PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU LEASE OR BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! This is a warning for anyone planning to purchase or lease a new vehicle here. Check the DOT numbers on your tires before you leave the lot. I wish someone had told me this sooner. I leased a brand new 2024 Lexus, only to later discover that the tires installed on my vehicle were manufactured in 2022--already two years old at the time of delivery. After doing my research, I learned that while 0-24 months is considered acceptable for a new car, tires older than 24 months are NOT standard and should be replaced when brought to the dealership's attention. When I notified Lexus of Van Nuys about this issue, I was told there was nothing they could do--despite industry guidelines and customer service standards saying otherwise. This kind of dismissive response feels dishonest and unprofessional. Please be cautious. Do not assume a "new car" automatically comes with new, current-year tires. Check everything before signing. My lease is ending soon, and because of this experience, I will not be returning or spending my hard-earned money at this dealership again. Overall, We had amazing experience at this Lexus. My mother has always had leases with Lexus and it was time to change her car again. We went to Glendale and Cerritos Lexus and had the most awful experiences. These dealerships have the most predatory and deplorable sales tactics and just customer services overall. They told my mom she had no chance of getting the new GX550. Both locations pushed for her to get a TX and offered a lowball offer for her trade in a 2023 Lexus GX460. I told my mother we should try Van Nuys as I had always been curious to visit. I am so glad we listened to our gut. As soon as we got there we were greeted by Samaneh , Manager of Lexus of Van Nuys and she was so nice and we told her our situation! She immediately got to work and showed us a GX550. This car was amazing to look at. The new GX's are scarce and for them to offer something that exceeded my mother's expectations made us really happy. The biggest thing is that they were able to figure out a good deal better then we can expect. They cared about our previous history of good clients and just respected our good relationship with lexus overall. We got some goodies and some great photos. It was just an incredible interaction. These are some of the words I would use to describe my interaction with Keyes Lexus, especially Moe Shehadeh (salesperson) and Jimmy Amour (sales manager): Dishonest, deceitful, misleading, shady, sneaky, untrustworthy. These employees are the reason why people despise the car buying process and are untrusting. I went against my better judgement (and Keyes terrible reputation) and purchased a used car here with my son. Yep...that was a mistake! It first started with Moe, who assured us on the phone that he would sell the used car we wanted "in the $34,000's". Once at the dealership, he had already reneged on his deal and started negotiating at $35,500 and wasted 45 minutes of my time. Once the deal was agreed upon, it came time for the purchase and contracts. Moe had disappeared and we were passed from one person to the next (total of 4 people). The car was delivered with water spot stains all over the hood and only one key fob. We definitely did not feel like a valued customer. We were told to come back to have the water spots removed and get the additional key fob on Saturday. Well, the water spots were removed, but Moe and Jimmy said they don't have the key. Moe said he would get the key fob to to us, but instead, he did not reply to any calls, voicemails or texts for one week. We called, texted and went to the dealership in person THREE times. Moe and Jimmy's story changed each time we asked about the key. They didn't want to solve the problem, they just wanted to jerk us around. It took 11 days of trying to get the key fob. We just reached out to the GM and was successful in getting the key that should have been delivered once possession of the vehicle took place. You can not trust the dealership. They are not transparent and have no integrity. read more

A very positive experience! Thanks to Internet Directer Fahad Mohammed, and his team. I recently purchased a second Lexus from Keyes, and I walked away feeling very good. This experience was largely positive, because of Fahad's directness and his polite demeanor. I have been shopping around for a month, before I came to Keyes. One other dealership ignored me, and a different dealership basically told me they would not even consider negotiating. Then I stumble on an online ad with Keyes, so I typed in an Internet inquiry. Soon I was corresponding with Fahad, and over a few days we basically negotiated my deal. The vehicle was in transit. Once the vehicle arrived at the dealership, I headed over there to finalize the sale. I got the car my wife and I wanted for the price that Fahad and I had previously discussed. Dishonest and misleading advertising leading to a bait and switch, contemptuous and dismissive behavior, acting as tho I MUST pay their bait and switch price which was literally over 10% over the advertised price, insisting that I accept "accessories" that are not accessories at all but literally almost impossible to enforce "warranties" on the tires and battery....utterly ludicrous and offensive. But the worst how they speak to you and treat you, as tho "how dare you stop us from sticking your hand into our pocket and take whatever we want?" is a reasonable way to behave. If this was the last car dealership on the planet, I would buy a bike. Horrendous people, a great example of why people speak of "used car salesmen" as the worst kind of people, these people personify that expression. read more

My experience here was OK. Not great but ehh... I purchased a vehicle here thats been going great for me... upon purchasing the vehicle I let the sales manager(Arman Chivichyan) know the car was chipped on passenger door panel and front bumper.. we negotiated a price and they offered to repaint the front bumper and buff out/blend in all the chipped parts which great!!! Upon taking the vehicle back they took 3-4 days which is understandable... as im picking up the vehicle I notice on the driver side door panel... they made zero effort buffing this little section out... they also dripped the paint inside the door . Okay so now after seeing this I text the sales manager (Arman Chivichyan) about the situation, he said "everything you and I discussed was handled" yes handled with zero effort... then I mention it to him it was done with zero effort and asking him how long it would take if I were to bring the car back..... completely ignores me I was maybe thinking he's busy but NO till this day he has not gotten back to me at all... not professional whatsoever. read more

