I was really hesitant to see a new physician because my regular doctor was fully booked.

I've gone through plenty of others, through various HMOs and PPOs and who knows what else... But after my last PCP passed-away, I had talked to another specialist I had been consulting, and he recommended Dr. Shah. It is one of the best professional recommendations I think I have ever had, throughout my long history. Let's just say that I've been through a few flus, some obnoxious allergies, and various other things (including COVID). But, Dr. Shah invariably was "there" for me/us - even often above and beyond what I would *ever* expect from a busy physician. This man is unreal, and he has continually shown my entire family that he is there FOR US. I simply can not give a higher recommendation for any professional individual, EVER. My only "fear" is that I "disappoint" him by not being "as-good" a patient as I can, or attending to my own health as well as I should... that's not his fault, though - I'm a grown man, unfortunately, I have become far-too-accustomed to "avoiding" the (previously mediocre) doctor, even when most everyone (including my spouse) says "you should go to a doctor." Luckily, the rest of my family is generally smarter than I am...

I reached out to him several times to seek his advice assuming the best person would be the one that originally prescribed him with the meds. I spoke to him several times because I was really concerned and he assured me that he would check in on my husband for his progress, but that never happened. I never even received a call back from him so I'm sure he's ignoring me. If you care about your health and want a doctor that care for your well being, this isn't the doctor for you.

Then, schedule a 2nd visit to do an Xray IF the doctor orders it. It really doesn't take a DOCTOR to determine if the skin test doesn't work on me in this case, b/c I had already done that years ago at CVS and it came out positive. Thus, the reason why this SAME facility gave me Xrays only in the past, at least two different times. I told her, I already know the skin test does not work on me. That is why the same doctor from this facility skipped the skin test and did Xrays (plural) on me 2 different times in the past. The skin test will only come out positive and an X ray is inevitable. So, a new patient visiting fee of $120 and the TB skin test of $60; then, the 2nd visiting fee of $70 + another TB Xray for $60. That's a total of $310. What is this but a design to make patients pay a 2nd visit no matter the facts, and pay more money for no reason at all. Common sense does not appeal to these people. Ludicrous!

This one star review was for the small woman receptionist who should have been serving in this office for over or around 10 years. She was too rude, too inpatient, and very unprofessional to be qualified for serving in Dr office. We believed not only one patient had such bad experience with that receptionist: When patient who just visited the dr office two weeks ago called in requesting to talk to the junior Dr Yeh for the Dr failed to call the patient as scheduled to review the recent lab report with the patient and prescribed necessary medication before the patient's medication running out. This receptionist showed very unprofessional, very inpatient and very rude when answering the patient call. She not only refused to bridge the patient to the dr but also complained to the patient and requested the patient to stop calling in (if the problem had been resolved who would have interest to waste time to call in?). She even claimed that the dr would not prescribe any medication no matter how before she had managed to reach out to the dr and passed a full picture of the patient situation to the dr. When the patient shew understanding that the dr was busy at the time being and asked if she could let the dr returned call in a later time. She categorically shouted "NO! dr is busy he won't call you back". Did the dr office ever trained the receptionist that in such circumstance as a receptionist should take down the patient contact information and let the dr made a decision? The doctors in this office should periodically read the patient's review and take action to make improvements no matter the receptionist is related to the family or not. A qualified great front desk receptionist like Ann could definitely help the business.

The medical assistant was friendly and double checked all the details before the doctor came in. The doctor had a calm way of speaking that helped me feel more at ease. They asked about my usual routine and how things had changed recently. They were careful not to assume and checked in often to make sure they were getting the full picture. What stood out to me was how they explained what might be going on without being dramatic or trying to sound too certain. It felt like a conversation and not a lecture. The follow up instructions were clear and the assistant gave a quick recap before I left. The place was clean and organized and I felt like the staff worked well as a team. It wasn't perfect but overall I felt like it was handled well and with care.
