The doctor knew I was working out with heavy weights - we had discussed it when I had my cataract surgery. He asked me if I was working out with heavy weights. I told him I was. As I am getting older I am trying to maintain my muscle mass. He told be to stop. I questioned his idea of lifting light weights for many reps. I told him that current studies said that was a waste of time. This is when he became nasty. "I obviously don't know what I'm talking about. I've only been doing this for 30 years." Ironically I injured my bicep just after that and had to take two months off from weight lifting and my eye didn't improve. I changed ophthalmologists. I went to see an associate at Dr. Colvard-Kandavel's office. A large, well run office. The doctor I saw there, as well as Dr. Colvard, said my weight lifting had nothing to do with it.

I was apprehensive about doing the surgery so I did many hours of research and had consultations with other highly reputable surgeons. But I found that none of them came close to Dr. Devgan in terms in knowledge and experience. After all, he is The Cataract Coach and has performed over 40,000 surgeries, including many for other ophthalmologists. Plus he spent a great deal of time during my consultation reviewing my images taken in his office, discussing lens options, explaining the surgery process, and patiently answering my many questions. Dr. Devgan loves what he does and his passion is evident when you meet with him. Additionally, everyone on his staff is very pleasant and professional. And Dr. Devgan gives his patients his email and cell number so we can contact him with any questions. I texted him on three occasions and he responded immediately! And in each case, he gave me very thorough answers to my questions. It was very comforting to know that he was always just a text away. I don't know of any other doctor who is so available to their patients. Dr Devgan recommended the Alcon Vivity in both eyes for me and my surgeries went well with no issues. They were both quick and painless and everything went smoothly at the Surgical Center. He came over and talked to me before I went into the operating room which I appreciated. I am very happy with the results. I requested the focus be set at near/intermediate, and I was OK wearing glasses for distance. I use a mild reader for fine print, my intermediate is perfect, and my distance is better than I expected. I can drive in the daytime without glasses, so I just I need them for driving at night. And there is very minimal halos and glare at night; much less than before surgery. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Devgan as my surgeon. I will not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family because I know they will be in excellent and very skilled hands!

Terrible, terrible doctor I am a dentist and in medical…read morefield. I would never write one star review for anyone in medical field, unless I was so confident that this doctor was negligent and in malpractice. He is terrible. I had the worst experience in my life with him. Which I can't call him a doctor, I am more comfortable to call him demon Samimi, not doctor. He entered my life like a devil. My ophtalmologist had me to go to him, since after a hit to my eyes a very small portion of the swelling still existed. I was not planing to do anything, since it was shrinking and almost gone, but this ophtalmologist Dr David Paikal got so persistent for me to go to this supposedly Ocluplastic surgeon to see if anything could be done to remove the very tiny swelling. On my consultation, Samimi immediately said, it's filler and there is an enzyme that can dissolve it. I was happy that it had an easy solution. They scheduled me for the following week for my procedure. When He entered the room, I realized that he was in a very bad mood. I asked him, why he was in bad mood. He said the patient he just saw came with a few family members and asking many questions, which he already had answered those questions. Obviously very impatient doctor, that can easily loose his temper. After finishing the injection. He said he has to get fat from my legs and inject to my eyelids. I was shocked what he was saying, which we haven't discussed about that, and was not part of the plan, and asked him why, he just left the room quickly. When I got home, I saw all my eyelids are so swollen, red and the skin turned dark, which I have a very fair skin. There was also a deep, dark hollow below my eyelids, the tissue were sinked inside and some area were even darker like a hole. I called and talked to his staff Jimmy. Jimmy asked me to take some photos and email them. I told Jimmy obviously he dissolved the fat on my eyelids . At the end of the day this demon Samimi called and was apologetic, was saying he sympathize with me. Apology and sympathy doesn't help me and won't make my eyes to go to the way they used to be. The staff called me a few times to setup appointment for him to see me, of course I wouldn't go back to him after this shitty work. It's almost 40 days after the procedure and I have been trying to set up appointment with a few other Ocluplastic surgeons. They all ask me to take photos and email them, so far they all refused to see me, they just sent me email, saying the doctor can't help me. I believe, they know this case turn to lawsuit and they don't want to be part of the law suit, or witness. Therefore, they don't even want to have a consultation with me. I am so traumatized and frustrated and can't find any other doctor that can help me. I have been suffering a lot b/o this situation. The process for lawsuit we all know is a few years and I can't live this way with what this incompetent, supposedly doctor created on my eyes. To me he is not a doctor, he is a demon The second day after the procedure again this demon called me and left a message, saying we will see each other. Seems like, he knew no other doctor would accept me. And I might forced to go back to him, but over my dead body. Please Never go to this doctor, all he does just damage. I don't believe these reviews and before and after photos. We all know what these advertising companies can do with AI, I believe they are all AI and fake Well I will file complaint all different organization. Even if I have to travel to a different country to take care of my eyes, I would consider doing that. I just recommend to STAY away from him and his practice Dr Marjan Garmestani DDS