I'm updating our previous review of "Not Good" to "Ok" because Keyes Lexus actually took back the car we bought, and refunded our down-payment. Despite being advertised as a "smoke free car", the car was actually full of nicotine odor. The sales guys had tried to sell it to us as if they only just then noticed the problem, when first complained about it, before taking possession. While we waited, and filled out paperwork, they put the car through some kind of 3-hour cleaning, and even then there was a residual smell of nicotine. They assured us that it would fade quickly, so.. we kept the car. The next day, in our garage, it was just as bad as ever: nicotine smell everywhere. We got a local guy to come and fumigate and clean the car, but he warned us that the nicotine had likely permeated the overhead insulation and would be practically impossible to remove the nicotine smell without completely re-furbishing the interior. We contacted Keyes Lexus and got stone-walled, after which we reported this problem in Yelp. Fortunately, the general manager contacted us and after a small bit of discussion, he agreed to take back the car, and refund our down payment. So, good on him for owning the quality of his product. I might possibly do business with Keyes again, but I would check everything before plopping down any money. read more

I came into Keyes Lexus of Van Nuys excited to test drive the new 2025 GX 550. The sales rep who assisted me during the test drive was great courteous and knowledgeable. That's where the good part ends. When it came time to talk numbers, everything changed. I had already shared that I have excellent credit (770+), but they came back with a preliminary 8.49% APR and a monthly payment that made zero sense even with $10K down over a 72-month term. To make matters worse, the advertised price of $72,743 (which I had a screenshot of) was suddenly ballooned to $93K, with a vague explanation about "market value." They tried to make it look like I was getting a "$12K discount," but even that brought the price down only to $84K -- still $11K above what was advertised. I voiced my concern and showed them the online listing, but instead of working with me, they doubled down. The so-called sales manager came out pushing the same "hot SUV" narrative. I wasn't buying it literally. Another manager was brought in to convince me, but at that point, I'd had enough. I got up, told them I wouldn't be paying that kind of markup or rate, and left. To his credit, the manager called later saying he'd personally handle the deal and work on the price and financing. But by then, it was too little, too late. I had already test driven a 2024 Chevy Tahoe High Country at Community Chevrolet of Burbank. Moises there treated me with respect, offered clear pricing, and didn't play games. I walked away with a beautiful Tahoe MSRP $84K I purchased for $79,500 and 6.47% financing with $10K down. Transparent, honest, and smooth. Unfortunately, Keyes Lexus of Van Nuys left me feeling like I was caught in a bait-and-switch trap. No luxury brand should treat a serious buyer this way especially one with excellent credit and cash to put down. I chose American-made and real customer service instead. I reached out to this Lexus dealership about a specific, hard-to-find vehicle I saw listed as "in transit" a week ago. I spoke with a salesperson on the phone who asked me if I am aware of it's rarity and that vehicles like this one would come with a markup and asked if I would be willing to pay it. I acknowledged the vehicle's rarity and possible markup, and asked to be contacted when it arrived so we could discuss pricing in person. A week later, he called to say the vehicle had arrived. Trusting that he remembered the car we discussed, my husband and I drove 40 minutes to the dealership. Upon arrival, we were shown a completely different color than what we had talked about. He seemed confused and tried to pitch the incorrect vehicle instead. When we declined, he handed us off to his sales manager, who had a dismissive attitude and told me, "then it's not the car for you" when I expressed interest in seeing the actual vehicle before committing to a purchase. Between the lack of communication, the unhelpful staff, and the wasted trip, this experience was disappointing and frustrating. Based on other reviews, it seems like this is a pattern at this dealership. I would recommend going elsewhere if you're looking for honesty and attentiveness. read more

I came into the store for a vehicle they listed online at 69K. When they presented the bill of sale, they priced the vehicle at 77K. While I was able to get the online price without too much of a fight, the fact that they nearly charged me a higher price than the online listing leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Buying a car should, fundamentally, be fun and exciting. The fact that I had to use effort to talk the sales and general manager back to the advertised online price speaks volumes about Keyes' views on honesty and their extractive business model which targets consumers. What would have happened if I was a just little less knowledgeable? | feel like I had to do WAY TOO MUCH due diligence in order to simply get the advertised price. As for the Staff WATCH OUT FOR THE GOOD COP BAD COP TACTIC, salesman AB and sales manager Arman Chivichyan were both courteous and respectful, although I believe Arman was responsible for the attempted subterfuge mentioned earlier. Things took a turn for the MUCH WORSE after I entered into negotiations with LASO ABBAS. Laso was unbelievably rude. During heated negotiations regarding my trade in value, Armin and AB remained respectful while Laso Abbas began to get super heated and raise his voice at me. I was firm on my number, which seemed to offend Laso who then began to yell and raise his voice to get the point across. This is NOT how a general sales manager should act. He should have simply accepted with grace OR reject it. I should not and did not want to have to sit through the general sales manager's TANTRUM in order to buy a car. Max, the finance manager, was cold and unincredible . Overall - I advise people to stay away from Keyes Lexus - not only because of their dishonest business practices but also to not encourage the behavior that Lasos Abbas engages in. I contacted this dealership to buy a car they had on the website. The first sales person I spoke to came to conclusions without even asking questions. Her attitude from the start was to battle - actually dissuade a customer from the purchase I then spoke with the Sales Manager - he was less than excited to speak with me. His response "Oh - we are going to wholesale this car it didn't pass inspection". A day later they reduce the price of the car $600 and still advertise it on their website. I call again - I speak with a salesman named Kobe. I ask him for the CARFAX and tell him I would like to place a deposit 5 minutes after I review the report. I text him and say "I'd like to buy the car". No response. I call him on his cell phone and he states "i'm still trying to confirm if its available and Oh -management is not going to ship the car across the country" - not knowing I am buying the car for a nephew in Arizona and was going to fly out to pick up in person. Only reason the 2nd star is there is cause the inexperienced salesman was really nice lol but he does not negotiate well at all.
