Currently residing near the ocean on business, I had to have some fish and today Kettle Fish came to the rescue with a Fish N Chips entrée that was really tasty! With a plan to go lightly on the calories I chose to have the one piece option and a small side of cold slaw for consumption in my hotel room just prior to attending a Zoom meeting. I request crispy fries and they were perfect! The fish was crisp yet moist, and seasoned just right while meeting all of my requirements for a Fish N Chip lunch paired with a local IPA from my fridge. The meal was reasonably priced; received a military discount; and the service was above-and-beyond my expectations. I even received a complementary sample hot cup on New England clam chowder as I waited for my order. My interaction with Jaden was friendly, and he should be commended for his service. Calm quiet atmosphere with indoor as well as outdoor seating. Delicious fish, and I would assume the other items on the menu would be the same. Highly recommend.

First time here. I had the Dungeness crab roll. Very generous amount of crab and the bun was fresh. It would be nice if there was some mayo on the bun, but they gave me some when i asked. My husband had the captain's platter. He said it was very good. We'll go back

Seafood tasted fresh and well prepared. Clams were meaty and very tasty. Single fried oyster - flavorful, without the metallic aftertaste that sometimes plagues fried oysters. Not sure the species of "fish" - thin, very fresh tasting - cod? No grease. I visited at an off time, around 3 PM. The seating area is small. Cocktail sauce had strong, flavorful horseradish flavor. Fries not worth going out of your way, but the fish is.

Fish and fries were good. Cod fish was fresh. Bouillabaisse bowl was ok, not a flavor that I like. I would add a little bit more salt. Feels like it's missing something umami.

My wife and I took a random trip with no destination in mind. This was our lunch stop. We never heard of this place but that's the fun of trips like this. SERVICE The guy that took our order was genuinely nice and friendly. He provided very helpful suggestions. The manager that brought our food and followed up (very rare in a fast food establishment) was also outstanding in friendliness. Excellent job to whomever hired these two FOOD We had fish and chips, clam chowder and crab mac & cheese. Fish was good. They bread it in store. Unique in the sense that the breading was almost like a skin. Chips were average. Clam chowder was the highlight. Very good with a ton of clams. Good flavor and lots of clams made for a very good dish. Crab Mac & cheese not the hit I was hoping for. Pasta was cooked perfect and the cheese sauce had a good taste. The two issues were that the crab was cold and small pieces (warm and bigger pieces would be much better) and lose the crackers that were mixed in. Just weird.

Decent fried seafood made at the time I ordered, so it was all hot. You have to like fried seafood. The batter was nice and light, so I could taste and enjoy the taste of the seafood. The side of tarter and cocktail sauce were basic. The fries were also simple and thick cut. A nice, simple spot for fast, fried seafood. I'll have to try the non-fried next time.

As always amazing food with fantastic service. Outdoor dining with family and the doggie! Fish and chips were great. The side order of shrimp was very good with large flavorful shrimp. Clam chowder was also very good. Forgot to take pictures sorry

Been going to Kettle Fish for years and it's outstanding. But today I ordered a cup of clam chowder to go, and this is what I got. Barely three quarters full. I'll be checking my order before I leave from now on.

Fish and Chips and they are probably the best on this side of the water!!!

The best on this side of the water hands down, all in house made sauces and the clam chowder was the best I had and it's Glucose free!

Always great food. I stop by each year when I come to photograph the Bald Eagles in Seabeck. Tried the Guinness Steamers special today. Very yummy. Crusty French or sourdough would have been better for dipping. Drank all of the broth.

Okay, pretty much every time that I go to Silverdale (my son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons live there), I eat at KettleFish. In so many ways, I am mystified by this restaurant and can't quite figure out what is going on. Kettlefish by far has the best fish and chips in Washington state. I am a connoisseur of seafood and an experienced chef, myself, and as far as juicy fish battered in light coating (that is crisp and adds the counter balance texture that all great deep-fried-fish needs, without getting in the way of the delicious taste and texture of fresh seafood), Kettlefush hits, the mark almost perfectly every time. The french fries are also everything that you would want in a fresh cut french fry - crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, they pair perfectly with the deep fried cod, which is what I always order - why change it if it ain't broke. The crazy thing that I can't understand is why this restaurant isn't absolutely packed, with a line around the building and more to go-orders than they can possibly fill in a timely manner? In the past, in an effort to preserve this treasure, I have hesitated leaving this review for fear It would become so busy that they wouldn't be able to maintain the quality, but now I'm just worried that it might go away because people haven't found the place yet. Also, and maybe because of this, the business is in one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen a restaurant occupy. I think a lot of people are used to having to go to a dirty hole in the wall to get great fish and chips (Fidalgo Island's Shrimp Shack, for instance, which isn't nearly as good) but this place is spectacularly clean and architecturally gorgeous. The light that the building lets in highlights the cleanliness and the open kitchen for all to see the preparation. The smell of the restaurant is delicious , a must for all great restaurants! Surprisingly, the prices are also extremely affordable. I'm older, so I don't eat as much as I used to - one piece fish for about $10 is all I need. I am including a picture so that you can see what I'm talking about, and yes, the food tastes even better than it looks - don't even get me started about their amazing tartar sauce.
