Dr. Fell is the doctor beyond our dream! My husband and I both chose him as our primary care doctor, after my husband did a thorough reviews reading among all doctors he can find reviews of. Here is time to give back by leaving my review :) We have been seeing him for about 2 years. And he indeed lived up to 5 stars, and even far beyond 5 starts if we have more stars to give! As people have been saying here, he is compassionate and competent at the same time. In a typical visit, by asking curious and caring questions without rushing, he got all aspects of my concerns, and he listened so well and cared so much that sometimes I forgot I was in a doctor's appointment, but feeling more like catching up with an uncle that I have missed for a while. Every time for any issue that we want to learn more, he could cite trustworthy resources readily and we trust that he gave well informed advices. There was a time my husband doesn't feel well in his chest, and concerned about potential heart issue. It was in the evening, like 9 or 10 pm, after ordinary office hour, and he didn't feel too bad to go to ER to check it, but concerning enough for us to consider if he should go to ER. We messaged Dr. Fell on the one medical app, and he called us a few minutes later!!! After asking some questions, he said with comforting tone that it's fine, probably muscle tensions, and my husband doesn't need to go to ER that night. Such a relief! And he saved us a thousand dollar bill. And my husband is indeed fine. We are so grateful and impressed about his confidence and that he cares so much and is willing to go far and beyond to help! We also both received his hypnotherapy, which has been deeply healing and I still draw resources from those sessions after two years. His compassion is so genuine that created a safe space for deep healing. Since Covid started, we left CA. When we have any medical questions, we still consult Dr.Fell with virtual visits. We are not willing to let go of him no matter where we go! And we will unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a doctor that could provide excellent medical advice plus family like kindness and care. read more

Great doctor for listening but did not do a hands on exam for gym injury (2 months on crutches and a year later still problems). Seemed to dismiss it as significant and that I was too concerned? H did give me ideas of what would help and it did. Not so good with older/midlfe women but made definite gestures of listening by turning chair dropping everything and making eye contact - so unusual in this day and age - kind of charming old way of being "seen". 1 star off mostly because of OM where he has set up shop - totally a bad gig (bureaucratic bottom feed clinic) and do you want all your info to be collected into the large Am data cntrs? read more

My rating is based on my following, personal experience. I found Dr. Fell by searching on the Internet and joined One Medical just for him. Called O.M. after joining and made appointment for today, Monday, Dec. 8. On Friday, Dec. 5 late afternoon, just ONE business day before the appt., I get a call from O.M. telling me Dr. Fell's office cancelled my appt. because they do not accept new patients anymore. 1. Why was appt. available and booked if Dr. Fell does not accept new patients anymore? 2. Why notify me end of day on Friday, one business day before the actual appt? 3. Why not having the decency/courtesy to call me directly to let me know? Perhaps Dr. Fell is indeed a good doctor (I did not get a chance to experience), however, given the way HIS office/people handled this matter, makes him a terrible leader. And as we all know, the buck stops with the boss. Disappointing, to say the least. read more

Wow! I have to say Dr. Kevin Fell has exceeded all my speciations and they were pretty high after reading so many wonderful reviews about him. It is as if he was born to be a healer. Dr.Fell is very kind, compassionate, he is thorough and takes the time to actually review my history and then go over things with me in great detail so that I can understand what is happening. He asks all the right questions that lets me know that he is actually here to really provide the best care possible. His energy is so calm and provides a sense of safety. He is absolutely great at his job and has impeccable social skills that some physicians lack. I'm so glad I booked my visit with him. read more

Dr Fell was my primary care doctor for a few years when I lived nearby. He improved quality of my life. I think there were two things that set him apart from many others: - He has superb active listening skill, and he basically uses that as a medical instrument, so he does much better diagnosis than others. Surprisingly many other providers miss out or fail to do that. - He is very pragmatic. Once he identifies a medical condition he uses medication or whatever needed for treatment. This might sound strange to say that this sets a doctor apart, but I had problem with some other providers who didn't provide effective treatment (I guess because they didn't have confidence in a diagnosis or treatment, or were risk averse at the cost of patient, or paid more attention to less-likely treatment side-effects than main outcome). I consistently had much better treatment outcome with Dr Fell. He also has very positive, welcoming, considerate, and open-minded demeanor. read more

