My wife was on Ky 18 near this dealership when a tire blew out on her explorer and she found the nearest ford dealership to replace her tire While in the service department waiting for her tire to be replaced the service manager informed her that her battery failed a diagnostic test....why would they even do a test for an emergency tire repair...???? Well first, my 2015 Ford F150 was vandalized on their property while awaiting engine repairs. My transmission pan was dropped and the lead frame stolen. I had to file an insurance claim because they made it very clear to me, they weren't liable! After a couple months of getting everything serviced, my gear shifter started acting up. I took it in, since they were the last ones to work on it. They quoted over $900 to replace the shifter cable they said was bad. I declined their service and took it to a local shop instead. The local shop texted me after they lifted the truck and sent pictures of the real issue. The cable goes into a locking mechanism with a latch to secure it. Unfortunately, that cable wasn't secured and the latch was left open, most likely due to Airport Ford when they performed the work fixing the transmission and engine issues. I was able to get it fixed for $60 bucks by the local shop. Airport Ford is horrible and their service department is the worst! Go somewhere else, they are not honest and will charge you an arm and a leg! read more

Here's a follow up to my previous post. Just when you think the problem is over . . . for the very first time I get a call to update me on my car they've had for over a week and quoted me a price to fix it. The wrong part that came in that they have to reorder is cheaper than the part they were supposed to order in the first place. A LOT cheaper. I approved $800 of work to be done to fix the car. The new price is now $1700 dollars! More than double the amount I initially approved. If I don't have the work done and just take my car back it will still cost me $700. Do NOT use this business! I still cannot leave less than a star which is the only reason they get 1 star! read more

Made an appointment, dropped vehicle off at the time scheduled and then have to call them for update on my vehicle at 4pm because I haven't heard anything. I assume that is someone at Airport Ford because that's exactly how I was treated - disrespectfully and if how I was taken advantage of was a joke to them. I never received a call back like promised. When I took the time to call them the guy couldn't have been more disrespectful and express less concern for how my vehicle had to be repaired by another shop after Airport Ford had it. I was charged for work not done correctly and for work NOT DONE. I was charged $75 to recover my key code. The incorrect code was given to me which caused a major inconvenience and yes - MORE MONEY. Took my F-150 here because transmission went out and they said it would be 4-6 weeks but it took 8 weeks. I get it back with the check engine light on and the engine making a noise it didn't before it went there and smoke coming out of the exhaust. On November 14 had my 2013 Edge in for an oil change and tire rotation. At that time they said I needed rear brakes, which I allowed. On December 15 I had to take my car to a tire store to fix a slow leak in the right rear tire. When they finished they informed me the lugs on the left front tire were merely hand tightened and he was surprised the wheel stayed on. He was even more surprised when I told him my family drove the car to Asheville, NC thru the Smoky Mountains. Since it was a weekend, I sent Airport Ford a text message thru their website relaying this info, so far I've not heard a word from anyone other than the individual in Sales who gets online inquiries and he assured me he gave the info to the service Dept. I did, however get a voicemail from Bob regarding my inquiry about a used car??? To say I'm more than disappointed about the lack of interest would be an understatement. read more

I took 8 MONTHS to repair the gas tank problem. When picked up my Fusion I didn't get so much as a "Sorry this took so long." My car was in the elements for 8 months. Airport Ford couldn't bother to even wash it. I was delivered a dust covered embarrassment. Two weeks after I got my Fusion back I noticed while fueling gas was leaking on the ground. I took it back to Airport Ford. They said a seal must have somehow worked its way loose. NO, it was poor workmanship! I will NEVER trust Airport Ford with my car again. read more

Worst experience at a dealership ever. First the car was falsely advertised as a gt350 and it was not. I was told the car went through inspection and nothing was wrong with it. Took my car to a mechanic and the rear end had to be rebuilt. Cost 1200 and airport ford said they would not cover any of it. Manager told me he didn't care if it was an 80,000 dollar car if you drive off the lot and it breaks to bad sold as is. Then contradicted himself and said if you brought to us first we might have fixed it. Worst dealership ever very unprofessional and they don't back their used cars. read more

