Very good! Had one person on the trip who couldn't eat pork or beef so would have liked to have chicken available for them.

I enjoy eating at The Barbecue Joint. They often sell completely out of food, because it is really good, and reasonably priced. I usually buy one of the brown bag lunch specials, but have enjoyed everything I have tried. My main advice is to get there early if you want brisket, because it sells out really fast. read more

I've been to almost every BBQ place in about a 70 mile circle. The BBQ Joint is my favorite! Best around SWMO as far as I'm concerned. Get there early! Call the day before if you need a rack of ribs. It has limited seating but I usually get my BBQ to go. read more

Great joint for barbecue! Their meat is so tender, and flavorful. As soon as I pulled up the smell of smoked meat fills the air. This place lacks a lot of seating so take out is your best bet. And getting here early is a must. The pulled pork, and brisket is by far my favorite, it just melts in your mouth. It is served with bbq sauce but you won't need it. The beans and slaw are a great combo for sides. And the slaw is fresh, and doesn't look all wilted and old like at some places, it could probably be a little more creamy for my taste. Don't let the size of this place keep you from stopping in. Wow! Some of the best BBQ I've had! Brisket was really tender and flavorful. I got the Mac & Cheese as my side and it was great too. They also have a jalapeño sauce up on front counter that is great mixed with their BBQ sauce. Don't miss it! They accept credit cards too. I was pleasantly surprised with this hole in the wall. We got there about 11am when they opened and they were already out of brisket. They started taking phone in orders at 8 apparently. Best barbecue in the 4-States region. Prices are right and servings are ample. Everything fresh made. It's a family folks. They have been cooking for generations. We are fortunate to have them cooking for us in the area. They can do big orders and events, but please call a day or two in advance. Fresh barbecue every morning. Come early. This place has some of the best bbq, at very reasonable prices. They smoke their meat every night, all night. You have to get their during the day, because when they've sold out, they close! In town for a baseball tourney and one of our parents found this place. Being from Texas we were all a bit leery but the BBQ was LEGIT! Had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of baked (not BBQ) beans. The pork was moist with good flavor and the sauce was excellent with a hint of sweet. Same with the baked beans, hint of sweet that was just right. Get there early cause a baseball team will wipe them out - I know we did! Owner suggested that we call ahead next time we were in town so he can be sure to throw extra meat in the smoker. read more
