    Soggy fries..YUK!
    Steve H.

Market Price for wings.....these were the smallest wings I have ever seen. What MKT did these skeleton wings come from? How does one come up with MKT price? Our take-out order was so mixed up. The fries were so soggy they could have been "wrung out". Two orders of MKT price wings and a steak and gravy sandwich...$52.13. Never again!! After the picture, it was straight to the trash.

The tipsy turtle is a bar and restaurant. It is one of the few places that have root beer flavored beer. They are really known for their wings here and they have a lot of different flavors and options to choose from. The wings have a rating system marked by a flame. If the flavor has no heat there will be no flame next to the name of the seasoning. I would say they probably have 45 different types of sauces and 75% of those sauces are spicy or hot. The sauces that have one flame next to them are very mild and basic they go all the way up to five flames and then you have atomic You can go with just the classic wings or you can go for the boneless chop wings. They do have burgers they have brisket they have chicken sandwiches they have a lot of different food options other than wings. Their drink menu is extensive they have a lot of local brews as well as imported. Getting to the tipsy turtle was very interesting you turn off the main drag and you go down this road that it looks like you're headed towards a residential area there's all houses with culdisac it's really interesting and then all of a sudden you hit this restaurant that you could easily pass on the corner. Overall the tipsy turtle is a really nice place I have no complaints about it. The food was good. I would recommend coming here we had a party of 14 people and they were pretty on top of stuff. I would recommend coming here if you're in the area especially if you like wings PROS: - good wings a lot of sauces to choose from - good beer list CONS: -a little tricky to find the tipsy turtle at night

Good good. The turtle bit portions are small. Not even close to a half pound as they are advertised. Owen street burger is a favorite.

Fast forward a few years, and during a recent visit back to the area, I found myself with no plans on New Year's Eve. Thankfully, some old friends knew I'd be a lonesome third wheel, so they graciously invited me to join their dinner plans at Rustic Kitchen. They even had a reservation and managed to sneak me in. On New Year's Eve, no less! That's already a win in my book. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and were promptly seated in a cozy booth--great for catching up and digging into some good food. Rustic Kitchen was offering its regular menu plus a special New Year's Eve menu, which included a surf and turf option for $75. One of my friends splurged on it, but I had my eye on some other options. Since I was driving, I asked if they had non-alcoholic beer, and to my surprise, they had two options! Huge props for that. As we chatted and reminisced, we nibbled on some fresh, fluffy focaccia bread that was dangerously addictive. Then it was time to order, and I started with the Meatballs al Forno. A very generous portion of tender, flavorful meatballs bubbling away in marinara, smothered with melty mozzarella cheese. It was so good I almost forgave my friends for refusing to help me devour them. Almost. Next up was a salad that was on the special menu for the evening. It featured mixed greens, walnuts, blackberries, and a glorious, creamy ball of housemade burrata cheese. It was fresh, delicious, and a perfect segue to the star of the meal: the Spanish Pork Chop. This wasn't just any pork chop--it was a bone-in beauty, cooked to a perfect medium and topped with the chef's mother's secret sauce. The sauce was a mix of bacon, onions, olives, and light tomato flavors that brought everything together. It came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. When dessert time rolled around, we all pretended to be strong-willed and skipped it. Despite it being a holiday, the service was unhurried and impeccable, with each course arriving at just the right pace. Rustic Kitchen was everything I remembered it to be--excellent food, warm atmosphere, and stellar service. It's no wonder this place has stood the test of time as one of the original restaurants at Mohegan Sun. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. And as for the slot machines?

Merry Christmas to All, before you have your Christmas traditional dinners, I want to show you all…read morethe most awesome beef sandwich I have had in a long time, not to mention this is the first time I tried their beef. They have great burgers, cheesesteaks, and even Texas Weiner's, so how was the beef sandwich. This was on a warm bun; it did not taste toasted but definitely warm, they even branded their logo into the top which I have never seen any place do that before. This had a creamy horseradish sauce and loaded with beef and a side of their signature homemade Texas Au Ju. This was by far delicious in every way. The beef itself was tender, juicy, and just out of this world. Now, I decided to try their homemade sweet BBQ sauce on it which I really enjoyed, this combination blew the taste right out of this galaxy, they should add this as a required sauce, hint. I really enjoyed this sandwich. Now I got a side of their fries which were always good, always served nice and hot. I tried their Cole Slaw for something different; I liked it, it was more of a vinegar based the n the usual cream based, it was more on the dry side then wet but it had a real good taste to it. Their chicken noodle soup hit the spot on a colder day, full of chicken, noodles, celery, and it was served nice and hot. I could not have come here without doing some Hot Doggin' NEPA Style with their Texas Weiner. The service was also top notch. Until next time, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! A quick ingredient rundown - marinated tomatoes, roasted garlic, cooper sharp, romano cheese, basil & EVOO - paired with local pizza-making pedigree and you'll agree, it's a must-see...even had time for a half tray of Old Forge Red. Another staple for us is the sesame chicken bites, served on a bed of sesame chili-soaked crispy wontons. We had to add something new to the rotation, so we threw in the loaded nachos. They weren't sloppy and had nooks and crannies where toppings hid so the whole table got several hearty scoops; plus that CHEESE. It's not just the food, either, it's the layout. With plenty of space for several medium to large groups, you still never feel too distant from the action around the bar and on all the screens. The lower ceilings give it that hometown sportsbar feel that the bigger chains can't offer; this is a primetime sports viewing venue. Thorough and friendly service, as well!
