The expected up-charges for things I didn't need like an AC filter were of course declined. The new coffee lounge is pretty good. Do your research before buying a car from Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys. I made the mistake of not doing that before I bought my car there. They lied, cheated, and ripped me off with the first car. I tried hard to work out a good deal with them and thought that I had, but once I read over my contract the next day, I saw that I was charged almost $30,000 (once paid off in 4 years) more than what the car was advertised at (on the sticker). I called to cancel the contract and stop them from cashing my down payment check. A manager called me back, and we were able to work out a better deal with a different car. Now, after all that, I found out that my salesperson lied to me about my credit score. He told me that my credit score was 690, which surprised me because I thought it would be higher than that. Well, soon after I discovered that my credit score really is higher, quite a bit higher. I received a confirmation letter in the mail from the company that ran my credit (Experian), with proof that my credit score is really 801, NOT 690. It's disgusting how they can lie and take advantage of people so easily like that. I will never recommend Keyes Lexus to anyone, and I will never do business with Keyes Lexus ever again. read more

I recently went to Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys after seeing a car that I wanted online. I was able to get connected to sales rep Raymond. I don't live anywhere close to Van Nuys and I made Raymond aware of this. He did a great job making sure we could discuss details of my desired car purchase without me having to physically be there. As the process went on, he did all he could with talking to his management team to set up the best date for me to come in. He always replied to my phone calls or text messages. When I did come in he had the car in the front of the building and ready for me to test drive upon my arrival. I ended up purchasing and I didn't have to stay in the dealership for hours on end thanks to the preparation Raymond did beforehand. Thank you! Today I had a 10:30 am appointment to get my car serviced. I arrived at 10:25 and after waiting for my turn to get checked in with my service rep and getting the order for service prepared it was 11:00. I informed them when I made the appt and when I checked in I would be waiting (this was for the shortest recommended oil change service). I was told they running behind but after 3 HOURS I was told they hadn't even started on my car. I told my service rep this was unreasonable and requested they bring my car out and I left....I will never go back there!!!!! read more

My payoff is $68k but my car is only worth about $50k now. A only been a month. I have been to multiple dealerships trying to get out of this deal but have been told by everyone I met that he fucked me over. Lots of reviews here of misleading practices. I live a few hours away from the dealership and was about to close a deal on a pre-owned vehicle. Then I came here and saw all the reviews on pre-owned. First off, they listed the car as "with premium" features. It wasn't until I saw the video and didn't see a sunroof that they admitted that the ad was wrong. Like majorly wrong. But they refused to budge on price. So I started asking questions. I asked 4 times about the shipping and insurance - no response. I asked about the yelp reviews and the answer I got was "I don't know what to say." After asking me about price and confirming everything - the car mysteriously got sold to someone else within the hour. After getting the standard salesman runaround about the vehicle, we decided to go with the x1 at Keyes because of its clean vehicle history, relatively low miles, and newly replaced (or so we were told) break pads and rotors. Cut to 3 months into owning the vehicle and sure enough, break sensors go off!!! We bring the car back to Keyes and ask them what the deal is, and upon inspection they inform us that the break pads are worn to minimums and rotors need to be replaced... at our expense?! The salesperson clearly lied about the break life on the vehicle to make the sale because we had made it clear that this was a deciding factor between this and an identical x1 at another dealer. THESE SALESPEOPLE WILL LIE TO YOUR FACE AND GASLIGHT YOU INTO THINKING YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. Cut to another 2 months later, we are back again because the car keeps overheating. Not only do they want to charge us for the diagnostic when we paid for all the possible warrantees on the vehicle, every time we come in they tell us their "system is malfunctioning" and they "aren't able to pull up the warantees we purchased"?? NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE US FOR A DIAGNOSTIC ON A CAR WE JUST PURCHASED THAT IS ALREADY SHOWING SIGNS OF BEING A LEMON. So I was sold a used Is 300, love how it looks. Right after I bought it I started having issues with the battery and when shifting from park to drive, I would feel a thump and lurch which never happened before. Took it in. They said nothing was wrong. I come to find the 90,000 or 100,000 mile service was never done, and they NEVER MADE ME AWARE. That's simple human decency, "hey I know your buying this new car, the service at a MAJOR service point hasn't been completed so you might wanna do that to make sure you don't run into any issues" that's what any decent human would have said and done, they charged me 250$ every time to say it was fine and I'm basically making it up. Shortly after my carb won't even turn on, and I come to find my fuel pump and my spark plugs are shot, one because they get replaced at 90k and two just age. So I did that repair. A week later my check engine comes on, I go to them to assess, it's my fuel injection, and it's 5500 to fix. Jimmy one of the managers proceeded to tell me it's the law only to inform Me of safety issues and it's NOT REQUIRED THAT THEY TELL ME ABOUT MY CAR NOT BEING SERVICED AND SOLD TO ME AS " A vehicle that's passed Lexus's rigorous inspection process" and has been approved, as well as its not the law to include the information that it has not been serviced on time. JIMMY wasn't helpful at all, he was extremely rude and the definition of why I will NEVER spend my money with Lexus or Toyota EVER AGAIN. I will tell you all family and friends to make sure to steer clear of this nonsense because that's wrong, deceitful, poor taste, everything that's wrong with car sales. JIMMY you did an absolutely great job of making sure I will never spend my money where I'm not valued or appreciated. As well as sold a piece of trash that needs just repairs upon repairs, I hope anyone making the choice to buy a used vehicle makes the right decision and stays FAR Away. THEY ALSO CHARGED ME 15000 over the established price, they showed me one price, know what I was trying to pay/ what range I wanted to be in, and STILL sold the car to me. NONE OF THE ADDITIONAL COST WERE MENTIONED. ever. Not once, I'm getting an attorney to sue these thieves. NEVER BUY A CAR HERE. It's an illegal practice called drip pricing, they claim they stated the price, I know they did not. The MANAGERS ACTUAL RESPONSE WAS " Well I wasn't there so idk what he said" and when I assured him I was not informed, ask the salesman, he said" how is the salesman supposed to remember " "he does hundreds of sales per month". Absolutely ridiculous, they even HAD THE DISCRETION TO TAKE 1000$ off the total and WOULDN'T EVEN DO THAT. Save your time and money, don't get stolen from. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. Samaneh Barzegar promised me a deal over text, told me everything was approved and ready, and assured me that I'd be taken care of once I arrived. When I got there, I was told something completely different. It felt like a bait-and-switch situation -- misleading, dishonest, and frustrating. The staff on the sales floor were rude and unprofessional. John was yelling and raising his voice directly at us, showing zero respect or courtesy. Samaneh was dismissive, unhelpful, and flat-out lied about what she had offered. The entire interaction was hostile and uncomfortable. The only positive experience came from the finance manager, who was kind, patient, and professional. They were the only person who actually showed genuine customer service and made an effort to help. Given the deception, wasted time, and overall treatment, I'm requesting compensation for this awful experience. I'll be filing a complaint with the BBB, contacting Lexus corporate, and leaving detailed reviews online so others know how poorly this dealership treats customers. It's shocking that this kind of behavior is allowed under the Lexus name. This dealership adds on extra fees that have no clear explanation. What's worse, depending on who you talk to, you'll get a completely different answer about the same fee. In our case, there was a $434 charge that made absolutely no sense. The salesperson who assisted us couldn't clearly explain what it was for, and when I mentioned that I work at the DMV, it was obvious her explanation didn't add up. Thankfully, the finance manager was kind enough to remove the charge, but the situation left me disappointed. A dealership should be upfront and transparent, especially when it comes to pricing.
