I am stunned by this company. He was here for 10 minutes and stated he could not fix the problem with my water heater. No paperwork was given to me to inform me of the issues with the water heater, nor were solutions given to fix the issue. I had to ask how much full replacement costs. ZERO star, complaint filed to BBB.org charges more than 10x on sediment trap that cost $85 should be $14.66 only. Permit for over $200 that should only be $129 and has a very rude attitude to customer demanding payment. No courtesy and AWFUL code of business conduct. There are other above and beyond pleasant courteous and very polite contractors and plumbers in this area that will treat their clients with excellent customer service. We will notify other social media about this review. Also submit complaint with CFPB, DBO for compliance of their business conduct. POOR conduct no courtesy at all. Home warranty sent them out to fix the garbage disposal. The guy that came said the disposal needed to replaced. Not covered by warranty so he says it will cost $220. Fine, when i mention i will be using a credit card, the guy says it will now be $240. Really $20 to pay with a credit card? When i question this, the guy tells me to find another plumber and leaves. Glad he left because i did call another plumber who pulled a penny out and the disposal works fine. Even with the extra money i had to pay for another service call i still saved a over $100. read more

My toilet issue was assigned to Keyliam, and someone contacted me before the end of the day for an appointment... for the next day! Impressed? I am not done yet. He was early for our appointment, and he waited patiently in his van. Floored? I have more. Normally, they would diagnose, and come back another day to fix what was wrong. This gentleman replaced the part that was malfunctioning, explained what was wrong, and answered a few more questions. This is a very bad company. The owner is a thief. I had an issue with my water heater on 08/22/2020. My home warranty send this company to serve me. The technician came up with on the site price in addition the water heater . The technician made up prices such as my water heater was not done by code. and I have to 850 dollars extra. When I called the owner to dispute the estimate, and informed him that I just bought the house and was not in agreement with his estimate . He started to " F" me and hang up the phone on me. When I called him back, the answer machine came up. I informed Home Shield about the incident. read more

Excellent plumbers! I highly recommend them. My warranty company sent a plumbing service to inspect 1 bathroom when we asked for 2. That terrible plumbing service said major repairs were necessary at a cost of several hundreds of dollars. Because my warranty company erred they sent Keyliam to inspect the other bathroom the next day. They said the water intake valves and floats were bad on both toilets at a cost of less than $100. Came through AHS. First contractor AHS tried to send (Prestige Plumbing) never contacted me nor returned calls and texts for 24 hours, so AHS sent Keyliam. They shoud have sent him first. VJ called within minutes of the order, and came in twenty minutes. Courteous and professional. Replaced the garbage disposal and fixed a faucet leak in under an hour. Highly recommend and will certainly use them again. read more

Had a tech come out via AHS Insurance. Was told he would be here between 10-12p and came at 9:30a. Diagnosed the problem with a pin hole leak in our water heater. 30 minutes he was done. This company was assigned to me by AHS insurance. I placed a claim for service on Saturday and that same afternoon Eager from Keyliam & Sons called to make an appointment with me for Monday morning. I had a number of issues including a leaking water pipe (that required access behind a wall), a kitchen faucet that needed replacement, and 2 other bathroom faucets that needed adjusting. Eager came to service my home and he was extremeley kind and patient. He handled each and every issue one by one and managed to fix ALL issues during his single visit, without having to make any additional trips to pick up parts. So many times other service people seem impatient and give you the feeling that they are more bothered by the job and just want to be done as quickly as possible. I'm thankful for the very pleasant experience I had with Eager and would definitely recommend this company to others. read more

I had an issue with my Water Heater not able to maintain the heat, so I called my Home Warranty American Home Shield (AHS), who assigned a plumbing company (On time plumbing). After having reviewed that plumbing company and all the terrible stories, my anxiety just increased some degrees (unlike my water heater) and started to play all sorts of scenarios in my head preparing for the worst. I took the chance and called AHS again and asked them to assign me another plumber if possible, and I was happy that I did. They instead assigned me "Keyliam & Son", who called me shortly after I had been assigned to them. We agreed to a time window for them to show up the following day and the gentleman they sent showed up early in the window. After taking a minute to explain the situation to him, he knew exactly what was wrong ("ThermoCouple"), and started his work mitigating the diagnosis. It took him approx 15 minutes to fix and everything worked perfectly afterwards. I wish all my encounters with professionals, would be that smooth. I now got hot water again - also the following day! I might even call them again for bigger jobs (outside the Home Warranty) in the future. read more

These guys are good. I had a gas leak in the wall behind my stove. The gas company had dismantled my meter and red tagged it. This company contacted me the very next morning after a message had been left with them that I had no hot water or heat. They came on time and knew what they were doing and did it. They took their time and were thorough but did it in a timely manner. They were pleasant and explained what they had done and reassured me there was no more gas leak and they were correct. The gas company turned everything back on. I would definitely recommend them and have them back again. read more

I have received service from Keyliam and Sons 3 times and each time they came from America Shields. Each time they were on time, professional, and helpful. Mr.Vejay came on Friday as a secondary consultant because he first plumber from On Time Plumbing literally came to turn on my water heater and left. 30 minutes afterwards my heater was off again because my gas valve was broken. On time plumbing didn't even look for anything to diagnose the problem but Mr.Vejay diagnosed the problem and was on the phone with American Shield asking for authorization. He could have left and leave me for another 2-3 days of not having hot water but he was kind and diligent. He took care of my broken water heater right there and then. Another time couple of months also Mr.Iger from their company showed up, I had a leak coming from a wall, he quickly detected what area of the wall the leak was from and saved me from the huge water leak that I had. I would not use this company. American Home Shield sent this company out to give me an estimate for repairing or replacing my leaking water heater. They (Keyliam & Sons) told me I needed to install an expansion tank, new vents, drain pan and discharge line, all of which was according to them required by the city code. I called the city Building and Permit office and they said there was no code requiring all of the items I mentioned above. All of the ancillary items they said were not up to code where in fact up to code. No need to change them. All of the pricing on the items they proposed to change out were marked up some 300 to 600 percent. For instance they tried to charge me $110.00 for an earth quake strap that I can purchase at Home Depot for $17.68. Even if you allow for a 20% mark up on parts and give them 1 hour of labor charge at $30.00 per hour, they are still over charging me at 150%. I hate when contractors try to rip you off. This company needs to reassess how its' doing business and stop trying to rip people off. And learn the codes for each city they work in and stop making up BS. read more
