If your expectations are low, and you like frozen, re-heated food, you'll probably like this place. I got ill the next morning after eating a piece of fried chicken and coleslaw. My friends got their food to-go, and when they looked in the Styrofoam box of food, it had been half-eaten by someone. I have been here a couple of times and have had a decent experience. However, this visit was the worst. I ordered 2 Fried catfish sandwiches a order of onion rings, and a 3 piece chicken dinner. What they called catfish was so thin you can almost see through it. The onion rings were also not worth the money it was 4 soggy pieces in a bag. The chicken and so called fish seam as though they were fried together in old oil. The staff could also be a little friendlier. read more

I'm usually very fond of them. Tuesday however the "c" team was working. I tried calling in my order but kept getting a busy signal ( giving me the impression that they were very busy) when I arrived it was almost empty. Then I usually enjoy the liver dinner, but this time something went wrong, they were crisp all the way to the core. Not enjoyable at all. I'm hoping that this was a one time event. read more

Very nice staff. Fried pork chop was good. Shrimp had a bitter taste, not sure why. Food was mainly just ok. Definitely needs updating.

Here's why these guys are getting 5 stars: 1. Price: you will typically spend between 6-8 dollars, but you are getting 1.5 to 2 times the quantity compared to what you get at any other restaurant. 2. Quality: I am a born and raised southerner from GA, and I know when I am eating quality southern foods. With that in mind; this is the real deal folks. Whether you order fried chicken, or anything else, it is just top notch. Yes; there might be a little room for improvement, but not much. 3. Service is above average. Since this is a family owned place, they do the best they can. Also, I think it kind of pays them a compliment that they are so busy. 4. Prompt delivery of food: on an average I wait 15 minutes for food. Sometimes much less. You just can't beat it. 5. Lastly, the variety of items on the menu. I enjoy Kent's every now and then! They have great Mac & Cheese and everything has a home feel to it! They have a club sandwhich that is absolutely delicious and their sweet tea is the best i've tasted in a long time! Best thing about it is its less than 10 dollars per person! & On wednesday you get 20 chicken wings for 6 dollars or 10 Chicken fingers for 8 & add a box of fries for 4 dollars!
