Ok, I wrote and posted a review like two weeks ago, once again yelp seems to have lost it. I don't understand why this happens so often. Hey, yelp folks are you reading this? Why do my reviews keep disappearing? First, it seemed like our server was working alone, not safe for her and she was running ragged. Five stars to her for all her efforts. The drive-through mic/speaker system did don't work despite being fairly new so we pulled forward to pick up our order from the window. We had placed our order online and were to pick it up at 7 PM, we arrived at exactly 7:10 PM and when we asked for our order we learned it had not even been started yet. Please pull around to the front and the cook/window worker/counter staff person will bring it out to us. Around 7:30 (not 30 min late) she came out to my car, out of breath, disheveled, and frazzled but apologetic indicating one of the items we had ordered, now over an hour ago had not been started because it would take five minutes to make. Do you still want it? Yes. She runs back in to get that started but gives us the chicken bucket part of our order). 15 minutes later (didn't she say five minutes) she comes back out with what feels like an empty bag, again apologizes, and runs back in trying to help the next people. About this time another employee shows up and shouts "Sorry I'm late but I had better things to do" as he walks in the door. It's now been two+ hours since we ordered, everything is now cold and despite ordering what seemed like a small order of a meal for 3 people our bill was over 60 bucks! We could get better fried chicken at a dozen other restaurants in town, pay less for the meal, and certainly get served far faster. Sorry Yum Brands and KFC but you've lost us as customers. Talk about terrible service! I ordered the 12 piece chicken tender meal to go and when we got home those tenders were dry and hard like they've been sitting under the heat lamp all day. My meal came with no biscuits and the sides were disappointing. A freakin' dollop of mac and cheese in a small side container, which fed a child and not a family of three. Also ordered mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of corn, but the staff mixed it up into one bowl. Not cool. Wasted $38.04 for sub par food. Place was far from clean too! Tables were not cleaned and the floors were greasy! With the amount of staff I saw in there, cleanliness shouldn't have been a problem. Now the next time I want chicken, I'll drive across town for Pizza Ranch! So disappointed. read more

I had a very bad time with the KFC in Joplin Mo. Wrong food was given, could not make them understand i didn't want 3 coleslaw, I wanted 1, and 1 man n cheese, 1 mashed potatoe. I called corporate, they understood, said we'll that's unfortunate....and did not offer a resolution. The food is not that good, not worth the hassle. Always enjoy the KFC....and really some of your best tasting fried chicken. My only complaint....is how small the pieces usually are. KFC put fried chicken on the map. They really should do a better job with the size of their Chicken pieces. read more

Horrible! On September 16, 2025 I attempted to place an order from inside. There was an female employee sitting at a table in the dining room. No customers. One woman employee was at the counter. I didn't see any kitchen staff. I was trying to place an order from their app. I had found the promotion and wanted to order it. The counter person didn't know anything about the special, their promotions or the app promotion. The employee in the dining room expressed ignorance regarding the information, as well. She said that if the woman working the register couldn't find it, then the promotion must have expired. It was very frustrating to find that neither employee cared enough to know about their promotions or to look it up. They were taking the easy way out. So, I left and won't EVER go back. This was my second attempt at the location. The first time I tried that location was last week. Same location. Different employees. There was 1 woman working the register AND the drive thru. There was 1 man in the kitchen. It took FOREVER to get the order. Now, after doing some research on that location it's to find that they have horrible reviews. So, I'm not the first dissatisfied customer. They lack qualified, eager, interested, caring staff. It's obvious they are there ONLY to collect a paycheck. Satisfying customers is NOT a high priority. Next time I will check out the Webb City, MO location. When I left KFC I drove over to Popeye's and placed an order successfully, to finally leave with food. To sum it up.... Don't bother with the KFC on 7th Street in Joplin, MO. read more

Ordered 5 pc chicken nugget, I could barely eat them, nuggets were tuff and hard you could tell they had been in warmer for a long time. I was very disappointed as I love eating there but here lately since iv been ordering nuggets they are far from fresh, there were only 2 1/2 nuggets out of 5 that I could actually eat and bit into and even those were hard to chew but managed. Plz do better, u have good food but tuff and hard chicken rather its noon or 9 pm is a waste of money. If you go there in the evening time u can exspect to have tuff hard nuggets! This is probably the worst ran fast food restaurant I have ever been to. I have been there 3 times and each time something was messed up. First time I ordered a 4 piece white meal. Received 3 pieces of dark meat. 3 not 4 pieces so they screwed up twice. Next time I ordered the nugget meal with mashed potatoes and gravy. Simple. Not for this KFC, I got cold, nasty fries instead of the potatoes. Third time, they forgot the biscuit. For some reason thought I'd give them another try. Walked in and head a guy say he had been waiting for over 20 minutes for his order. Turned around and walked out. Will never be back to this location again. read more

Spent 10 minutes in the drive thru before someone came to take my order. We got our order taken finally. It was a big order. And they forgot half the food and still charged us anyway. This KFC sucks. Do not come here. The service is horrible and the employees are lousy and forgetful. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

We arrived at 11 am. We walk into a filthy dining room, dirty tables and service was poor. The guy in the kitchen is heard hacking up a lung, in the kitchen!!! He's sick and was coughing all over. The food was obviously overs. None of our food was edible. We had to throw it away. read more
