So I have this nostalgic search for something to replace the buffalo chicken burger with fries and the most delicious, thick ranch dip, that I used to get at Denny's on University Avenue in Riverside while I was at college in the late 1990s. I haven't found an exact replacement but today I found a 95% match. I got the sandwich and tots which came with a large piece of tender chicken breast that was grilled and blackened on the outside sitting between a thick slice of tomato and several pickles, and two large burger buns. We got the sneaky sauce and the ranch on the side. I poured the sneaky sauce and ranch onto my sandwich as I ate it and had flashbacks to the Denny's buffalo chicken burger. Very delicious and filling. The tots are also very tasty and crisp on the outside while soft in the center. Btw, they have sweet potato tots too. All this and an affordable price. They also have happy hour food deals. Hubs ordered some wings to try out and said these were pretty good as well; tender inside but they could be a little more crispy on the outside. He really loved his sandwich and tots as well, and commented on how good the tots were. We ordered a flatbread chicken pizza to try, but were so full after our sandwiches and tots that we took that home for leftovers or for our son to devour. It is protein packed, so no guilt about the carbs and comfort food. They also serve chickie nugs here which I crave sometimes as a comfort food. Glad to know this place exists and will definitely be back. To-go containers and sauce lids, as well as condiments and utensils located by the beverage fountain if you don't finish and you need to pack up your leftovers to go.

I ordered the lunch special (pepperoni pizza slice + Caesar salad, no drink) and added the chicken sandwich with fries. (Fries were only $1 add on!) Starting with the chicken, flavor was solid. Chicken was seasoned and the hoagie was legit. But the lettuce comes ranch-tossed like it's training for a swimming event. It tastes good but if you wait too long to eat it, the bread starts turning into a sponge and the sandwich becomes more "salad in loaf form." The Cane's-clone sauce was 100% needed--once I added it, everything clicked. Now the fries were cooked well done, crispy, and exactly the texture I like.
