They are up on all of the latest styles and trends. I just tell Wayne to "make me look fabulous"! And he does. I came into Keter salon with no expectations, and a lofty goal of getting a complete style overhaul. Naturally, I brought a couple pictures. Tony, who is pretty young in his career as a stylist, cut my hair. He took his time, and gave me the best haircut of my life. My hair is fine, and dusty blond, so it's very hard to blend it perfectly. But Tony nailed it. Beyond doing a good job, Tony is laid back, humble and personable. I have been a client at Keter for over a year now. I am so glad to finally have a salon, and hair stylist/expert that I am excited to go to. I hopped around places for literally a decade without ever being truly thrilled with my experiences until a friend recommended Keter to me. Heidi is my stylist and I could not be more pleased with her work. She is the type of professional who not only listens to what a client wants, but she clearly cares a lot about the product that she is producing. She puts so much care into her work, anything from a basic cut to balayage. I've seen her about 5-6 times and I've always left feeling really happy with the end result (cuts and balayage) On top of being very talented, she's also a really nice person and just puts you at ease during the whole experience. Sarah, another stylist at Keter is also great, she goes out of her way to make clients feel welcome as do all the people at the front desk. I chanced across Mayra at Keter last year and she's the only person I let do my hair color! Mayra's gave me vibrant red hair last year, and then this year in the midst of COVID I wanted to start over so I cut my hair very short, and Mayra gave me a super white-grey bleach job (and my hair is naturally dark brown, so both of these colors she gave me are impressive). I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair color as I do when Mayra does it. I'm so happy and impressed AND she's managed to do it in a way that hasn't totally damaged my hair--and in fact I *love* the products they carry at Keter, so I always just let Mayra tell me what to get (I most recently started using Shu Uemura ultimate reset shampoo conditioner, and an anti-brass kerastase mask and they all smell SO GOOD). Mayra also is just a wizard in that I bring her photos for my color inspiration and I swear she looks at them for 2 seconds and then goes back and whips up the exact color, I don't know how she does it because it's not just that the color is right, but she's figured out how to make my hair become that. She's also just a super nice person and I get excited to come hang out for a few hours. Keter in general is just a really nice salon; everyone is always having a nice time and seem to be friends, and everyone in there seems to come out with hair as great as mine, I just really adore coming in, hair day is always one of my favorite days. read more

Got a haircut with Joanne around a week ago. Originally I thought it was great. Joanne is amazing and super friendly, however my hair became layered in an interesting way where it is way to short. The first layer ends in the middle of my head and my hair goes down to my shoulders! For how expensive the service was, it was not worth it. I had to go to another salon to get it fixed. Again, Joanne is great just be clear with what you want for your cut. We definitely had a misunderstanding. read more

I've had three good haircuts with Keter salon, by Rachel. Hence the 3 stars. Unfortunately, Rachel is no longer at this salon. I went for a haircut about a week and a half ago. The stylist cut my hair a lot shorter than what we discussed. To add my hair is curly so it looks even shorter. I'm not sure that the stylist has a lot of experience with curly hair. So far I've been hiding the haircut. I called last week and was told that maybe I could come into the salon and that management would call me or the stylist. It's been a week and I've gotten no call. I'm just pretty disappointed with the experience, especially as I expected a lot more for an expensive hair cut. I will not be going back to the salon. read more

I scheduled a blow out for my prom around 2 weeks before the actual day with Anita. When I got there, I was told that I had not scheduled a blow out and that there was only time for curls since they were over scheduled. They acted like it was my fault for having to squeeze me in when after all, they had just simply overbooked their stylist. I was able to work out a wash and a blow dry after showing the stylist a photo for reference when she offered to "set" my hair with curls because they would last longer. About an hour after pinning my hair up in curls with loads of hairspray, I was told that my service was $136!! I had expected to pay no more than $70 since that is the average price for a blow out and was never told how much more the "set" curls were, otherwise I would never have gotten it! The curls were nothing special either. There was a very strange vibe there as it was crowded and overbooked. My stylist was rude and seemed annoyed that she had to do my hair. Will never be going back and hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Aviva is amazing! I found Aviva through Yelp and went to see her last week to update my color. I felt very washed out with my highlights and had root growth that was in need of help. Instead of doing what most hair salons do by just going highlight crazy, Aviva took my base color down a notch, added lowlights and just a touch of highlights. The result - rich, vibrant color with beautiful tones and texture. I am so happy to have found her and LOVE LOVE LOVE my new color! I can't wait to go back for a haircut. read more

She talked me into going short and have never gotten more compliments on a haircut in my life. In fact, people stop me and ask me where I get my haircut -- That is the ultimate compliment. The one thing that makes this stylist amazing and great at her job is her ability to assess the client (me) and understand what it is that I need even when I don't. Thank god I finally found Anita, like other reviews say she reallly takes her time and evaluates your hair and what you want before working her magic! I am student who is always low on cash and so I don't see her as often as I should, but whenever I am able to work a cut or color into my budget I will always see her. She is actually very affordable (especially for the amount of time and skill she puts into her work!), and always puts in the extra time an effort to make sure you are totally satisfied with your hair. This review is for Aviva! Woo-hoo! I met Aviva because she was kind enough to help me load my bike in the bus bike-rack, and boy am I glad! I had been thinking about getting a new haircut, maybe something short-ish, for a while. She mentioned that she was new to the bay area and cuts hair at Keter, so I came down to see what I thought. (My last two haircuts were ugh, so I was on the prowl for a new stylist.) First off, the salon is gorgeous. I felt happier and more relaxed just stepping through the door. They have nifty robes. Aviva offered me tea. There's tons of sunlight. It's the little things, you know? Aviva was fun to chat with, but also let there be quiet if I got quiet. (I like to enjoy my shampoo without chatting.) Shampoo and scalp massage were excellent. I have quite long hair and so we brainstormed about what might look nice and make a change, though not too too dramatic. She made suggestions, but always responded to my limitations and what I thought would look best. So, in the end, I opted for medium-short layers. They're fantastic! Very low-maintenance, as requested, and quite flexible. She styled it beautifully and, though I probably wouldn't be able to do quite what she did with that round brush and drier, I may well come back to have her do it again for a special event. Wane at Keter Salon has been doing my hair for the past ten years. He created a brilliant red color that is similar to Ariel the disney mermaid cartoon. I literally have people stop me about once a week on the street to ask me how I get my hair this red and who does my hair. Wane has taught me how to take care of my hair and keep the red in. He also has helped me tame it a bit since it is very thick and curly. He is also one of the funniest people I know and I frequently laugh till I cry as he cuts my hair and colors it. I've been here twice and had haircuts with 2 different stylists, and both were great. Frankie gave me an awesome shoulder length cut for my fine, wavy hair. She undercut the back which is straighter so it doesn't hang down. I liked that she wasn't afraid to cut off some length and give suggestions ("Have you ever considered a pixie cut?"). I got a nice cut by Sam for my second appointment. I received a lot of compliments, and a friend chose this salon based on liking my hair (the ultimate flattery). She got a great swingy cut for her long, straight hair with Sasha. I'll be making Frankie my main stylist because I like that she'll suggest new styles to me, and I need someone to stay on top of making me look more stylish than I really am. So that is 3 great cuts by 3 great stylists. Plus they're open on Sundays -- so book an appointment! read more

She immediately picked-up on the concept with little to no direction. She's a delightfully interesting person to talk to which makes time fly in the chair.
