the pizza on a chair on the front porch, but we didn't know it was there for almost 10 minutes. Otherwise, Grade A stuff from this place!!! (Also, we were so hungry & they were so good that we were plowing through all three pizzas before I thought to stop & take pictures!) What a nice addition to Pittsboro! Nice, helpful, knowledgeable employees! Beer and wine now with a great selection of regional beer and a cider on tap along with wines and Prosecco on tap. We split the autumn pear salad, which was amazing, and the 3 point shot pizza. The pizza is good quality and delicious. However the real star for me was that autumn pear salad. Relatively small new pizza place in Pittsboro. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable. The place is very nice and clean. I went with a group and everyone liked their food. I ordered a Neapolitan Margherita pizza which which according to the menu comes with sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil. But it came with one slice of cherry tomato on each slice of pizza that hadn't been cooked so I just had to take it off. The pizza tasted good. I will probably be back to try them again. Next time I think I'll check out the Hawaiian pizza. read more

Based on the price we thought we were getting a large pizza, but turned out to be medium/small with lots of crust and skimpy toppings. The pizza itself was about $20, what we're used to paying for a large everywhere else. The online ordering process forces you to tip, the minimum being 15%. Not sure what I was tipping for since I picked it up and the person just handed it to me. On the plus side, the ingredients were mostly fresh, and it was tasty. read more