Never get your repairs done here. Brought my F-250 here to replace my AC compressor and pulleys. They replaced everything and I picked it up and heat didn't work when I left. I brought it back and they looked at it and said I have great news, "we replaced the brand new compressor with another new compressor but now you have a leak in AC lines. We'll have to take the dash off and replace it". Mind you that there was no leak before because I tried putting AC refrigerant and would not except it. They charged me $1200 to fix there screw up. I'd leave 0 stars if I could! Scheduled a oil change service appointment 1- 2 weeks ago on my ford app. You know... the app with the ford car I bought from this dealer. You'd think you would have the convenience of being able to actually use the dealership that sold you the car! Nope. Always some problem. Always. Never availability. Schedule sucks. Always have to "drop off" and can't ever wait for the car. The app allows you to schedule online and gives no problems at all. I schedule and plan it on a day I am off work. I show up for appointment today only to be told, "sorry, those online / app appointments don't work or we don't see them. Some places can but we don't. So you actually don't have an appointment. " I have a confirmation via text, email, app, etc. I show this... doesn't matter. Means nothing. Why in the year 2023 is there access to such options on apps or online websites and then I'm told it doesn't work there or only does some places. Poor excuses and customer service for sure. Super inconvenient and frustrating. If something isn't available or doesn't work I would definitely ensure the function isn't set up for that specific location on FORD APP or website to ensure problems like this don't occur. What a waste of time. Every time I come to this Ford in Burlington Ky there is always something like this that happens. They need major customer service skills work too. You don't just say," sorry... not my fault. We don't do that." It makes the business and Ford overall look awful when they just shrug shoulders like "sorry can't do it. Not our problem. Not all places do it. " What happened to taking care of the customer especially when it's not something they can't help or control???? Fix the problem! Fix the app or website to not allow customers to schedule if in fact you aren't able to do so for certain places! I will never purchase from this dealer again and I will never go to this place again. This may be hard to comprehend for most people but I am actually a working mom and person. Meaning... unlike half the lazy world sitting at home looking for hand outs or waiting on everyone else to take care of them...I am out working. If there was a time to use the word deplorable it would be in reference to Airport Ford. The facade is that they are trying to come off as a quality, customer focused family owned business. The reality is just another business that is only concerned about the bottom dollar and will try to squeeze every cent out of the customer it can without remorse, or recourse to remedy the situation. That being said I was sold an inferior product that supposedly was inspected inside and out and was said to be in great condition both physically and mechanically. I went to Airport Ford to buy a used Ford truck because I figured they would sell a quality product and stand behind it being a Ford dealer. The F-150 I looked at was clean on the outside and I took a quick look underneath, no oil leaks or anything. I negotiated the price over email even before seeing it as they had it listed over KBB value right off the bat. After questioning the salesman about physical condition of frame and body, he assured me it was fully inspected and came with a 3 month warranty. After paying about $20,000 for said vehicle with added extended warranty, one week after I decided to run some front and rear cameras. Once under the vehicle the rocker panels were rusted to the point of disintegration, and on the outside of the vehicle I started pushing on one of the cab corners and my finger went right through the paint and metal. When contacted they said bring it in and the body technician verified the rockers and cab corners were completely shot and affected the structural integrity but he couldn't make the call to replace only the Used Car Mgr. Jim. He also stated no one could miss that damage if inspected. This was on a Friday. Fast forward to Monday when Jim the Used Car Mgr. was in. He essentially told me it was my problem the warranty doesn't cover rust(or as the body tech said - structural damage) "what do you want me to do, it's like you want a new truck?" NO, what I wanted was a vehicle that I paid good hard earned money with, in the shape I was told it was in and "had been inspected" - 1. they could fix it (they have a bodyshop!), 2. money back toward the repair elsewhere, 3. full return of this vehicle. He flat out said no to all and said he would give me trade credit, ha, so essentially he was upselling me now...disgraceful that a business has no integrity when they know they are in the wrong. It is straight up borderline fraud. Now I'm left with a $2500 repair that I didn't have the money for and no reparation in terms of the money I paid for the vehicle or for the repair. So the salesman gets his commission and the dealer makes money and myself the consumer screwed over, thanks! Moral of the story if you are buying new and able to beat out a decent price you may be ok. If you are looking at USED DO NOT GO TO AIRPORT FORD! Worst experience of my life, I feel like I was just robbed at gunpoint then beat on the ground after the fact. *If the "Owner" decides to respond I have already contacted your dealership directly and was treated like a second rate citizen. Read reviews BEFORE you use the Poorest Ford Dealer I've ever been in contact with. I went to look at buying a New Truck on a Friday around 6, on my way home from work, in October of 2019, very "pre-corona protocol", there was a slight drizzle and I guess that was enough to keep the Sales People inside, they told me, when I found them that if I wanted to drive anything or put on a Credit App, let them know... What happened to the experienced salesman helping me eliminate models through conversation about my intended use and his product expertise, rather than walk to EVERY MODEL in the drizzle, which they didn't want to get into I assume, so why send the customer to do that? Unfortunately that's not enough interaction to base a long term opinion on, so I gave them another chance... I dropped the truck off and asked them to diagnose the truck and since it was recently in an accident, could they ensure everything was repaired appropriately, I was having the check engine light on, and other small issues. The Service "Lead", Mario, has been at the business since its founding, or very close to that time, no kidding, and through his obtuse nature, or some other baseless reason, makes Every interaction difficult, THIS BUSINESS HAS 20, 1 STAR REVIEWS FOR A REASON, READ THEM!!!!! I have low vision issues and when I dropped the truck off after hours, I could see the envelope had writing and checkboxes in a color I struggle to see well, and so rather than make incorrect selections, I wrote the make and model of my truck on the envelope, which was parked directly behind the truck that was parked against the Right Side Service Bay Entry Door, and put the keys in the drop off slot. I talked extensively to another Service Dept. Employee so I was comfortable that the truck would receive the appropriate attention. At the end of the next day Mario called and asked what was going on with the truck, and then berated me for not appropriately filling out the envelope and said he would work on diagnosing the truck the next day. He had to pull the truck up by Vin or Plate Number and got my co tact number from their system so I know he had the ability to see why the truck was there, but I conceded to his choice of conversation at me and left the issue at "he's gonna follow back up with me". The next day, Mario called to say he found no problems. I in very minuscule detail explained how to replicate the issue, he again found no issue. I drove to the dealer, he got "The Tech", I replicated the issue immediately and they BOTH looked confused and Mario said they'd call me and walked away quickly, leaving me to feel as if they were "hot on the issue"now. Mario later called and said he was looking at a "busted part", which left me feeling as if he was just giving me an explanation to justify his unnecessary repair. The issue was a door that would not open on the FIRST PULL OF THE HANDLE, if you enter the door code, or hit the unlock button on the remote 1X, IT OPENS OM THE 2nd, EVERT TIME., A BROKE PART DOESN'T OPERATE AT ALL, so in a successive discussion with the insurance company and Mario, he said he "never looked at the open door, he's not a Tech". He then takes an angle that I'm asking him to attribute something to the accident that isn't attributable... I'm not sure if it's actually an integrity issue, or just simply Obtusity, an intentional use of wordplay to complicate the issue, through cloudy explanation? DEFINITELY!... Definitely. If you ask for the Service Manager, his name is Guy, you may not do better than you did with Mario. He gave me the general dealership number when I asked for his direct line, and the issue with Mario then turned Facetious and I just decided to NEVER GIVE THEM ANOTHER DOLLAR, AND POST MY REVIEW AND HOPE ORHERS LISTEN... Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else, I'll use a "shade tree mechanic", before I use them again. Good luck EVERYONE! read more

