The staff are all great in this place. I needed highlights and a haircut after months of lack of care to my hair (life happens) and Sasha did a great job. The stylists stations are kept clean as well. The business is in a good location and offers 2-hour free parking. Worth every penny. read more

Do NOT Come here if you have curly hair!!! I have maybe 2c type hair and they gave me a dry cut and didn't wet my hair until "styling". They don't really have curl cream and did NOT know how to use a diffuser. I straightened my hair yesterday and OMG was the most uneven front pieces. Like I'd do better with kitchen scissors. There really was no point in going back to fix it, I just don't think this is a curly friendly salon. So just keep that it mind. If you have straight hair, this is more for you. My daughter's red, fun for Summer, highlights! Amazing! This is the third time I have used this shop for myself or family. All three stylists have been just superb, creative and exceptionally talented. I had lost my 20 year stylist to retirement and had tried a few others, but feel I found my spot with Keter. Mayra cut my hair and immediately knew how to approach curly hair, using scissors that would encourage curl and nit frizz! She did a fabulous job in restoring my natural curl. I also had her give me highlights that would lighten up my hair for the summer. It was done exactly as I had hoped. My son wanted a creative cut to keep his hair longer on one side and short on the other. Anna provided a cut that layered the long side which encouraged a natural wave to come out that looked great. She was also really sweet to my 16yo, supportive of his developing look! Nellie did the highlights for my daughter's hair. My daughter is 12 and I wanted her to be happy with Summer highlights of red, but also protect her young, chestnut brown head of hair. Nellie did an unbelievable job on the color! It was really breathtaking, in a good way. My girl looked so gown up, but in a playful way. Loved it! This salon is a great place to go for anyone in your family. I really only take the time to review when the service was really amazing. Roxy was AWESOME. This is my first time getting a haircut in Berkeley so I found this shop via Yelp and man I was not disappointed. Everyone was extremely nice and the prices were reasonable. Usually going to a new place I get anxious that they will chop off way more than I want, but Roxy was super kind and asked throughout the cut if I was happy with the length, etc. I ended up with the exact cut I wanted. Kiki Kraski is a hair wizard. Every time I've had a cut from her I walk away immediately stunned with how much I love it. Often with new cuts it can take a few days for me to get used to it, but with Kiki, it's immediate. Today, Kiki did a color treatment for my hair which was badly needed. She understood my graying hair and how I had damaged it by using box color for so long. She was able to integrate my grays, bring in warm color underneath, and it is absolutely gorgeous. The person who answered the phone literally started quoting me bleaching and when I explained this was not what I wanted, she made some excuses about typing something into the computer and then said "we don't really offer just root touch ups." I have returned to Keter after a couple of years at a budget salon. Sarah, a junior stylist, has colored and cut my hair twice and done an excellent job at a very reasonable price. She's bright and conscientious and very considerate of her clients comfort and preferences. [ During Covid Review ] I still stand by my post that I made a couple years ago and I have to say that this is the place I go to if I wanted to do something different with my hair whether it be a hair cut, hair dye, or even a blowout. This salon really follows Covid guidelines where they limit the amount of customers that come in (they no longer double book customers), they take your temperature before coming in, you have to answer covid questions prior before entering and they offer hand sanitizer. They also have arrows on the floor that prevent people from bumping into each other that signal one way directions. Lastly, they put up barriers between each stylist to keep the "6 ft distance". My go to stylist was Melissa, but then she left and since she left I was able to try out a new stylist and I LOVE her. Jordan is amazing and I give her 6/5 stars. I've always been cautious with having people touch/style my hair because a lot of people don't know how to handle asian hair; however, Jordan is the best! She understands my hair, she gets what I want and I always enjoy every appointment I have with her. I recently came in to change the color of my hair and I showed Jordan a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it! After I left the salon, I just kept looking in the mirror and kept falling in love with the hair color. I highly recommend this salon if you are looking to change your hair whether it be a small change or a big change.
