This restaurant is our home restaurant. We actually love Texas Roadhouse, but the handful of times we have eaten here, we have been so disappointed. Last night takes the cake. We had put our name on the online waitlist (which we love). We were seated immediately when we got to the restaurant. It took at least 10 minutes for someone to come over to our table to take our drink orders. We ordered our food, and at least 15 mins later the server came back to our table and said, "Oh yeah, I keep meaning to tell you we are out of our 12 oz prime rib." So my husband and I had to quickly order something else. I ordered the 6 oz filet medium rare, and my husband got the filet and ribs combo, also medium rare. We waited another 40 minutes for our food to come. Our 5 year old actually waited for it well, but my husband and I couldn't figure out what was taking so long. When we finally got our meal, our steaks were not medium rare. However, we did not send them back, because we had already been there an hour and we were hungry. My steak was more like medium well than medium rare. The steaks were not seasoned at all, so they were also bland. My sweet potato was not thoroughly cooked. Honestly, the saving grace was the rolls and the green beans. Luckily, we had a gift card, so we only ended up paying $6 and the tip. Our server was not overly friendly or helpful. We never got refills on our drinks, except my son, and it took at least 20 mins for her to bring it back to him once he asked for a refill. It was a fairly busy night, but we have been on nights that are busier and we've received better food and service. We were definitely disappointed because it was our anniversary, and we thought it would be nice to go to dinner as a family. Maybe we should have gone somewhere quieter anyway. Once seated, we were served quickly. Daughter ordered the mac and cheese and it was awful. Fiancé ordered the filet med well and not butterflied. It was served butterflied and was well. Texas Roadhouse is a most consistent chain restaurant around. No matter what state you dine at one...the end product is consistently excellent. The steaks are really good for a family steakhouse. For starters, the service was very fast. Our food was out extremely quickly. Our server, Bailey, was very professional and friendly. My steak was cooked to perfection, the serving of corn was very good, and the brown sugar on the sweet potato was perfect. My mother also seemed to enjoy her meal. First of all they when we showed up we were told it would be a 30 minute wait, okay that's fine we went back to our vehicle until receiving a text saying our table was ready. We proceeded inside and they told us to take a seat for just one more minute. Once again okay no rush. Next thing you know we are sitting for another 20+. Starving while traveling down I44 through Joplin I Checked Yelp (always check YELP) and saw 2 reviews for steakhouses. 1 was reservation only and the next was Texas Roadhouse. Usually I like to avoid chains but really needed some protein. So Texas Roadhouse it was. Oops it's prom night and teenage boys thought the Roadhouse is a fancy dinner date night choice. So the wait was going to be 40 -60 minutes. We decided to become red carpet fashion reporters and wait in the car for our table ready text. The ladies were gorgeous in their gowns and dashing young boys in suits totally not comfortable wearing were fun to watch. Big shout out to the young man owning it in his cowboy Hat and PBR championship attire. He stole the show for the guys. The wait ended up being 15 minutes until we were seated. Our waitress was top notch even though she was swamped, we needed for nothing. Drinks, rolls and appetizers came right away. I ordered a filet medium plus and hubs order medium rare prime rib. She suggested going medium and rare as the cook was swamped so things were coming out a bit overcooked because of volume. We agreed and everything came out perfectly cooked. Way to be tuned into the kitchen super waitress! The food was the best I've had at a Texas Roadhouse and with the sheer volume of orders my expectations were low but we were pleasantly surprised and impressed. Always reliable, consistent, friendly staff and good food. Great for burgers as much as steak or ribs. We often call in or order online and pick up dinner after we get groceries so we don't have to make dinner. We do this at a number of places and there are several things that I always hate about causal restaurant take-home. Most places put the cold items like salads in the same bags and mixed with the hot items. I hate this. Texas Roadhouse never does this, why is this not obvious to the other steakhouses in town? They have the best sweet and soft dinner rolls that are always hot and fresh. They are great to eat on the way home when you're really hungry! No one else in town can match their dinner rolls! Some places have such bad bread or rolls that we always decline them and through them away if the forget not to give them to us. Not so with the Roadhouse rolls. Somehow they manage to pack the food so things that are supposed to be hot are, things you don't want soggy are not and the cold things are packed in a separate bag. These all seem obvious and it's crazy that the other casual chains in the area can't figure this out. Yes, I'm talking to you Outback Steakhouse, LongHorn, Cheddars, Olive Garden, etc. These places consistently disappoint when using them for take-out. read more

