The tenders were not at all like the pictures. It says original recipe and shows thick juicy tenders, but I got thin tenders that are dry. Plus Mac & cheese wasn't in bag mashed potatoes were. Surely I've reviewed this before? Well, it has been a long time since I stopped in here. It's handy, but there are so many other more interesting choices nearby. But, with a kid in the car and Sweetie at home wanting a chicken sandwich, choices are more limited. Not much of a line at the drive-through on a Friday at 6pm. Fairly quick service. Mac for the kid- a big side, creamy, good enough. Sweetie liked her sandwich combo. I got a three-piece box (and always think of Southern Culture on the Skids when I get a chicken box.) We stopped in for the $10 for 10 pieces of dark chicken as featured on their sign out front. We went through the drive-thru and were given the option of original, crispy or grilled (didn't know the grilled was brought back). We requested a mix of original and grilled, but when we went to pick up we discovered it was all original. We ordered on door dash and we only live 7 minutes from the place. Ordered 3 chicken sandwich, 2orders of wings mash potatoes and coleslaw. It was so inedible I couldn't believe it for living so close. The wings were cold, the sandwiches were cold and both had a discoloration like they had been sitting since dinner. I called them and they were absolutely NO HELP! I wouldn't go to that store again if I was dying of starvation. By far the WORST FOOD I've ever received ina delivery. Literally the worst restaurant. I went through and ordered my meal and remember my roommate wanted some tenders who when I got to the window I asked the guy, who is the manager!!!! If I can add a 3pc tenders and with the rudest way possible he says "ahhhh I can't do that" so I told him I can go back around but to give me my card so it doesn't have to be ran twice. I worked fir kfc for over 5 years in management I know you can save an order and just pull up the next one, but he tried to swipe my card and I had to tell him 2 more times to give me my card back and I left. Last time i went through they forgot stuff out my bag and when I tried calling they would answer and hang up. This LOCATION is the absolute worst! The workers are rude. And don't seem like they ever want to be there and can't seem to do their job. I went there not long ago and ordered original recipe chicken. The woman wasn't happy about it. But didn't even give me the right chicken. She gave me chicken tenders.... but then when I asked for my correct order she stated they were out of their original recipe. But was going to just give me tenders without telling me.... Now I just went to try one more time to get original recipe chicken. They said they were out again? Do you even have the original recipe anymore? Isn't that what you're known for? It was stated it would take 30 minutes to prepare more... I said okay. It would be worth the wait. But when I went back they said they didn't make them?!! I bought a 3 piece dinner with 2 extra sides on 6-3-22.I was charged for 2 dinners.When I called,the person there said I had to bring a bank statement proving that I was charged twice. I used the drive thru and it sounded like the same person who answered the phone.He told me when I ordered that the machine was not working right.He said he would have to put the info manually. I ordered online at 8:52 so that my order would be ready upon arrival. My roommate was told when she got there that they had no extra crispy chicken. She then cancelled the order. When my roommate got back home I tried calling the restaurant several times to make sure they cancel the charge on my card and no one answered other than a fax. So we went here last night, arrived at 9:30, there were people eating inside, because the lobby isn't supposed to close until 10. We sit in the drive through for about 10 minutes, no movement. No one taking orders. We decide to go inside, the doors are locked. At 9:40, when the lobby doesn't close until 10 and there were customers still inside. This place is terrible. My mom treated me to lunch here today and this location used to be good. First of all, they got my order wrong. And usually the meal I get came with a cookie and 2 sides. They claimed that kfc recently changed the box meals to only have 1 side and no cookie. The chicken I got wasn't crispy. I ordered crispy. The lady gave me a replacement box of only the thigh and leg. Kfcs normal policy is replace the entire meal for free if anything is wrong. Oh and I forgot to add we were completely ignored and stood at the counter waiting to order for at least 10 mins until I said "is anyone going to actually help us?" And a lady walked up and said "oh I'm sorry I just got here" and she had seen us standing there and was on her phone. Then I noticed on the ceiling above the register the vent and the ceiling are covered in black shit. I'm not even kidding. Mold or dust or something. And the food was heinous. Chicken was overcooked, practically broke my tooth on it. We paid extra for cole slaw, it tasted sour like it had gone bad, and the mashed potatoes were ok but barely had any gravy. And to top it all off no one that works there seemed to give a shit that we stood there for 10 mins waiting to be helped twice. And they didn't seem to care our food sucked either. Man, kfc has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid, but it's seriously gone way downhill since the 90s. Food is terrible, restaurant dirty as hell, and the employees literally don't care. Good luck making a special order with the drive-thru. If you want more of a certain type of chicken (legs or wings) and less of another type (thighs), they make you wait because they say it's not cooked yet. If you don't mind waiting half an hour for them to make the chicken, then by all means, go ahead and make a special order. The reason is because they don't have much left over from the lunch rush and need time to prepare the chicken for dinner rush. That's what the manager says is the reason for not having all types of chicken available when its 2:30 pm. Food is tasty but getting it the way you want can be an ordeal. read more

