Ordered a tender meal. Got my drink and food, but no sides were in there. Had to reverse back to the window to bring it up and was told I didn't order a meal. I said you just gave me the drink from my meal. She goes and hands me a mashed potato, saying they didn't hear the side (so I guess not putting any side in there is better than asking me to repeat my side). No biscuit put in there either. Didn't give a receipt as well, so I don't know what they even charged me (that ones on me for not inquiring though and my bank account shows it was roughly the price of the meal). KFC just released their new fried chicken sandwich, and I wanted to give it a shot. The food was ok, but the service was super slow. Maybe they're understaffed? Came around midday on a Sunday and there was one other person in line. After the cashier took his order, he just left without communicating that he'd take mine next. Ended up waiting another 5-10 minutes before another woman noticed me and took my order. It also seemed like their card reader was malfunctioning. I had a gift card and it wasn't able to use it since the card reader wouldn't read it. She advised me to call customer service. Customer service verified that the gift card was valid, and they told me to ask the cashier to input the number manually, which the cashier said she didn't know how to. Ended up using a credit card with a chip. Got a Chicken Sandwich and the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo, which came with the sandwich, drink and Secret Recipe fries. The spicy had a kick, but wasn't too overwhelming. Seemed like the chicken wasn't seasoned and the sauce held all the spice. It was way better than the original though. The piece of chicken I got was sizable so they don't skimp out. The fries were honestly the best part. For $6.99, it's pretty affordable and will fill you up. Here's a food service that's been around for literally years but based on the customer reviews you'd think they opened the doors yesterday. I can say I've never been a fan of this restaurant chain, not that the product is inferior, but I've never cared for the amount breading on the pieces. There seems to be more breading than actual chicken. I also take exception to the ad fliers that come out regularly in my mail. There's plenty of coupon offers for large meals I.e., 16 pc., 20 pc, 12pc, meals and very few for single individuals. For instance, a recent coupon ad having 16 promotional purchase offers only 4 were dedicated to individual buyers. First of all, know that I generally LOVE KFC food, a lot. But this location is terrible. I walked in about two weeks ago. First, the men's bathroom was a mess. It was dirty, one soap dispenser was broken, the other, empty. I tried the hand sanitizer in the dining room, it was empty as well. The people behind the counter acted like they were mad that I was there. They were just mean. I accepted my order and went to sit in the dining room. While it was about 1pm, there was only one other person in the dining room (I guess most other people in the area already learned that this location is now terrible). I looked for a place to sit; at least 50% of the tables were nasty. They had not been cleaned, visible food and food smear marks on the tables. The restaurant was practically empty of business; clearly the employees had nothing to do, but no one was going to bother cleaning. I choked down my food. Flash forward to tonight, two weeks later. I ordered from Uber, from the same location. Again, I love KFC food, so I guess I'm a glutton for punishment to actually order from this dirty location - but, well, I did. Now, let me say, the Uber driver was quick. The food arrived FAST. But the chicken sandwich I ordered tasted like shoe leather. Tasted like it was cooked yesterday and left on the counter. I realize the people who work there now probably don't care what I, or any other customer thinks. But it used to be better. I remember a year ago, I used to pull through that drive through and a woman would say, "welcome to MY KFC." Like she was proud of her service - and the order was correct, hot and delicious. We visited the Kentucky Fried Chicken location at 9300 Midlothian Turnpike on Saturday evening 6/8/2019 at 5:50PM. We had an extremely pleasant surprise. The placed our order with an well spoken and pleasant gentleman and were greeted at the pickup window by the same gregarious young man. Our order was ready immediately. It was well prepared and piping hot. What a difference since our last visit two weeks ago. The young man thanked us for our order and wished us a pleasant evening. The difference from two weeks ago is like the difference between night and day. I truly hope that this a sign of a huge permanent improvement in the way they are doing business. Well done KFC. I went here today for dinner and tried to order grilled chicken, but they did not have any. The manager said that the oven was not working. So then, I ordered the $5 fill up with chicken strips and Cole slaw. The chicken strips were only like warm. This is the second time within the last week or two that they did not have grilled chicken. Horrible! I went through the drive through and the guy taking my order kept trying to rush me. I ordered the Strip Bucket Meal. $20.99 which included 12 strips, 2 sides, 4 biscuits, 4 sauces. First: he only gave me an option for one side. Then once I confirmed that it came with 2 sides he started getting huffy with me. He told me to drive around and he would 'take care of me'. On the third of March 2018 at 4:36 pm. I stopped by the drive-thru at KFC on 9300 MIdlothian TPK, Richmond, VA. My order was simple. A meal, with a drink, with no ice. When I came around to pay at the window the manager was getting the drink as I paid the cashier. I was handed a drink with lots of ice. I felt the ice in the cup and I said " I asked for a drink with no ice". From behind the cashier, the manager, Gary, said in a rude and bullying tone, " You don't have to be so mean about it!" From there it went downhill fast. I mentioned to the cashier, this was they type of customer service that doesn't get repeat customers, and that it was also the type of attitude people complain about. I let the cashier know, that I should let your customer service people know how the manager treats the customers. The manager heard my complaint and said in a loud voice from about ten feet away, "I don't care who you complain to!!" I went inside and asked for the district manager's phone or phone to put in a complaint. I was told they had no numbers, or customer service numbers I could call. I don't understand how someone like this manager could be in charge of a newly remodeled store. Is there no selection process? Of course I finally got in touch with the district manager who told me there was a new person responsible for the region. I called the new person Greg Miller and he apologized and said he would be taking care of my complaint. I wait, and wait. (it won't be soon, as KFC did not bother to get my contact information.) This attitude from a customer facing retail employee is not acceptable in any circumstance. This store manager's outburst is not nothing I have seen before. I do believe this manager, Gary, has been emboldened by not being held accountable in the past. You don't give this sub-par in such an outward and entitled fashion unless you have lots of practice and are used to doing it to other customers. Could this be the reason this store is always empty?
