    Fish n chips (pollock)

Here for the Peninsula Dog Fanciers show at the fairgrounds Childhood throw back so when I saw one I had to stop. All skippers in the Seattle metro have closed and never reopened. I heard there are a few left. Inside the restaurant it was spotless clean a friendly staff member took my order. I asked what type of fish. Personally I like cod and haddock this was pollock. I've not had it generally so I was going to see what's up. The clam chowder was hot, for me a bit salty and didn't taste clams. For me was very starchy but it is what it is. Not for me. The chips were typical food service type but hot and crispy. Cole Slaw was good. Nice flavour and crispy cabbage etc I was pleasantly impressed with two traditional tartar sauce. One sweet and one with dill. Personally the dill is original not a fan of sweet but glad the gave that option. Over all place was clean food was fresh and hot and most importantly staff was great Will I come back? If in the region sure why not!

    Chowder bread bowl!

Silverdale Skipper's Restaurant is an absolute gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, with generous portions that were well worth it. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. What really stood out was the friendly, attentive service -- the staff made us feel right at home from start to finish. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience! Definitely my go to spot!!!

Halibut & chips, chowder, and a few scallops.

Talk about a childhood throwback! Today my husband and I decided to stop by Skippers Seafood & Chowder in Silverdale, Washington for the first time in over 15 years for myself. Not only was the food delicious and hot still by the time we got home, but the service was so pleasant, and the supervisor that was working and training his new hire was doing such a great job instructing while keeping up with all of the customers. My husband got halibut and chips, I got chowder and a few scallops - yum! Also to note, this location is so much more modern and bright than I remembered it from growing up!! Super impressive staff, hard at work cleaning a busy dining room, overall a great stop! We will be back for the food and for the customer service.

Fantastic food and excellent service at a fair price; what is not to like? Today we stopped for lunch (quick and easy on and off Hwy 3) we were greeted by a lovely young lady with gold stars on her cheeks, a genuine smile and a great attitude. We hope she is there the next time that we visit. We met her friend with the "Music by John Williams" t shirt and enjoyed a pleasant conversation with both of them while they played with our puppy. Yes outdoors seating is dog friendly complete with a fresh dish of water. Do yourself a favor, it's so much better than anything else in Silverdale for certain! Likely, anywhere else in Kitsap county.

You order at the counter then can sit inside (limited seating = only 2 booths plus a higher bar type seating) and a few tables outside. You can also order to-go. I ordered the Seafood Tacos Hawaiian Style with fried cod. I give it a 9/10 - it was really tasty but not 10/10 since I'm from Southern California and was just in Cabo Mexico last week where the 10/10 fish tacos are. They were still great t You could also get the tacos with fried shrimp and another option is Baja Style. Both Styles come with the white fish taco sauce. Baja Style is pico de gallo and Hawaiian Style is the pico de gallo with the addition of pineapple and mango. It was delicious! I also sampled what other people in my family ordered: 10/10 CAPTAINS PLATTER One piece fish, clam strips, two prawns, one oyster, fries, tartar and cocktail sauces 10/10 STEAMERS clams and mussels simmered in a delicate stew of butter, lemon, garlic, white wine and herbs Both were delicious! I also paid $3 for the sourdough bread and butter (yum!) - it comes toasted (which I didn't know since it doesn't say that on the menu) so specify first if you don't want it that way. My family got the frozen ice cream chocolate chip cookie sandwiches for dessert (like you buy in the grocery store) so what's not to love about that. A little disappointing was I wanted to get the Pacific Pan Roast after seeing the mouth-watering photos on Yelp but they didn't have it in their menu when I was there today. However the food was delicious and this is a fun local spot and we'd definitely return here so this place totally deserves 5 stars!

Our waitress was kind and prompt, however a few things made this an ok experience. 1. Clams were delicious - but clam chowder is horrible 2. Only checked on us one time after food delivery and 3 people had water that needed refilled but never was. 3. They brought a Pup Cup with a candle to my MIL. Could you not spare a small slice of cake or something - it was so weird. Who brings a dressing 1oz cup with whipped cream for a birthday celebration? I personally would not go back, but I don't live near here so that won't be a problem. If you like old ambiance, and an old feeling this is your place, just not my vibe.

We figured she was busy and would get to us. It wasn't like she couldn't see us, we were standing right in front of her. When someone came in and walked right past us going in, we asked if we could sit down. She said yes, and told us to go right in. I don't know why she couldn't just say that to us when we were standing there in front of her, waiting. I had originally planned to get a hot dog, but found out that they only had one kind. The menu I had looked at online, before, had several different kinds. I got the Sweet Hickory BBQ Burger with onion petals, a raspberry lemonade, and peanut butter pie for dessert. My mother got a French Dip with onion petals, and a Blueberry Lime Splash to drink. The burger was exceedingly average. I love every barbecue burger I ever have, but that one was just blah. It really made me wish I had just gone ahead and ordered the hot dog. They gave me extra sauce when I asked, but it didn't improve it, much. My mother said her French Dip was pretty blah, too. She also thought the Blueberry Lime Splash was just kind of all right. I liked the raspberry lemonade, but we both agreed that the onion petals were the star of the show. They were really extraordinarily delicious, with a great texture. I got the peanut butter pie to go, and ate it when I got home. It was incredible! Definitely one of the best peanut butter pies I've ever eaten. It was amazing both with and without the chocolate sauce I was given. All in all, I probably wouldn't go back, but if I do, I'll try the hot dog, and steer clear of the burgers. I'd definitely get the onion petals and peanut butter pie again. As a side note, it's very dim in there, and it was very difficult for my sight impaired mother to read the menu. She had to get up and walk out and read the large one on the wall in the entryway. It's good that they have that option, but a little bit more light would be nice, too.
