This Sweet Business is Located at 1950 E. Avon Rd. near 23 Mile Rd and Dequindre. It is My monthly stop after visiting My Parents at the cemetery on Hamlin Nearby Yates Cider off Dequindre. Yates is celebrating 163 Years of Fresh Made Cider from Apples grown on the property and nearby to be Mashed in their pressing Machine located inside this sweet business. Naturally they close for the winter but open the first week of May till after Halloween. Stop in to see the farm animals for kids, play area and plenty of picnic tables to sit and enjoy a glass of cider and their famous plain or cinnamon sugar donut. ( Photos attached) The past 3 times when I have stopped to shop the donuts have been freshly baked and warm to enjoy before I drive home with a Gallon of cider and 4 other donuts cuz I always eat 2 there with a couple swigs of cider. There's walking trails near the water so pack your hiking or walking tennis shoes for us ladies in flip flops or sandals. Pets are welcome on leash. Inside the business is their clean and stocked store with Homemade Donuts of Cinnamon, Plain & Powdered, Apple Fritters on Friday, Jams, Jellies, Pocket Pies, Cookies and also Sparkling Cider in the Fall. There's an Outdoor Ice Cream Shoppe with Fudge, Caramel Apples, Ice Cream including their famous Donut Sundaes ! They sell hot dogs, roasted corn, and apples when in season. The Staff is always polite with Welcome Smiles when I visit Yates. Some Gluten- Free donuts options are also available I was told. I saw on my last visit two weeks ago, slushy cider machines so Sip and Cool off and maybe encounter a brain freeze ? lol I have a Yates "Core Punch Card" that the staff will punch every time I purchase a gallon of cider, then when the punch card is full... A FREE GALLON of Cider will Put a Smile on My Face and Enjoy! * Traffic alert of Roundabout completion to assist the lines of vehicles from May throughout Summer months and Fun Times in the Fall: Dequindre Rd. now has installed 2 Roundabouts to help with the flow of traffic so be aware, careful and courtesy when entering and leaving Yates Cider Mill and Yield! Thank You to this wonderful classic and old time family business for the many years of satisfying My Cravings and Sweet Tooth back in 2015. Hours: Monday - Thursday 9 AM - 9 PM Friday 8 AM - 10 PM Saturday 9 AM - 10 PM Sunday 12 PM - 9 PM Holiday Hours May Differ so Call (248) 651-8300 There's also their newest location in Canterbury Village. Oh My Deeeelicious its Cider & Donuts at its Finest ! *I enjoy Cider to start off Spring, then Spice up Summer with Captain Morgan's Apple Rum, then to warm up in the Season of Fall with Yates Cider & a shot of Hot Fireball! The bartender Garrett made a great recommendation on a drink and was very educated on the menu items. You can easily walk in, not wait awhile, and get a seat quickly. The restaurant interior was modern industrial with Scandinavian/minimalist influences(?), which I loved because it felt a cozy and welcoming. Any who, back to the service and food. I really enjoyed my entrée, I choose Corned Beef Hash & Eggs and the asiago bread, the dish was a bit heavy (not in a bad way), and I ended up requesting a diet coke but overall, the dish was very good, and the corned beef is not the type from a coney island restaurant, it was shredded and flavorful. The service was outstanding, and our waitress was beyond pleasant and attentive. Would I recommend this place to others? Yes. Would I come back again? Yes, there were other items on the menu I'd like to enjoy.

I asked the employee at the…read morewindow (who I now assume is a manager) kindly if the policy had changed as I hadn't remembered being charged before and she immediately jumped on the defense and snippily said "well if you have been getting it for free then the employees are in trouble because they aren't allowed to do that" etc. Like... I was asking a valid question, no need to immediately jump on the defense, just answer the question. I thought water was free so I called corporate to ask about this policy and ask why a massive corporation like them feels the need to nickel and dime customers for a cup of water. I can understand paying 10 to 20 cents for the cup, but almost a dollar? Corporate confirmed my suspicion and informed me that the restaurants should NOT be charging for cold water. They are allowed to charge if it was hot water, it was not. So not only was the manager wrong, but she was rude to me about it too. Not returning to this or maybe any other Tim's locations if this is how they treat their customers. I also didn't appreciate how she immediately blamed the employees and spoke negatively about them to a customer, implying that they have done something wrong (when they haven't) especially since SHE is the one who is incorrect. I apologize to the kind employees I have met who have to work with this lady, you all are very nice. This potential manager is the first bad employee I have interacted with here. Edited to add: A male manager called and doubled down on everything and said the rude employee was in the right and they have been charging for water for 2 years. Unsure where the disconnect is between the franchises and corporate as I am getting different information from both. That seals the deal, I'm done with Tims. Good to know you think it's okay for the employees to be rude to customers as well.

So I literally asked for a random donut that I thought they would have which is vanilla dip. So I got that and THEN they ran out of cookies that I wanted! We made reservations and arrived and got seated. At first, everything was great. The server came and got our drinks and bread right away and asked what we wanted for the app. We put two apps in and when he came back with the drinks we put the pasta in. We asked for more bread and he said he will bring it. This is where it went wrong. About 10 minutes later he passed us to go to his table behind us and said oh yeah the bread Im getting that and your refilled drinks. After that we did not see this guy for almost the remainder of the service. We ate the apps and then still no drinks. We waited for him to come back in this cornered area and did not see him. The manager brought the pasta and they forgot the chicken for my husband. He got us refills and my husband told Him and he said "well I can put in an order and then you can just add it to the pasta". He brought the chicken out 14 minutes later and his pasta was cold. He had waited to eat it. Still no server or bread. Finally the waitress that was in that area asked us if we needed anything. I told her we were waiting for the read for a long time and that we havent seen the waiter since he took our order. He never came when the food came. Just as we said that he walked over and said oh Im getting the bread. They said the bread was taking a while. As he said that, the manager brought the table next to us some bread. Then the waitress brought some for her new table. We waited again. She ended up giving us her bread and then got new bred. He finally came with the bill and said oh did you want dessert? We obviously didn't as we didn't even see him the whole time. He took forever to bring us the change. This is the second time that the service has not been great. The food is great and tastes great. The restaurant is nice and clean and I like the atmosphere. I just feel like paying $72 for this service wasn't great.