**Beware** Very rude and racist staff and management. Had a large party come in when restaurant wasn't extremely busy. Patiently waited over an hour and was told that due to we wouldn't be able to be seated. When asked if we could be split up we were told "then we would lose those tables". Manager found every excuse not to seat us even tho the party waited patiently for over an hour and saw many parties come and go with Ike we still weren't seated. My experience here was definitely not the best. The staff were good, but I was waiting for 40 minutes and then when they told me the food was ready, I waited another 15. We got our drinks and rolls and appetizer in a timely manner, however, our food took way too long. I would say I waited a good 50 minutes for food, and when it came out it was luke-warm. They also had about 75 birthday celebrations in which every worker had to leave the back. This was unacceptable. We order curbside pickup and it is usually good. The last time, and it really was the last time, it was terrible. The steak was actually burnt and crusty. NOT FIT TO EAT!! The salad was lettuce with 5 tiny tomatoes and a few croutons. If you're out of what you need don't serve it. No cheese, etc. Very disappointed as the salad is usually really good. The baked potato was ok but would have been better with butter. Thank goodness I brought it home to eat. The bread was in a waxed paper. That was the biggest disappointment of all. Ate at the Texas Roadhouse 10-1-23 ! The steak was full of grizzle couldn't eat it ! Horrible ! Spoke to manager she took 8.00 off our bill ! We were charged for a Strip Steak which we did not order and did not get !! She acted like she was put out snd after an argument finally took the bill to 18.75 . Only 2 of us and we did not get ir order strip steaks . We both ordered the 6 oz sirloin . We always purchase gift cards for Christmas & birthday gifts (WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN ) !! Very good Texas Roadhouse franchise! I was absolutely impressed with the quality of the food, of the service, and of the timeliness. It can be an extremely busy place, but the turnover is very good! I would recommend calling ahead for seating if you can! In regards to the food/beverages, extremely great value for the price, especially for the drinks! I get a Ribeye with Bacon/Cheese Fries (also comes with an amazing salad!)! Highly recommend the Fried Pickles as well! I have been to various chains and this is my favorite! If i could give neg stars I would. I came to this restraunt back in febuary on the 21st or so about 8pm. I was coming through to california hit an ice storm stopped in joplin for the night no biggie. I had friends riding with from indiana for the long haul, we decided lets get texas roadhouse we have texas reward bucks we saved up for the trip plus I had cash ample funds for whatever but thought it would be great to use up the 110 in rewards we banked over the year in indiana before moving out. We asked and showed the rewards dollars made sure they excepted them there was no limit on them as well. ordered our meals waited the long wait no problem we were only in town for the night right! Way wrong So food came out 1hr half later steaks nuke warm not done properly since it was close to closing we ate sides were cold fried items ordered were close to burnt again we didnt complain becasue we were on a trip and it is all that mattered. come to end of bill the manager refuses to take the reward bucks acter handing all 110 worth over he then states only 10 bucks can be taken off a meal i said wow really ok then split the check three ways apply 3 rewards one for each check please. The manager refused to split it three ways argueed with me i told him the procedures and how to utilize the rewards since the all three of us were avid visiters in indiana and never in any location were we treated like this. he presumed to say why do i have so much knowledge who am i why am i there. he then asked me if i was auditing his reastraunt like have you lost your mind sir becasue i have knowledge on your franchise and you harrasing a customer and also why im to be asked my buissness in town ok Sheriff. Visited on Father's Day this year with my daughter. It was my 1st time going to the restaurant as I previously would frequent Longhorn steakhouse. Well I gotta say that Texas Roadhouse has a new customer for life. Great food, great service, great staff.
