Absolutely the best Texas wieners in town, possibly anywhere, and we've been coming here a long time. Diner atmosphere, much better than it was 10 years ago when one of the other reviewers visited (haven't seen anyone swatting at ceiling fans lately). Love the people who work there; an old Scranton mainstay. Order up the two TWs in a basket, along with fries and gravy. Yum! We used to live real close to the keystone and it was a go to cheap diner food place to eat. We moved to Luzerne county and although we don't get there as often, whenever we get to Scranton, we will make it to Keystone. The Reuben sandwich is my favorite! read more

When I want a greasy burger and good atmosphere this is the spot!! This place has been around forever and if eat here you will understand why. It's comfort food. The staff is always the same, and the food is consistently good. Their weiner sauce is amazing!! The place itself is old and not the cleanest but it wouldn't be the same if it was. This is my favorite place to get a Texas Weiner. It is dirty, old, and outdated and you should know that going in. The food though is great and cheap. I also order take out from here whenever I am in Scranton and when they say 20 minutes, it is usually ready in 15. I've never had to wait longer than they said. read more

This review is regarding their Jessup location. I truly do enjoy eating there on a regular basis, and wish that I could give them a 5 star review. The reason I give them 3 though, is they constantly have different people cooking in the kitchen. 1 of the cooks is very good, but the rest of them are ruining the meals that I enjoy getting. This is a shame because like I stated I truly do enjoy this place, but I don't like playing Russian Roulette with my meals. So I would urge the owner to please keep the same cook on a regular schedule so I could change this to 5 stars! read more

Keystone is a hit or miss place. Sometimes the food is good, but sometimes it is pretty bad. It basically depends on who's cooking. The owner tends to make the best food. I almost Always get a bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin when I get breakfast here and it's okay. I like it but it isn't anything super special. In terms of service, I usually get waited on almost immediately after sitting down, but today I had a 15 minute wait! Granted it was a bit crowded, but 4 people were working. I think that their Texas burgers and fries far outweigh their breakfast options (though their chocolate chip pancakes are pretty tasty) Overall, this place is okay for a quick bite, but don't expect anything too fabulous from Keystone. read more

Service has been going down hill for quite some time. Today was the third time my order for taking out was forgotten. The sandwich was made as I waited apology was made which I accepted. Knowing issues I checked my order which was wrong. I came in visibly upset but did not say anything other than it was wrong. Owner was snarky laughed fixed order and said s "sorry I ruined your day" nice guy right? I came home ready to dig in and there were hairs in the sandwich. I felt like I was eating Garbage. Then food was burnt/over cooked. The fries I ordered were suppose to be bacon and cheese covered fries but they weren't at all. When we called to complain the manager cursed at my mother. If you like to eat garbage go there. I ended up throwing the food away. I will never eat or buy anything from there ever again. read more

ten years ago i lived in scranton. my then live-in boyfriend, a scranton native, used to take me here all the time. i love their wieners and fries. the best i've ever had, really. i'd give it 5 stars but the waitress cleaned a ceiling fan over where were were eating once and that was nasty. this was a really long time ago but i'm wondering if it was the same dumbass waitress that the first reviewer is referring to. Food is great! Service sucks, skinny brunette chick is rude and unfriendly. They also give no receipts for your order. You get your total at register. God forbid u wanna add it up yourself. Well several times our party has gotten no receipts and noticed our totals didn't add up according to menu prices. If this happens again were likely pursuing proper restaurant ethics channels. No excuse for customers not receiving their receipts. read more

The window says there is a deal on Texas Hamburgers however if you order the special don't expect the deal. They are now charging $3.25 per burger.... If you call and order the special they don't tell you they don't have it anymore, just expect to pay $32.50 for 10 burgers.... Not cool at all!!! read more

I like this resteraunt. They have fresh cut fries,which i love. They have specials there too. The last time i was there i think i got the two burger special, which was 2 burgers, not really big sized, but ok, and a bunch of fries, it came to like 5.00 or something. Its a good place to go for after the bar. Alot of people like their wieners though. There breakfast food is pretty good, and they give u alot, there is a wait sometime though. Not the cleanest diner in the world. Also, I dont think you can get tap water from this place, i think they made me buy the bottle water. I don't know if anyone from Keystone will actually read this but here goes. We went to Keystone on Saturday around 2:00 p.m. It wasn't too busy. Two people were working behind the counter, one cooking the other, the waitress, who also took phone orders, to go orders from people off the street and also cashed people out. The waitress took our drink orders. I ordered iced tea with lemon. She told me they had no lemon. I said fine. She came back with a lemon tea Snapple. We waited probably 15 minutes for her to come back to take our order. She never came back. In the meantime there was a shift in workers. Two more girls came, one took over for the cook, the other was a waitress. I heard her ask our original waitress if she had waited on us. Our waitress said yes, "isn't their order up there?" I saw the new waitress look for our order, then she came to us and asked if we had been waited on - I told her no. We gave her our order. After that our original waitress came over and apologized. Food was great. We had cheeseburgers and cheese fries. Portions were very generous. No complaints about the food. Then we sat and waited for to go containers and our check. I finally got up and got to go containers, then got ready to go and went to the cash register for our check. I had my credit card out and was told by the waitress "cash only", no sorry we only accept cash, etc. Very cold and rude. Luckily, there was a bank down the street so I went to that for cash, and was charged $3 for the ATM fee since it wasn't my bank. Not a good experience for Keystone. I will not go back. read more
