For my entree, I ordered the 8 oz filet medium rare with the brown sugar brussel spouts. I almost always have to season my steak, but this was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Carley was our server and she was the perfect mix of being attentive while also not being at our table too often. Next time I am in town, I'll definitely be stopping by for dinner.

They are closed on Sunday and Monday. Our go to is always the tamales - mom's favorite. On this day I enjoyed a bundle, 3 @ $3.55, and a light splattering chili. Their tamales are more comparable to a Mississippi Delta tamale than the tamale you would eat at a Mexican restaurant. They always ask if you want dill pickles and sliced onions on the side - for an additional charge. Their griddle cooked burgers are good, too. Spaghetti Red is a signature dish that many swear by, has been on the menu forever, and is a Fred & Red's Classic. This dish is a layered plate of spaghetti noodles, topped with tamales and covered with chili. I've never been brave enough to try this favorite but make sure you're hungry! It's a plate full! They serve fries and tater tots, as well as, desserts. Also, the have frozen tamale bundles (of three), chili and other options to go! Check out their Carry Out menu!

Our waitress actually remembered us from our visit eight months ago which was kind of amazing to us. The menu was great and the food is excellent. The beef shank was disappointing as it was sinewy. I'd say it was more soup-like rather than a thicker beef stew. I had a baguette with mine but it was also available with rice or noodles. My wife ordered W1. Yakisoba Of Choice $12.95 (Mì Trứng Xào) with chicken, Stir-fry thin egg noodles, broccoli, bok choy, baby corn, mushrooms and carrot. It was fresh and flavorful.
