I stopped into this KFC about a month ago when I was on the way to eat town visiting friends with my wife. We standby for a quick bite to eat KFC and it was OK it was about what you expect from KFC sometimes It's a hit sometimes it's a mess that was the middle this time it was just a belt like in the middle. I grew up a much bigger fan of Popeyes since I have family from Louisiana, but KFC has a different taste that I enjoy from time to time. I give 3 stars because the prices are much higher than they should be. I could take my family to Cracker Barrel for the price of a bucket of chicken. read more

We gave this KFC 2 tries. The 1st time we went, it was about 6pm, we were told they didn't have any chicken. The second time, as we drove up we could see, through the drive window, the guy on his cell phone. It was again 6pm. We asked for all dark and he said, "no, we're not doing that". I have to admit that there once was a time when I hardly knew a thing about the Commonwealth of Kentucky other than that it's the home of KFC. So when I came here, my first thought was going to the nearest KFC restaurant to try their fried chicken where it all started. It just so turns out that this store is the only KFC in the entire Fort Knox-Radcliff area. I came to this restaurant on a morning when the ground was all covered with snow. There were hardly any people there, and I can only imagine that the inclement weather was the cause of the slow business. Nevertheless, the cashier was in quite a cheerful mood and said my order would be coming up in just a moment. And sure enough, my four-piece meal was ready in only about the minute of time that it took for them to put everything together. Radcliff fried chicken is truly delicious, but it's terribly salty, oily, and greasy. I mean it's good, but so bad at the same time. I ordered a four-piece meal for $8.99, and I made sure all the pieces were original and with dark meat. They were all very good, but a little soggy after sitting in the heater for so long and soaking up all that grease. Seriously, I saw a puddle of grease gathered at the bottom of the box when I was done eating. I tilted the box around and watched the puddle roll around the box. Not a good sign when you know that's exactly what your food had been sitting in. Still, I can't deny that the fried chicken here is yummy. It's just that it had obviously been simmering in a ton of its own grease for so long, and I can't give them a higher rating for that reason. The two sides that I also got, the potato wedges and macaroni and cheese, were only okay. The potato wedges had the similar problem of being overly salty, and the macaroni and cheese tasted like they had probably been frozen and just come out of a microwave. But the nice people here did offer me a ten percent military discount, so it's not like I can complain about a whole lot going wrong here. read more

This is the worst KFC ever!!! I have been to the drive thru 5 times and they are always out of dark meat chicken. If I could put zero stars I would. I've always loved KFC but the Radcliff location is garbage. Every time I go there the wait time is ridiculous, food is cold; this past week I attempted going there twice and both times they were out of everything (including sides!) except for original chicken. My husband chose KFC to feed students in a class he was hosting at our home. He ordered a 20 piece meal and selected 5 sides, called it in, and was told it would take 45 minutes to prepare. This seemed excessive to me, but he went with it. Upon arriving at the appointed time, not only was it not ready, they had NO RECORD of his order. He waited while they prepared it and upon arriving back home we discovered that three of the sides were incorrect. One would assume that any restaurant would have the basics covered: taking an order, fulfilling that order, having the order ready in a timely manner, and having the order be correct. My mother and I went for a late lunch/early dinner after working the garden. We ordered the buffet which includes a drink. We had choice of regular or crispy chicken, slaw or garden salad, sides of mashed potatoes with white or brown gravy, corn, some greens spinach (I think), green beans, pinto beans, beets, and bread pudding and blackberry cobbler, and biscuits. It was all good and filling with refills. The chicken could have been more fresh off the fryer, but we didn't ask like a few other customers did. This is the WORST KFC I have ordered from. I've tried to get food from this location twice. The first time they said they were out of crispy chicken (not sure how a KFC runs out of crispy chicken but ok). The lady said it would be a 20-30 min wait for the chicken. I thought, np, they just had an issue that day. So I left. The second time I tried to get food there it wasn't busy AT ALL, the workers were arguing, other customers had been waiting for their hot wings 20 mins. I have been to a lot of KFC's across the country and this is probably the worst one. 25 minute wait for service and there was only one guy ahead of me and he was waiting when I walked in. Drive thru was backed up. I walked over to the buffet and looked at the depleted food or what was left and decided to do a carry out order. Only one guy up front working. He did acknowledge us once but it took him forever to come back. One lady walked up and started doing something at the register but then left. Silly me: I thought she was going to wait on us. Finally got my order and went back to the motel room to eat. One piece of chicken had so much fat and grease on it, I just threw it away. I am surprised that this place is still in business. The soldiers from Fort Knox must keep them in business. No wonder they only have one KFC in Radcliff. If there was two, this one would be closed. read more
