Mark Williams - Literally refused to give me his name!! Went with my son to buy a used vehicle. Had a price agreed via text. On final test drive we heard a noise in the car, and knew what the issue was, and knew that it needed to be addressed. My sons request was simple... either fix the part or reduce the price so we can have it fixed. Rather than just saying no, the sales manager made a point to condescend and insult my son and myself. I attempted to reset the discussion to keep it civil, the manager (having come in hot) had not yet introduced himself, so I offered my name and a greeting. He refused to give his name, stating "I don't need that internet complaining BS". So - here it is - that internet complaining BS... and by the way, his name is Mark Williams. The true stereotype of sleasy used car salesman. We shook hands with the salesman that had worked with us and said we were sorry his boss ruined a deal for him. I purchased a used vehicle from Kerry Toyota, and the check engine light came on just one week after driving it. When I brought it back to the dealership, they told me there was nothing they could do to help. I then took the vehicle to AutoZone, where I was given the error code and informed that it had been present before I even bought the car. This means someone likely cleared the error code prior to the sale. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend buying a vehicle from Kerry Toyota. read more

What a shi*hole for service. My son took his newly purchased Toyota Prius to have the "green" coolant flushed out. The "genius" mechanic started spouting off issues with heat exchanger and noises etc.. because of green coolant. They flushed both systems but after driving for a few miles the new "pink" coolant turned dirty looking. So basically they didn't flush with a cleaner or anything. Sent pics to the dealership and the loser "mechanic" basically said he could never get the old coolant out and that the car "had a lot of things going on" and to take it back where you bought it. WTF kind of answer is that. Do i need to fix "a lot of things going on"? They are just looking for things to "fix" and make $$$$. STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING. read more

I have purchased several cars from here, both used and brand new. I have purchased a 2021 Corolla, a 2023 Tacoma, and a 2021 Tundra. I have also co-signed on two 2023 Tacomas and brought my father here; he then purchased a brand new Tacoma and an F-150 from here. So imagine the disappointment I have when I purchased a 2022 VW Tiguan from here, and it didn't last 4-5 months before the Engine Blew on it. I purchased this vehicle for my wife when I found out our firstborn was coming earlier this year. I brought the vehicle to them and called Bill Langford, explaining that the Vehicle kept popping ECU Codes and Check Engine Lights. I also explained that the Vehicle also resets these lights when you shut the vehicle off and back on; you just have to drive it for it to come on. So apparently, they brought the Tiguan to Kerry VW down the street, and they had found an issue with it. The first representee called me after I had Called around with no update on my vehicle for a few days and walking to work everyday and taking an uber so my 6 month pregnant wife could get to work by utilizing my car, To later on find out that the Tiguan needed a New engine and that Kerry was aware of it before they sold it to me. This was also printed out for me and given to me by that representative, so I can take it to Kerry Toyota. I originally had given this to Mark Williams, who insisted on driving the car because he was told by someone else at Kerry VW that it was fixed. I tried giving him the printout that they had given me from Kerry VW that stated what was wrong with the Vehicle. So I allowed Mark to drive the vehicle, for what I don't know, because it doesn't change what Kerry VW had found. I assume it was to "Prove me wrong.." he came back and insisted the vehicle was fixed and that he drove it on Burlington Pike or 18, going 60-65 Miles an hour. I was upset because he was driving a vehicle as hard as he could on public roadways that is currently under my name, going 60-65 miles an hour in a 45. Then told me nothing was wrong with the car and said I was wasting time and didn't want to argue with me about it. Then TR Miller came out and spoke to me while I was there and explained to me about the warranties and how it only kicks in after 3000 Miles of driving it, and that I was just 200 miles short of it, so it's not covered. Then TR Miller said if I have a problem with it, I should drive the Vehicle or walk and let my pregnant wife drive my car. Because he drives the worst Vehicle in his family, so naturally I should do the same. So naturally, I am no Longer Purchasing a Vehicle from Kerry Toyota or any of its affiliates. It is a shame, too, after years of buying expensive vehicles from this place and recommending and signing vehicles for other people in my name from this place. I will be placing this same experience I had on the BBB