Twelve years ago, Ken designed a quality built-in combination bookshelf/file drawers/computer desk (hereon out referred to as cabinets) for our den based on my design input. It took up one whole wall and wrapped around about 6' feet on the adjacent wall (no more room because of the door). It is beautiful and I have loved it ever since he built it. Unfortunately, last week, my washing machine flooded part of the house, and the room with my cabinets was one of them. The cabinets were unscathed, but the hardwood floor beneath them had to come out. The demolition crew who came in to remove the floor had to carefully disassemble my cabinets. The head crew member kept telling me these were really fine cabinets and he wanted to store them properly so they wouldn't get damaged. When he left for the day, he said, "I don't know who built your cabinets, but he did a really fantastic job." He went on to say that he disassembles stuff all day long, and you can tell when something is very well made, and these are very well made. However, I knew that all along! Sorry it took my house flooding to give Ken his props! read more