I was very disappointed. I did not think I had a choice other than to take my car to Airport Ford, but knowing what I know now I should have had it towed to another Ford Dealership. I was shocked on how rude they were to me. I had to have a water pump replaced. I don't know if this is common for all cars but for the taurus it is a pretty time consuming job. When the car was finished they called me to let me know and to tell me that control module is broke that controls radio and heat. That will be another $600-700 dollars to fix. There was not a problem with that prior to bringing it in. They said " That sometimes just happens over time" I will never go back we had to fix a problem they created when they reassembled the car. read more

Every experience I have ever had with the Airport Ford body shop has been nothing short of aggravating. The first time I had to take my car in for repairs was after a wreck in 2011. I had purchased my car there, so it seemed natural to take it back there for repairs. Two weeks later when I picked up the car I noticed that the bumper and quarter panel had not been attached correctly. There is now a quarter inch of space between the two parts where it should be flush. In addition to this, they let paint drips dry on the newly replaced quarter panel. I brushed it off as not that big of a deal because, frankly, I was tired of waiting and just wanted the car back. Fast forward several years to my next incident with the car: I knocked off the passenger side mirror. I order the new mirror and bring the car in two days later to drop it off and have them replace it, planning to simply come back the next day and pick it up. The manager of the body shop flat out refuses to allow me to leave the car there, telling me that "he isn't going to babysit a mustang." Apparently, Airport Ford cannot be bothered to keep a customer's car safe for even one night. I truly regret coming back here and giving them the benefit of the doubt after their first shoddy repair job. read more

Worst customer services that I have ever experienced!!! I dropped my Ford Edge off the night before my appointment (at 8am the following day ) for services covered under Warrenty. I wanted a few things fixed before my Warrenty expires. At 3:30 the day of my appointment, I decided to check in to see if it was ready. Twice, I called and was put immediately on hold and never returned to. After finally speaking to a representative, my car had not even been looked at. I told him that my appointment was at 8am and I needed it for work the next day. I finally got a call at approximately 5:00 and was told that my car was ready for pick up. I asked what was done to fix my 3 concerns. I was told.... 1) we cleaned your window ( to fix a terrible squeal that had been happening since I bought the car) 2) the phone charger that only charges in certain positions was working just fine 3) my tight hood release cable was normal. So.... I took a day off work, made arrangements to be dropped off and was without my car for an entire day..... to have one of my windows cleaned!!! The squeaky window is worse than ever, my charger still works in certain positions and struggle to be able to release my own car hood. read more