website. Also if I had the time, and if my wife wasn't 6 months pregnant, and this whole thing didn't stress her out. I would've sued this place. But I had no choice, and I went ahead and sold the vehicle and purchased a Newer Rav4 from another competitive Toyota dealership for the Mrs. instead. This is September and the new inventory is arriving so car dealerships are making deals everywhere to move their current inventory. I stopped at Kerry Toyota in Florence. We entered their new car showroom and it was empty! Nothing on display, no vehicles to look at, and kick the tires on just one big empty space. we were greeted by a salesman who was very polite and even let us road-test a new Camry. But like I said the end of the year for them and new inventory on it's way in so I knew that there was no way to get a deal on a new car there, So We decided to look at their used car inventory, and what a mistake that was. We went next door and saw a few models that we liked. Our salesman was Zach and he went far and beyond to please me and my wife. We road-tested a few models and even a Bronco Sport that was on the lot. We liked just about every car we tested but we told Zach that we were looking for something with low mileage. No demands on color or accessories just low mileage. He brought out a four-year-old car with 21k on the clock. We drove it and we liked it, so we asked what was the price of the car. They wanted $31,950 and I offered $30,000 out the door. He said let's see if we can make this happen. We get inside Zach goes to talk to the sales manager and comes out and tells us that he could do the car at 30k but we would have to pay for the taxes and title fee. I spoke it over with my wife and agreed on the deal and shook hands on the deal. Zach did all the pre-paper work and was going to the sales manager to get final approval, thinking that we were financing the full amount. I told him that I was leaving a 10k deposit, so we were only financing 21k. Zack looked happy he was going to make a commission today and maybe take his wife out for dinner. But he is when things went upside down. The sales manager after finding out that we had a 10k deposit figured that he should get the entire original price for the vehicle. He returned to the desk that we were sitting in and told us "We can't sell this vehicle at this price I need an additional $1300". I looked at him and told him no we agreed on this price. but his greed just couldn't stop him from trying He started pointing out the color, the mileage, and every little thing that was on this car. So I stood up and told him "Sorry but we shook hands on a price and I wasn't paying any more than the price we agreed upon". He then started with you are going to walk away from this deal because of the $1300 difference? I responded with yes I am and it's your greed that is making me walk away. We left and I was burning mad, I am a man of my word and expect the people that I do or give my business to be of that same basic value. I searched online and found the car with the same mileage on Car Max for $3000 less. I guess I will be going there to purchase a vehicle. Poor customer service experience. Kevin at the service desk was very nice with getting us checked in and out, but the other salesmen were complicit in a nasty customer situation. Upon arriving with my son, we were told the play room was in another building but had a foul odor, so our other options were the main waiting room or a "quiet room." We chose the main waiting room and there were plenty of seats so we chose two and sat down. My child sat and played with cars and had a snack very pleasantly. A man came in and sat right next to my son. (Plenty of seats elsewhere) The man kept shaking his head every time my son would even move, and at one point I gave my son a sucker because he was sitting so nice for so long. When he licked the sucker he coughed, and the man looked over and stared and shook his head at my son. I kindly let him know there is a quiet room if he's bothered by my son. His loud response was "control your kid woman. He's coughing on me. You're the mother!' I responded with "he's 2 and there's nothing to control." I became visibly upset and another woman with a small child told him he should go to quiet room and that my son did nothing wrong. He told her she should go back to the cave she crawled out from. I took my son to the sales area fearing for his safety with this unreasonable man. They offered us a seat by them which I appreciated. They seemed to care until they started speaking. Their response was "I'm not clocked in so I'm not getting in an argument" another response was "shh we don't want him to think we're siding with you" The one man received a call from another employee telling us to just go to the playroom. That's not diplomatic or reasonable, that's absurd. While I know the nasty customer isn't their fault, how he acts towards their other customers is their responsibility to control in their waiting room-especially when it's brought to their attention. This man should have been told to leave, but instead two mothers and their children had to get up and leave. Plenty of places to buy or have your vehicle serviced. Toyota in Dry Ridge has always been pleasant. read more