I've seen over a dozen doctors and Dr Fell is hands down one of the best listeners. He is compassionate, caring, and really committed to his patients' health. He's open minded, collaborative, and not one of those doctors who will tell you that your symptoms are psychological because they can't explain your health issues. I highly recommend Dr. Fell. I've seen Kevin twice, once for a sinus infection in December and today for neck pain. As others have said, he's very caring and thorough. I was concerned about my neck as I've had pain since Saturday and when I thought it was better yesterday, I woke up this morning in worse pain. He reassured me that I just have a muscle spasm and that I'm doing everything I need to do to take care of it - ibprofeun, muscle relaxants, heat and massage. Hopefully my pain will be gone by the weekend as he predicted. I will definitely see him when my regular doctor isn't available and his availability matches mine. read more

I'm a patient of Dr. Fell's and he's great! I used to see any of the doctors at One Medical (whoever was open for an appointment), but after a couple appointments with Dr. Fell I've made him my designated primary care provider and try to see him most of the time as he is that ellusive combination of being an incredibly smart and competent doctor (UC Berkeley & Mayo Medical School) while also being super friendly and down to earth. Dr Fell is caring and compassionate and has a very nice bedside manner. It doesn't feel like he's rushing through the appointment and he actively listens to and considers all of my concerns. I've seen him for physicals, a hematoma in my leg when I fell down some stairs, and a UTI. He even called me at home when I needed a form filled out for my work and faxed it directly out instead of making me bring a bunch of paperwork in. I was actually shocked at how helpful he was with this, because after trying to deal with UCSF getting paper work filled out and paying fees of $25 per page and having a 14 day wait time to get anything done, this was a wonderful change. Hopefully I won't be needing to see Dr. Fell much because I won't have any upcoming medical issues, but when you are sick you couldn't do much better than getting your care from this physician. I'd gladly recommend him to anyone, especially my Grandmother... which is just about the gold standard when it comes to "Do you like this doctor?" :) Rock on, Dr. Fell! read more

I live on the coast, but I make the one-hour drive to see Dr. Fell because I am confident in his medical advice. Today - another good experience with One Medical and Dr. Fell. Appointment started on time, Dr. Fell obviously reviewed my file thoroughly by the questions he asked me. He has excellent bedside manner and seems to care about all aspects of my health- physical and mental. The office staff (receptionist and lab technician) were friendly, courteous, and efficient as well. I was in and out very quickly and did not feel rushed- all of my issues were addressed. I am a health care provider myself and I tell people to drop in to a place before making an appointment to see if you like the atmosphere. I did this and was warmly greeted by the reception staff and liked the information that they provided. I made an appointment with Dr. Fell online and completed the online questionnaire. I saw Dr Fell for a yearly physical as a first-time client and was very pleased. The lobby of the facility is very stylish and the receptionist was friendly. Dr. Fell was punctual in seeing me, was very attentive, we had some great conversation, and he only performed tests that he felt were pertinent based on my health and history. The blood tests performed by another attendee were quick and painless. I received my results via email about 48 hours later. Such a great all-around experience! read more

I just saw Dr. Fell today, he is by far the BEST doctor I have ever seen. I am always nervous about seeing doctors because of all the bad experiences I've had in my early twenties having to constantly see doctors due to a rare illness. Dr. Fell is extremely compassionate, kind, and understanding and made me feel comfortable within 5 seconds of meeting him. I've been in agonizing pain for over a week now and it was such a relief to talk to a doctor who really cares. I was in and out quickly and was treated with respect by Dr. Fell as well as the staff. I can't write an honest review that doesn't sound bogus. Dr. Fell is genuinely the best doctor I've ever had. It's like your favorite brother is a doctor. He never keeps me waiting, he's always happy to see me. I'm never rushed out the door. When I got a new job, my first question was, does the new insurance work with Dr. Fell? He responds to emails. HIs voice is soothing and compassionate. He's sets up your prescription while you are still sitting there. You don't have to call the office to remind them. When I write all these nice things about him, it sounds kind of fake, but Dr. Fell is genuinely the best doctor I've ever met. read more
