I came here to try out one of their famous bowls. When I arrived, it looked like they were having some company meeting in the dining area. Service was pretty fast. The KFC bowl is a warm bowl filled with small piece of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and a small amount of corn and cheese. The meal was average.

I go to a KFC, maybe once a year. One of the things that is great about KFC is that it really tastes the same no matter where in the country I have tried it. Preperation is what differs from location to location. Dark meat chicken was moist. The breading was crispy. I could really taste the famous eleven herbs and spices. White meat chicken was not nearly as good. While the white meat is what I usually prefer, this was dry and stringy. Breading on the white meat was soggy. I get the feeling the white meat had been sitting for a bit. Like any KFC, all food is constantly being made throughout the day. This means orders are generally filled quickly. Counter service and a drive-thru. Getting fresh food is really a matter of luck. Maybe a matter of knowing someone who works there??? I prefer to get the chicken and then make my own sides. Ambiance is fairly standard for a KFC. There are the nods to the original Kentucky Fried Chicken locations in the dining area. There is signage indicating the latest promotion.

Trash on the floor in front of the drink station.

The food was hot, but the restaurant dining room and parking lot needed attention; Yhe service was a little slow; It took a few minutes before myself and another guest were acknowledged.

Because this was the first time we've eaten here, I ordered the mild tenders and let me tell you, the rub they use was so delicious! My husband cooks for a living and he can be pretty picky when it comes to chicken, but he loved it just as much as I did. I also think it's pretty awesome they offer vegan options. It's gives us a new place to take our vegan relatives when they visit. The only thing that would have made it better would be if they offered other soda options than Stubborn Soda. I know it's supposed to more natural and healthier, but we just don't prefer it. We will definitely be trying this again and will be exploring the other tender flavors.

On my first visit, the clerk recommended going with medium if you like spicy. I am very much a fan of capsicum drop kicking me in the mouth and awakening my nasal passage. I went with the "Hot" and it was just right for me. Anything spicier would be uncomfortable. I had the Vegan Hot Chicken with the slaw on the side. I have written off the chicken sandwich a long time ago and this representation has me thinking about when I'll have this sandwich again! The lobby was very clean and spacious. The drink station has many choices. I just wished they offered brewed ice tea.

On the way home, it felt like a sneakybird dinner. The staff is always pleasant and today was no different. Aleah welcomed me as I walked in. It makes a difference. It was a slow afternoon since it was well before dinner. If you have not experienced sneakybird, this is your encouragement. Today I got 2 8-piece wings with tater tots. One with the garlic butter Parmesan rub and both tossed in teriyaki sauce. Of course, my order was all flats. I also order a side of Sneaky Slaw to try. The spice isn't for me but I added a "secret" ingredient and enjoyed my dinner. The decor is bright and inviting. The music is at a decent level. The restroom is always clean. We went with the ranch, sweet Thai, and Gold BBQ sauces, and they were all excellent. The tots were extra crispy, just how we like them. The only downside (and it's not the restaurant's fault) is that the patio seating is very dimly lit. Better lighting would make a big difference.

They noticed that I had accidentally overpaid and came to me to issue a refund, without me even realizing it! They still made my exact same meal with no issues at all. Tried Fly Bye on Camelback and I'll just say it: this was a classic "great deal, a couple tweaks…read moreaway from greatness" situation. I called in my order at 11:20am and got quoted 25-30 minutes for the lunch special. It was ready right around that window, which immediately put me in a good mood because nothing ruins lunch faster than staring at a pickup counter like it owes you money. The guy behind the counter was friendly and even tossed in a sample of 'copy cane' sauce for me to try on my sandwich. I ordered the lunch special (pepperoni pizza slice + Caesar salad, no drink) and added the chicken sandwich with fries. (Fries were only $1 add on!) Starting with the chicken, flavor was solid. Chicken was seasoned and the hoagie was legit. But the lettuce comes ranch-tossed like it's training for a swimming event. It tastes good but if you wait too long to eat it, the bread starts turning into a sponge and the sandwich becomes more "salad in loaf form." The Cane's-clone sauce was 100% needed--once I added it, everything clicked. Now the fries were cooked well done, crispy, and exactly the texture I like. They were just a touch dry, so ketchup wasn't a suggestion--it was a requirement. With ketchup, they're great. The real value winner was the pizza + ceasar. The slice is big and absolutely worth the $10 on size alone. Also: A+ pepperoni choice. They use those small cupping pepperonis (Grimaldi's style) instead of the big greasy ones, and I respect that decision deeply. Only downside: the center was slightly undercooked--that gooey middle happened on a few bites, and I'm not a "wet pizza" person. The salad was fresh and the dressing had great flavor and depth, the croutons felt home made and the whole situation, even portion size, was enjoyable. Would I come back? Yeah. I'd give it another shot because the bones are good and the price is right. Next time I'm ordering the sandwich no tomato and no ranch-tossed lettuce, so I can control the sauce per bite instead of letting it control me. Also worth noting: I signed up for their rewards program and got $10 off, bringing my total to $15--which made this whole lunch feel like a small financial victory with gas at $5 a gallon!

Hi Yelpers, Ok, fyi,…read moreI can't really give a review on the taste of the food because there were factors that influenced our first time experience with bad chick, you ready? The line-up of chicken sandwiches looked incredible. They caught my eye and so I immediately made plans to eat at this new place! It was Friday night, we invited friends, new restaurant on the west side, mingling, etc! You get the vibes. When we got there it was at The Coop Bar on the crossroads of Peoria & 83rd. The only person who we saw helping customers was the bartender, no servers, food busser, host, etc. The bartender was very pleasant and had a great attitude despite the fact that she had to do everything! She explained, the kitchen is new (The Bad Chick) but you can only order online and pick-up. You can have a "dining experience" but there isn't a lot of places to sit inside, everything is for a bar experience, and going outside in the patio is worse. The patio did not look like it was ready to receive customers apart form their beer pong table that was set-up. Plus, I felt bad eating there because there was only one person doing everything but she really had a great attitude, she also said she'd help the kitchen bring out the food. On top of all this, when we looked at the menu online they only had 2-3 chicken sandwiches available to order not the whole line-up they had been advertising. That did upset me. Overall, @The Bad Chick did not prepare for their customers. I'm hoping this will change and one day I can go back and try their food.
