Although the sushi is good... their service is truly BAD! They will reach over you, as you're eating to refill soy sauce or SP. my husband and I love sushi and this place has good food. So instead we decided to order out and each time they argue or don't fill the order or blame us. This was our last order tonight. No more. There's other places with good sushi and WAY better service. I'm tired of being bullied by the service industry. In fact, one time the waiter took my glass of wine and then tried to tell me my glass was empty... and it wasn't. I'm done being told "too bad deal with it!" Please take your business elsewhere. read more

Love this place!! I come here all the time (probably all too often). Everything is so fresh. I havent had anything I don't like! Service is always great & the food comes out in a jiffy!! I've started going here over the other local sushi restaurant, Niko Niko. My personal favorites here are the bento box, sashimi is always great, and their ginger salad dressing is better than any other that i've ever had! read more

Kenzo Sushi - Lunch K-1, so fresh! - Japanese Near Me - Buford, Georgia

Kenzo's was really good and too think we almost missed it because they close at 2:30 and then open back up at 4:30pm. We had the Volcano Rolls and Shrimp Teriyaki.... Thumbs Up .... I definitely will be a repeat customer read more

Came here on the hunt for good sushi and I was definitely pleased! The experience was quite authentic (for me at least, I was just interested in eating on my break). I ordered the rainbow roll and it was served on a nice, clean board with wasabi and ginger. I haven't had good sushi in awhile and I blame that on the mall of Georgia. It was after eating here that made me realize that people can still make raw fish taste amazing. Staff and sushi chefs were super nice, too. Overall, good and affordable lunch sushi! read more

This is my very first Yelp review. Ever. Since this place is so well reviewed, I really just wanted to warn people. My husband and I are avid sushi eaters and we decided to try a new place tonight. He just picked up an assortment of rolls and sashimi and brought it home for dinner. The fish was warm... granted it was take out, but my husband was only gone 10 minutes picking it up. My dynamite roll had HAIR twisted into the center of the roll. My salmon sashimi had pieces of bone. At this point we both lost our appetites completely, and we threw away a bunch of expensive fish. I love sushi, eat it on a regular basis, and I never have complaints or spit fish out and throw the rest of my dinner away. This may easily have been the worst sushi experience I have ever had. (Other notes: Miso soup not good/off-tasting, ginger dressing tastes like mayonnaise. Ok, I'm done.) read more

Had dinner here two days ago with my son. Both of us ordered the Bento boxes. 1 chicken and 1 beef, the portions were plentiful, everything was fresh and tasty. Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes. read more

Great place for sushi! Who new that Buford adjacent would have this GEM! Excellent food and great service!

We are a regular here. Love the sushi chefs and staff. The wait is longer than some places but the food is always spot on. If you haven't tried their noodle dishes you are missing out. read more

Cute, warm place with awesome sushi. Came here on a whim on a random night. Food was delivered quickly and the flavors of the rolls didn't disappoint. Will definitely come back again. read more

Good sushi and good service! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because their nigiri and sashimi cuts of fish are rather large.

The service was awful and the waitress was very rude. She never came to our table and did not give us our change back.

Very slow service! Ordered online via the Yelp app. I was informed that my pickup time was at 6:21 pm. Got to the location at 6:20 pm, and didn't get my food until nearly 7:30 pm. There was only 1 staff member working the entire restaurant and she was hustling around, however, she had nearly 15 tables and was not able to really keep up with the service. A young girl came in right around the time I was getting my food. She was starting to pick up with the service as well, but instead of helping seat people on the open table, she went straight to cleaning up the tables that were messy. (I think that she should have helped seat other patrons instead of cleaning up the other tables. There were plenty of tables that were empty at that time). I took the order to go, as noted above. I ordered a good amount (4 rolls, sashimi appetizers (9 pieces), a chicken teriyaki dinner as well as tempura. 1) The shrimp (4 pieces) and Vegetable tempura (4 pieces) were very small. It seemed as if the items that were used for the shrimp were mini shrimps 2) the rolls ordered were: California roll, mango crunch roll, Hawaiian Sunset Roll and Dragon Roll. - The California roll was small. barely had anything inside them, and was not really enough for a meal. - Mango crunch roll was overly covered in the 'tobiko crunch', however, was pretty tasty - The Hawaiian Sunset roll had a little kick to it, as they had sliced Jalapeno peppers on top, with a spicy sauce underneath. - The dragon roll was well put together and though a very simple roll, it had some great presentation to itself. 3) the Sashimi Appetizer had a great design to it, however, was small cut pieces. Other than that, the slices were pretty tasty. 4) The Chicken Teriyaki dinner was supposed to come with fried rice, instead, they did not include any rice. The amount of chicken that was in the meal was so small that my 3-year-old ate it all. You can get more chicken in the chicken teriyaki that they serve at the mall!. Though the food was decent, the wait time was unbearable. People who were seated left after waiting over 30 minutes to get their drink order placed. A 4-some left after they were denied another chair (5th) for her broken leg, and didn't get the booth that was able to accommodate because it was meant for 6+, however a 'regular' came shortly after with 3 people and were able to sit in that booth. I hope they figure out their staffing for the future. I hope no one has to experience that kind of wait in the future. read more

