After spending 6 hrs in the ER on Tuesday evening I decided to grab some food before headed home.. I was going to snag a quesorito and some nacho fries (the staple of Taco Bell). When checking the menu online I was so excited to see KFC has cheese curds, so on impulse I ordered an order of the curds. I pay, get my food and pull around to the lot because I wanted to eat now. I opened my bag and to my surprise the carton on cheese curds had 6 pcs inside. I was like hm maybe they spilled in the bag but nope they did not. $3.29 for 6pc of cheese curds was ridiculous. So I pulled back over to the parking lot and went inside. The young girl came to the counter and I asked her while showing her the contents, this is all the that comes in an order ? And she glances over at the advertisement on the counter and hesitates for a second before she goes uh ya I think so. To my disappointment, I said ok well can I get a refund because I do not want this. This is not worth the price I paid for them. She proceeds to say ya you can come back tomorrow we don't have a manager on shift. (Mind you this was probably 7:30-8 on 1/6). I said the only reason I am in Covington is because I just left the Er. I can't come back tomorrow. I have worked in food service for well over 12 years and never have a worked a shift with no manager and no one authorized to do a refund. I would understand needing a higher up for a $50 refund but for $3.29 is crazy. After I said ok cool, so what's the name of the manager I need to speak to tomorrow !?? the girl in the Dt looks at her and goes here I have my drawer open just give it to her. So they did give me my $3.29 but not after a full run around circle. I was super excited to try the cheese curds, especially because I never typically order from KFC but the opportunity was there. I would also like to mention a separate incident, my husband visited this location probably 3+ weeks ago. He ordered a combo box from the Taco Bell menu and they proceeded to ask him ok what flavor cake do you want? Him thinking it was a part of what he ordered. Just to find out after reviewing the receipt he was charged for the cake that he never asked for but was questioned about while ordering. I seen in a past review someone stated this same issue. To some people $5-6 extra is a lot especially if it wasn't something you actually wanted or ordered. The crew in the evening seems like a bunch of young kids who aren't very aware. I know everything is expensive now days, that's just how it is. But when we are spending money we worked hard for , we expect to get quality food and service. read more

The food is pretty consistent regardless of where you go, however service makes all the difference. I visited the restaurant a little after 5 PM two nights ago. Another patron entered at the same time and we stood in the lobby for almost 5 minutes before someone acknowledge our presence. All of the employees were taking care of drive-through orders. When it was my turn to order, I asked for some thing that was on the menu board. The cashier had to find a more senior team member and together they could not find the item on the POS system. Apparently this item no longer existed on their menu even though it was on the menu board. That's on the store manager and District manager. Find a way to accommodate customers whether they walk in or are at the drive-through. Had I been your mystery shopper doing a QSC inspection this store would have failed from a service standpoint. read more

The staff is very rude. I used to work in customer service/restaurants, and it is important to acknowledge the customer when they enter. If they are busy, it is important to say, "Hello! We'll be with you in just a moment!", and then seek out someone to attend to the customer. They just stare and turn their backs on customers when they come in. I am standing at the order counter at 10:07 on a Saturday. I was told, along with 4 other customers that their system (register) is down and it will be a few more minutes before they can accept payment for an order. No, can I get you something to drink, on the house, for the inconvenience or a way of saying thank you for waiting? Nope. 2 of the waiting customers have now left. I bring this up because exactly one week ago, at this same time, I stopped by. It was 10:05 and the manager, (same person that is dealing poorly with the system failure) was just unlocking the door. He was nice and opened the door for us and said he'd be right with us. So we walked in and went to the counter. A minute later he breezed past the register and told us again he'd be right with us. Another minute later he appeared again and once again said he'd be right with us. 2 minutes later he appeared for the final time. He was taking one order from the drive through while filing another and again said he'd be right with us. What? How much more obvious do they need to be that they don't want my business. I am all for giving establishments a second chance, but this ain't baseball, no 3 strikes. 2 misses and you are out. Update - at 10:20 my wife approached the counter and asked if we could get our drinks and give them an "IOU". After considering it, he agreed. When I received my bucket I thought it seemed small to fit 16 pieces so I counted when I got home and was shorted 6 pieces. I promptly called and asked to speak with a manager (Dean) and was told my options were that I had to return for the chicken but I would be waiting at least 20 minutes for my chicken or return the next day and then hung up on. I went to KFC after having gone to Ezell's and ordering 4 chicken breasts only to get something else. I placed the exact same order at KFC and got: 4 chicken breasts. So, I'm guessing it's not too hard a request to fulfill. KFC isn't great chicken. I don't honestly know what is any more than great coffee.