Avoid this dealership at all costs!! I bought a used 2019 Expedition only to find out it was in poor condition. It needed motor work (cam Phasers, new turbos and rear struts and brakes were bad also. After arguing with them for a week and my so called free 6-month warranty saying it was preexisting and would not cover anything, they agreed to do the motor work. They said the other was normal wear and tear on a 100k vehicle. The brakes started pulsating and when you would hit a fairly sized bump, it would throw the truck towards the opposite lane or towards the ditch which is totally unsafe, but they do not care! So, I have to fix this before i can drive it anymore. I understand normal wear and tear, but leaking struts is a safety concern and should have been caught before being sold. They don't care, they got my money, they said they do a thorough check of the vehicle before putting it for sale. Yeah Right!! LIES!! They kept my truck for almost 3 weeks! I've learned a lesson. I spent $30,000 for a junker that i personally have to put in another $2,000 to drive and feel safe! Stay Away!! salesman Bill Langford was good, used car manager Mark Williams, told me when I drove off the lot they washed their hands of it, which I told him that was pretty crappy to say, another used car manager was Jeremy Schmidt, who finally decided to at least fix the motor issue, said and I quote "brakes and shocks fall under preventative maintenance and are fine to operate a long time" I sent 2 emails to Chris Mitchell and he never responded to me personally or acknowledged he received my emails. What happened to a happy customer? I just wanted a safe and reliable vehicle to enjoy and run into this. I think you should really check over your used vehicles a little better and treat your customers with a little more respect. I do not recommend taking your car for any service at this location. I believe they put on new tires without aligning them correctly because they went bad due to cupping issues within months. My car started making a grinding sound 3 days after I took her to Kerry Toyota for her airbag recall. After 2-3 hours, we got a call with a quote for $750 to replace my brake pads, rotors and calipers. When we told them that we would be not doing the job there, they tried to scare me into acquiescing by telling me that my brakes were about to go out and it was incredibly dangerous to drive my car. They also told me I needed new spark plugs despite the fact that my husband replaced mine a year or two ago. We then called Lee's tires in Covington (on Taylor mill road) who gave me a quote for $350 over the phone. After they looked at her, they replaced the pads and rotors and cleaned up the calipers (they said the calipers didn't need replacing) and only charged me $235. Everything took only 1.5 hours. These guys are going to keep my 10-yr-old corolla running for several more years! Please get a second opinion before you give Kerry Toyota your hard-earned Money. read more

I am writing this for my grandson Cody Murphy. It looks, like this review was taken down. I posted it 6 days ago. I guess Toyota is able to get rid of bad reviews. Original post is below. Again. Cody Murphy was the purchaser. I was accompanying my son. On March 26, 2023, we bought a new Toyota Tacoma Limited. The price had been settled through email so there was no pressure there. Although the person I'd been corresponding with wasn't there the day we came in to buy, Freddie was there and was pleasant, helpful and nice to work with. We stated that we wanted to buy the extended warranty (as we have with other Toyota vehicles, the most recent a year ago so I knew what the price should be for the warranty). I had no idea stating this upfront would be so problematic. These warranties are priced by Toyota and not a point of contention. Once back in the finance office, we were seated in front of Mike Svach. He had what looked like a Microsoft word printout with different warranties listed. I asked for the Toyota brochure (since we were sitting in a Toyota dealership), and he said he didn't have one and the printout offered better warranties. While I admit, I'm not a Math major, I am highly educated and know enough to use a simple calculator and also know that it takes 5 seconds to calculate what our monthly payment would be since I knew our price, interest rate, and length of the loan. He would not give me the price of the warranty alone, nor would he allow us to purchase it separately. His "warranty" added over 200/month on what our payment would be. This would make us pay over 13 grand for the warranty (my son had a high interest rate). When I said the warranty should be around 2 grand, he said you won't find that price anywhere. We ultimately declined the warranty and said we would go to another Toyota dealership and buy the warranty. He was condescending, and asked "why wouldn't