So happy we stopped in today for lunch. Lunch menu had a salmon hibachi meal that, to me, was better than the usual hibachi grill places, and I could just enjoy the quiet atmosphere and conversation lunch companion instead of the usual hibachi grill show. My salmon steak was perfectly cooked, miso soup much better than the broth I've gotten at the grill places and a ginger dressing on the salad that was light and amazing. My lunch companion made a meal of appetizers and was very happy. As a local I'm not real familiar with Japanese food but my meal was fresh and delicious, perfectly prepared and served. I'll be more adventurous next time. We'll be back again for sure! read more

Great food- went with sushi. Just a little pricey compared to others but really good!

i'm giving two stars because the price of the sushi isn't bad... but i'm just not a fan of warm sushi i feel like it's not as fresh as some places read more

Very unprofessional people, my husband is an uber driver and they weren't even busy and not ready and kept him waiting 23 minutes, He wasn't even greeted when he entered. read more

Justine B. I'm in the parking lot waiting for them to open because I forgot they close for 2 hours. Anyway...I was going to look at their menu when I noticed your 1 Star Review. There is a simple way to fix your problem with this restaurant. Stop going there! Lol. There always that one negative guy that doesn't get something his way; and then has to go and talk trash. Don't go away mad; just go away. read more

Service was horrible. She was also extremely disrespectful and charged us extra and already added a $5 on a table of 3. ridiculous. Food was cold and not even worth the trip. I will never be returning. Do better. read more

I'm from Seattle so I was a little wary to try sushi down here, but I was not disappointed. Everything tasted good and fresh. We ordered a lot of food, spring rolls were good, gyoza was good, edamame, California roll, spicy tuna roll, and eel roll were all great. We will be back read more

The Sushi here is really really good. This is a regular and reliable place for us. We visit frequently. Its convenient, not overpriced, and clean. The only.reason I can't give it 5 stars is the service. They are very friendly, but are usually way understaffed. If the place is even 1/2 full, expect to wait longer than you should to get your food. Please hire more wait staff!!! read more

My new favorite spot! Absolutely delicious and super friendly service! A must try if your in the mood for yummy sushi!

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant. We eat here several times monthly. The seaweed salad and sashimi are very fresh. We love the shrimp tempura appetizer, the dancing eel roll, the bento box with shrimp terrakyi and fried rice, the chicken fried rice, and of course the chicken, steak, shrimp and scallop hibachi dinners. They do not have a hibachi grill, so everything is prepared for you elsewhere, but the flavor of the dishes is spectacular. I love their ginger salad and miso soup too! I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is! Don't go there if you are in a rush. There are usually only two servers to cover the entire restaurant. They are hard-working and always as attentive as they can possibly be when every table is full on a Friday or Saturday night. So be patient and wait for your taste buds to be delighted! read more

Ordered via yelp app for a take out order. Their sushi is definitely one of my favorites by bar. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Will definitely go back for a visit again, it's been while since I have been for a visit. read more

Have gotten carry-out many times. Sometimes food is great. More frequently orders are overcooked and items are missing from order. Like rice!! Just today, again. So while food gets cold we have to drive back for fried rice. If they cannot get more consistent, time to look for another place. read more

Delicious, perfect sushi and bento boxes. Orders take a little time to make, but that's a good thing- you know that everything is truly made to order. The fish was super fresh, too. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

This place was soo good and the food came out fresh, hot and quickly. The staff is very friendly also. My new #1 sushi place.

Ordered takeout via Yelp. Order was ready when walked in the door! Sushi was great. Miso soup great. Will order again very soon!

Bad customer service . Take my drink order 10 minutes. Only 1 waitress was working as a server. I understand she is a little busy, but she never apologized about late. When she brought a my food, she never said anything. No friendly at all. I think she is not a server. She is food runner or something. She does not want tip. Food is just ok. Not too bad or very good. I know same or higher quality sushi restaurant with definitely higher customer service. I probably will not come back. read more

Sushi was great but everything else was not only over priced but peppered beyond belief. Got a $150 lesson on why to never go back. Better off going to real hibachi read more

The prices are higher than other spots in the area. Been here a few times already. The best dish I had here was the Tuna Tataki. But none of the rolls made me want to try it again. I had the Kenzo chef rolls and etc. The rolls are large there, which I thought would be great. But not a good fit, cant talk or may fall apart read more

We decided to drive out to the new sushi place Google found for us. With all of the stellar reviews, we had to try it out. I ordered the chicken hibachi, which was actually pretty tasty. My girlfriend ordered the filet and shrimp and also thought that it was pretty good. We also ordered several rolls and a few pieces. None of the rolls stood out (so much that I don't remember what they were called) and the pieces were "ok" quality. For the price, it wasn't worth it. read more
