Lying car salesmen.Bought a used car from them. They agreed to paint the back bumper if I purchased it. I bought it. Noticed a crack in windshield as I drove away. I called them to let them know. They said they would replace the windshield.When I got the car back from their repairs, they refused to give me a receipt for changing rhe windshield. And when I got home I realize why. They replaced it with a Non- OME part. They put a cheap windshield on. And when I examined the paint job their is a chunk of something n the paint and its peeling on the top. Horrible job repairing. Tried to buy used car from Ash, the manager. Discuss the price, had a firm price plus taxes and dock fee. He tagged on two more fees at $1000 each for nitrogen in the tires and a paint and interior protectant. I declined both of those and was told that, regardless of what he had stated to me as a firm price was a lie. His word is worthless, as I expressed to him my frustration at lack of follow through on his moral character. I sent him all the information needed to buy the car and was told I have six other people waiting to buy this car and unless you take the additional $2000 in mandatory up charges, I will sell the car to someone else. We have leased and bought several cars from Keys dealerships. My current Lexus lease is ending and I went to the dealership to exercise the purchase option. While all of the people that I interacted with were friendly and helpful, this was not an acceptable experience. When presented with the buyout summary, it contained a $1950 fee to the dealership in addition to the price in the lease plus State fees. Initially it was implied that this was a processing fee requirement in the lease. After I probed with questions, they admitted that it was not in the lease. Then I was sent to finance and was told the fee would be waived if I would buy a $3000 lease extension. I decided to leave and do some research. As I left, a sales manager followed me into the parking lot and asked why I did not buy the car. I refused to discuss. My research showed that there are better lease extensions than the one Lexus offers. When I called the leasing company, I was shown an easy way to buy the car with no processing fee. That day, I filled out two simple forms and got a cashiers check to buy. The same day, I got a text from the dealer asking when I would come in to buy. They said the $1950 fee had been waived. I pointed out that I had to buy the $3000 warranty extension to get this. I also said that we would not buy or lease from them again. Only then did they text that the fee would be waived with no requirement to buy the warranty. But too late. I already had the cashiers check for the leasing company. While the people were all nice, I feel that they tried to sneak in a substantial fee without candidly informing me of what they were doing. I also feel that the $1950 fee is grossly unreasonable for a service that should have been provided for free to a good repeat customer. It is sneaky tactics like this that give auto sales people their bad reputation. We will try to find a more up front dealer when we trade in my wife's Keys Audi. read more

I assume that Keyes Lexus (and maybe other Keyes dealer) charge $995.00 for "ETCH/THEFT DETERRENT" without informing the customer. I was very disappointed when I reviewed the digital documents (Note: I did not get a hard copy to review after completing the sale. I just got a digital copy of the sales documents in USB Thumbdrive). I got charged for $995 +tax showed as "Optional Theft Deterrent Device(s): ETCH/THEFT DETERRE". This item was never ever mentioned when I was getting the price breakdowns of the different 2021 ES300h models. It wasn't even a device! What's more disgusting is getting charged for $995+ for glass etching. These etching kits can be bought in the open market for as low as $20. Yes, $20 good for 6 applications. I emailed my salesrep about it. He only replied with a note that he endorsed my email to the finance officer. No reply. I sent another email addressing to Gen. Manager Ramin, finance officer Michael and salesman Ider. 2 weeks gone by. No response. Are they just going continue to ignore my email hoping that my complaint and demand to reverse the charge will just go away? I will pursue this case further. For reference, similar cases happened in New York, New Jersey, etc. where the State District Attorney rule it as unlawful and ordered the dealerships refund and to stop such practice. We were lied to and swindled at Keyes Lexus Van Nuys. We went to lease a Lexus UX for my wife at Keyes Lexus. The monthly cost seemed very high but the salesman, Danny Banayan, assured us we were paying the MSRP price of $45,830. We were brought to see John, the financial person, to sign the papers. A computer tablet was placed in front of my wife, and she was instructed how and where to sign. My wife signed on the tablet trusting John and the process. I also signed as instructed. Naturally John tried to sell us on tire insurance and to prepay the required service costs. I was expecting that and rejected them. We were given a flash drive and were told the lease papers were on it. We drove the car home. I was not given the sticker sheet taped to the window which I thought was strange. The next day I discovered that $4,440 in additional costs for three options I did not want were added to the price of the car. I was not told about them nor was there any description of what they were on the pages on the flash drive. I called John, it took a few days to reach him, and asked what the options were. He said Danny should have explained them but would send a new copy of the lease agreement which included the options. The two versions of my lease agreement do not match up. I called Danny and asked for a paper copy of the lease and the car's sticker. He said the person washing the car must have thrown the sticker away. I insisted that a copy was in their computer system, and he eventually texted me a copy. I still have not received an exact copy of our lease. Before posting this review and complaining to the Department of Consumer Affairs and Lexus Corporate, I called the general manager, Ramin Hakakain, and left a message explaining our issue. He called me back Thursday 5/23. I explained my complaint and my almost 40-year business relationship with the Keyes dealerships and 14 years as a customer of Keyes Lexus. I emailed him the two copies of my lease and he wrote me back that he would get back to me the next day. He did not, so I emailed him. He called and apologized and said he would get to me by Monday, 5/27. Again, he did not. Ramin may not have the authority to solve my problem. He should have at least called us. Keyes dealerships were acquired by a large auto conglomerate, Lithia Motors. In my opinion, their sales and service has changed for the worse. I think their employees are under increased pressure to squeeze every cent out of their customers. For those of you who have read this far I recommend that you do not let yourself be rushed. Look carefully at every piece of paper and ask if there are any dealer options added on. My wife could have declined those options if she was looking at paper not a tablet. Make sure you are given a printed copy of your purchase agreement or lease. Do not let the financial person badger you into agreeing to buying any of their insurance especially if you can afford the repairs they are insuring. A good rule of thumb is do not insure anything you can afford to repair or replace. Auto dealers, especially Keyes Lexus, are not looking after your interest and may not have any integrity. read more

I have been looking for a particular car, color and interior color for a while, and I found it at this dealership. I was assisted by a gentleman, who seemed pretty new to the process, but was nonetheless polite and appeared to be playing the role. The car buying process itself was pretty quick. I think I got the right deal for the car, but I now think I may have been rushed. I was asked for my ID a number of times. there was an issue with running my credit, which had not been an issue the previous day, as I had gone to a different dealership the day before and prior days with absolutely no issues. They insisted my credit wasn't coming up. I did not make it an issue, as I know technically issues happen, but this was peculiar. I had to validate my identity, and again asked for my ID for the 10th time. It almost felt like I was being accused of something, again, brushed it off then because I just wanted to get things over with and the deal done with. There was an issue with a lease I had to return, and it felt like I couldn't leave the dealership on my own. Very uncomfortable at this point. Ultimately the deal was done. Again, waited a while for the financing/paperwork guy. When I did see him, again felt like I was being accused of something (identity theft) kept coming up. I have never felt this uncomfortable during the car buying process. There was also a recall on the car that the air bags "may not" deploy. The finance person mentioned that they didn't check it. Even though it's been a recall since 12/2023. There's a service center there? And you don't check??? I really wanted this car, I got it. But now I have to go check it out at an independent mechanic, and hopefully my airbags deploy if I get into an accident. read more

He got my money and sold MY car that i have payed for to someone else, just so he can make more money on it. Worst experience ever, Danny never acknowledged the fact that he was at fault and never offered a solution to resolve a problem.