you want this warranty?" Compounding unnecessary interest for a customer who is willing to pay for the warranty separately that day is hurting the customer. He knew "why we didn't want his warranty". When he knew we couldn't be talked into the warranty, he went on to type on the keyboard vigorously and acted angry the rest of the encounter. It was very uncomfortable. If we hadn't been looking for a truck for so long, we would've just left. I am happy he didn't earn any more money from us on the warranty. The same week, I went to Toyota of Nicholasville, bought the best Toyota warranty for 1900 and the finance manager there was appalled at the story. He was amazed that Mr. Svach didn't allow us to see a Toyota brochure. And as I had expected, the warranty was the price I expected and there was no haggling or pressure whatsoever. Sadly, the next day, I sent an email about this to the team who worked with me on the sale the prior days, and asked them to forward my concern to management. That has been a week and I haven't heard a word. Sadly, tactics like this are what give car dealerships a bad name. I mean where do I start. I downloaded yelp just to leave this review. It started with my salesman not knowing really anything about the car and informing me on features that do not exist. I had to inform the salesman why the car wasn't remote starting (because it's a manual) and also claimed you can change the car from rwd to awd (which I knew that wasn't a thing for my gr86 and actually happened to be a headlight feature but he had asked Snapchat's ai for the answer) then I use my free oil changes and the service advisor didn't seem to have reliable information and find out the lube techs are revving my car while teaching another worker how to drive stick shift as he stalls the car. The cherry on top is him leaving his vape in my passenger seat cupholder. You really can't make this up. He proceeded to say (via dashcam) I don't do my maintenance right since it's only my second time there (I did two additional oil changes on my own) Overall: not people you can really trust with your car with or for reliable information. I drive a Toyota so this is the place I always bring my car for everything- oil change, breaks checks, tire change, light change, etc. The service provided to me during this visit was excellent, once I pulled in the garage someone was there to assist me. There was no waiting, I was helped right away, gave her my keys and she gave a me a piece of paper and I walk-in to the service counter where someone will talk to you about the reason you're there. I was there for an 85000 mile service so that includes oil change, tire rotation, break check, filter and other things I don't remember. Anyways, my price was $59+ taxes, but I asked for them to change all the bulbs that needs to be replaced. To my surprise, I ended up with $198 and change because they replaced 2 light bulbs and my filter. Of course to make me feel better, the guy told me he gave me a total of $30 discount. Oh well, at least everything was done, and that's less of my worries. I just wish it's not that much, I understand that they have to add labor that's why my original price tag escalated. This service center has waiting areas- I went to the one next to the show room- there's plenty of sitting areas, tv and beverage station where there's coffee and fountain drinks available. I notice that there's also pretzels, gummy bears and kisses on huge glass jars for costumers and workers. That's really a nice touch. read more

Went to get my RAV4 service. Took an 8 am appointment so I could get in and out.... Waited 1 1/2 hours for "regular maintenance". "Regular maintenance is: rotate tires, oil changes, top off fluids, lube oil and filter...$I had to go to the service desk because no one from the service desk came to me. When I went to the desk the guy passed "the buck" to the technicians saying it took so long because 2 people had to look at my brakes. If I would not have gone to the desk...how long would I have waited?????? For the Maintenance piece, people that came before me left before me. The service person told me so everyone could hear that maintenance could take an 1 1/2 hours on a Saturday. I wonder if how service can be quicker for some people can come after me and leave before me. It is not like I did not have an appointment set 6 months ago ....told me I need front brakes...$300. Sales staff is great but the finance staff rude degrading and pushy. My mother whom buys a new car every 2 years and also has GREAT credit was talk to treated like she was stupid. Pushing and extended warranty and when she says no they say "I thought I was dealing with some one smarter than this." My mother also recently graduated college and there's a rebate for recent grads and when she asked about that said individual mocked her bc he couldn't believe that at her age she graduated from college. You don't do business like that. We took the car back the next day bc they wouldn't do a thing to rectify the situation. I'm in sales as well as the service industry.