I really think the drive thru buzzer thing might be hit or miss. I watched a guy two cars up sit for 10 minutes. The very second he moved his car to speed off I hear "Can I take your order?" . Absolutely awful!! This restaurant desperately needs new management or better tools to handle even a reasonable dinner volume. The first time I came here a few weeks ago, my family and I came here for the tenders. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, yes, THIRTY minutes, they were out of tenders, and their stock was apparently frozen. After waiting this long, we ordered something else and pulled around to the window. We sat at the window with no acknowledgment for another 10 minutes. When the girl came to the window, she was obviously frustrated and overwhelmed, which was very evident in her attitude when she came to the window. There was no "hello", no smile, no apology for the delay. When she handed my my food, she dropped it into my hands and slammed the window as soon as her hands were clear. We were frustrated, but figured it was a fluke. Surely no restaurant could possibly conduct business this way on a regular basis and remain open. We got home, and our biscuits weren't even cooked all the way through. They were gooey dough! Fluke, right? We decided that we would give this location another try. I got into line tonight at a little after 6:00 pm. There was a line around the front parking lot, but that was to be expected considering the time. I got to the speaker to place my order 20 minutes later, and that was AFTER 3 other cars got tired of waiting and left. Can you imagine the wait time if those cars hadn't pulled away? I got to the speaker and the woman on the other end asks me to wait a moment, she'd be right with me. I think to myself, "ok, understandable, they're busy, it's dinner time". After waiting at the speaker for at very minimum 10 minutes, I said, "hello?" fearful that perhaps she got busy and forgot that I was there. She responded with, "I'm going to need you to wait a minute. We are short staffed tonight, there are literally two of us in here working." I understand being overwhelmed, we all have those days, but there was no "I'm so sorry, we are really struggling. I promise I will be with you as soon as we can. I really appreciate your patience," like one might hope. However, I could tell she was genuinely overwhelmed and frustrated. So I sit there for another 8-10 minutes, and decide I'm done waiting and left. Either management needs to give this store better leadership and the equipment and staff that can accommodate the volume of a restaurant right off of a major thoroughfare to and from downtown, or they need better pay and incentives for people who work there to come into work. Either way, this restaurant is HIGHLY disappointing. I can deal with waiting if the staff is friendly and acknowledges my time just as I would acknowledge theirs. I know not everything runs as smooth as we would like, but when you're waiting in line for 40 minutes... just to be able to order at a "fast food" restaurant. That's unacceptable and absolutely ridiculous. I could have gone to a sit-down restaurant and at least gotten even moderately reasonable service and a luke warm smile from a snobby hostess in 40 minutes (not that all hostesses are snobby, that's not what I'm saying, but we've all encountered that ONE who was) Won't be returning to this restaurant, and it doesn't look like I'm the only one who's experienced this. read more

This is the closest KFC to me since the one in Grandview closed years ago. Usually get a pot pie once or twice a month, love them--except for the one I got today, 4/25/18, about 4pm. I like the fact the pies have a lot of chicken chunks and are not mostly gravy/sauce, but this one had very little chicken and the filling was quite dry, seemed to be mostly carrot and potato. They have a sign at the pick-up window asking you to call the manager if you have a problem but 1] I wasn't expecting a problem and 2]I was focused on paying my bill and getting my food, no pencil & paper handy to write down that number which doesn't seem to be anywhere else. It seems like the only fast food place that's actually fast anymore is McDonald's. This place is no exception. The line is always crazy long. I got here tonight at about 6:50 & got in the ridiculously long drive thru line. Sat there for a while but we were blocking someone from leaving so I had to get out of the line & pull into a parking space & then re-enter. I waited FOREVER & then finally got to the order speaker thing. Dude came on the thing twice & asked me to continue waiting. I was agitated by this point. He finally asked for my order & I was told that they didn't have the only thing I really wanted, & by that time I was ready to scream. I chose something else that I didn't want & continued to wait in line for another 10 minutes at least. I eventually got my food & the guy I dealt with was plenty nice, but what is happening here? Do you need more staff, or more prepared food? I don't get it. I spent 30 minutes just picking up food from KFC. That's insane. At dinner time you should be prepared. Period. Totally unacceptable. Edit: I wrote a review last night after my bad experience but I just wanted to add that they didn't offer to make another pot pie for me after I was told they only had one (my mom & I each wanted one), & not only was I not given any compensation but they didn't even apologize. On multiple occasions when I've had to wait an extra maybe 5 minutes at Starbucks, when I pull up to the window they have always apologized & given me my drinks for free, no questions asked. I don't require free things necessarily because you messed up or I had to wait so long, but I do require acknowledgment that I've waited an absurdly long time & didn't even get the food I wanted. I ordered a two piece Breast and Chicken Wing combo extra combo for $5.99 with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. I did not wait more than a couple of minutes for my order that I got for carryout. I took my order and drove home. There were two errors in my order. I received original chicken vs. extra crispy and received no biscuit. The two sides were fine. No plastic silverware was included.