Not sure which is worse, the service department of the sales department. The sales department will try to sell you the family truckster with the undercarriage protection and extended warranty, and happily put you into a payment you can't afford. Definitely fit the slimed chauvinist salesman stereotype. The service department will spend most of the time trying to upsell you on scheduled maintenance before taking all day to do an oil change and misdiagnosing a misfiring spark plug. This place is absolutely terrible, stay away. read more

This must be the worst place to take your vehicle for service. Last year my sweetheart took his truck there to get a tune up, detailed and four new tires (yeah pretty stupid). He thought he would get everything done at once since his check engine light came on. When he picked it up all that he saw done was the new tires but charged for everything. Rather then arguing excessively with the manager he left. We just got back from another garage that had to do the complete tune up saying the plugs ect were the same ones and had never been changed. Unless you are mechanically inclined don't use this place. FYI it doesn't deserve the one star read more

This is a retrospective review for the Service Department of Airport Ford I now own my mother's Ford Focus, which she purchased in a haze of patriotic responsibility to "Buy American" a year or so after 9/11. Prior to this Ford Focus, she'd always owned Hondas. And, she's always had all her service done by the dealership where she purchased her car. With her Honda, it was part of the service agreement that went along with her last lease, and with the Ford, it's just a continuation of "who" she's been since her first car purchase in 1966. You could trust dealerships and their mechanics then. But not now, at least, not the service department at Airport Ford. A brand new car shouldn't have a host of problems that one would expect from an older car, but I guess it could happen. You name it, my mom was told this Focus needed it. At one point, she needed a very simple fix and they kept her car for 2 weeks, all the while, my widowed mother had to line up rides from me and her caring friends to and from her job, for errands, even to run her dog to the vet for an emergency. No courtesy car for someone who was such a devoted customer. Each day, she called their service department to be told "they were just so backed up.." and that they would "get to it tomorrow" and that they'd be in touch "tomorrow afternoon"....TWO WEEKS!!! But, when she called to see if they could fit her in, it was "no problem at all!" It takes a lot to get my mom frustrated, but she was frustrated, so I placed a call to the manager of the service department and threatened to take the complaint higher. She moved up in the line and eventually got her car back. Then...about 8 weeks after that fiasco, the air conditioning started blowing hot air. Since this car was from 2006, only 4 years old, one would assume its freon related. Nope. Airport Ford told her it was the compressor, quoted her $750.00 to $900.00 for repair. Since she'd already had quite the season of car repairs and a host of other expenses, she declined and decided she could do without. Took my car in for the same issue four times. First time I was told nothing was wrong, three days later Ford announces a major recall on this issue, second time they still can't fix it, neither was the third trip successful. The manager of the service center is useless, one person tells you the part will be replaced and the manager claims it will never happen. I had a issue with my passenger door not latching and tried to get into the dealer where I just recently purchased the truck. That dealer showed no concern and had an attitude about the issue. I contacted Airport Ford and they got me in much sooner than the other dealer and were very apologetic for not being able to get me in sooner. This is the second occasion that I have used Airport Ford, with the first being several years ago that I just drove there because I was going out of town and had a break light that was out, they took the time to replace the bulb and did not charge me! This time that did the repair which turned out to be a Ford issue and was covered under Ford. They were very professional and very upfront about the issue. Very quick repair! My new Focus was diagnosed with a falty clutch after 10 months of purchase. Told a clutch was being ordered and could take 4 to 8 weeks. After 7 weeks called and of course was told one was in stock. So how long would they have waited to call me? The actual install was completed in 5 hours and working fine after a week of use, so that part was good. read more

Had my truck tuned up at 83,000, At 97,000 I had issue with my truck. Took it back they said I needed a tune up. They didn't know they already performed a tune up. I had a terrible start to my day when my car broke down on my way to work in 100* heat when I was 8 months pregnant. My car was towed to Airport Ford to be looked at. I talked to Mario once my car arrived at Airport Ford and from that moment my day started to turn around. He was very friendly and positive, and was cautiously optimistic that they could fix my car. I called a few hours later with questions about getting a rental car, but much to my surprise Mario informed me that my car was already fixed and ready to be picked up. I couldn't believe it.
