We wanted to replace most of our house window blinds with Hunter Douglas motorized shades , since it's going to be expensive we wanted to choose someone knowledgeable & should have local business after going through all the reviews on Yelp we decided Closets & Beyond. Glad we decided to go with Michael !!! It was easy setting appointment with Michael we decided the day & time for measurements & choosing the correct window screens. Michael came with the catalog & suggested various options which helped us not only in deciding but also staying in our budget. Micheal kept us informed once the order was placed & the estimated time of delivery which was not that long within few weeks our screens were ready for installation. On the day of installation Michael brought Alex ( helper/co installer) who did the work meticulously .... Not only the installation was done quickly but the packages/boxes were disposed very neatly ( they took all the garbage with them) I didn't have to do any cleanup every thing was handled very nicely which made the entire process very smooth. After installing all the screens Micheal found problem with 2 screens, one of the screen had damaged from the factory & one screen measurement was little off ( it was few inches more) so immediately Micheal took action & coordinated that with the Hunter Douglas team. Again the order was placed for both the screens without any charges to me. I had the kitchen window screen changed too after few days since I didn't prefer our early measurement ( I have titles near the window) wanted little long so Michael took the measurement again & reordered it ... again no extra cost for it... Once the 3 screen arrived Micheal informed us & finished the final installation of the screens ... again very professional & clean work didn't had to do anything after they left. Micheal double checked all the screens once again & after his satisfaction he made us go through all the screens shade levels. Micheal explained how to operate the battery's manually as well as from the App . Micheal made sure all the screens are connected to our HD Apps. We love our new shades it's so easy to do it from the App or manually whichever we prefer. Finally one of our window (Plantation Shutters ) has an arch above it so needed some shutters for that space... since it was custom order shutter it took really long time... delay was from Hunter Douglas factory they really made us wait for more then 2 months. Finally it arrived & Michael along with Alex completed the remaining installation. Throughout this whole process Micheal was always very prompt via txt msg or calls, we are very happy & satisfied with Micheal service. We will definitely use Micheal service again in the future for any window shade or closet. Thanks Michael & Alex for doing fabulous job at our home & treating our home as yours too ... always left very neat!! read more

I recently did my windows with Michael and the results were pretty amazing! The shutters and motorized shades have given the rooms a completely new look. The shades keep the heat and sun out of the area and allow more functionality to the room during hot days. The turnaround was quite quick with about a month from order to install. The installation was done very efficiently. Price was reasonable for the quality of the product and the service. Can't wait to get the rest of the house done! read more

When our original closet collapsed, we called Closets and Beyond, and Michael came to the rescue the very next day. After three weeks, his team arrived to install the custom closet, and the results were beyond our expectations. The craftsmanship is impeccable, and the new closet not only looks beautiful but also maximizes our storage space. The entire experience, from design to installation, was smooth and professional. Called for a quote and ended up looking no further. Michael was so pleasant to work with. After ordering he stayed in contact, updated me often, and as soon as the materials came in he was there to install. He went above and beyond by installing additional flooring as ours fell short of the closet and even installed a beautiful molding to finish the look. The materials are very high quality. Prices are about average but for the quality of material I think the price was reasonable. This was the closet we designed. read more

Michael was very professional and responsive to us. He's knowledgeable about this line of work and easy to work with. We'd have a vision, and he'd readily have examples to show us which would help in our final decisions. My husband used to work in construction, and Michael was super accommodating to his preferences. He also fixed our broken plantation shutters for free while another quoted us have them all replaced! Needless to say, we're happy with our beautiful new custom closet, and we have more projects lined up for him. read more

Michael from Closets and Beyond just finished a second project for 2x closets in my house. Working with Michael was my first time hiring a contractor to do work in my house. I had nothing to worry about with Closets and Beyond. We got all our windows and custom closets for our new home in Danville done from Michael. It was very easy to schedule an appointment with Michael. He is very responsive and easy to communicate with. We got hunter douglas shutters, roller shades and automatic roller shades for a few rooms done and are very happy with the quality of workmanship and product. Michael had great suggestions too to help us decide on the kind of window treatments we should be getting. Michael also helped us with the design ideas for all the custom closets. He made recommendations based on available space and we love how the closets look while also focusing on perfect space utilization. The quality of material and hardware used is great and we are very satisfied with the outcome. Michael is very friendly and very easy to reach anytime you have questions. We got quotes from multiple window treatment companies and Michael's quote was very competitive with better quality shades so we decided to go with him and are glad we did! From start to finish the entire project was completed very timely as promised by Michael. Overall very happy with the results and definitely recommend Michael for both window treatment or custom closet projects!! read more

Michael and his help (Alex) were very professional and respectful of my home. He listened to my desires and helped as I have a small home. Storage and organization is key to me. The closets are real wood. This is not cheap material or particle wood. I love the finish as well. Michael said he is very detailed oriented. I have heard this from so many people I've interviewed, but he really is! My home looked as good and clean as when He and Alex arrived! I'm posting many photos as I am super happy with my finished product. I have dreamed of having organized closets for a long time. Long overdue review but better later than never! We contacted Closets & Beyond to give us a quote for shutters for all of our windows and Michael was able to schedule us right away. He was very helpful in helping us make some decision, while keeping his professionalism. There was a manufacture delay in shipping our shutters and blinds (not at all his fault) and he kept us updated the whole time. When our order finally arrived, the installation was fairly quick. He definitely spent extra time helping us set the perfect settings for the motorized blinds and making sure we were happy with everything. I highly recommend this company for your shutters/blinds solution! read more

Michael and his team were referred to us by a neighbor through the NextDoor app. We were looking for a company to install custom cabinets in our home office and we didn't want to go the cheap route of IKEA or Closet World. The finished product leaves me awestruck. Meticulous work from start to finish, professionalism all the way and a lifetime guarantee on their work. We couldn't have asked for better service or higher quality cabinets. Thank you, Michael! read more

Michael was fast and extremely helpful. I had a broken motorized shade installed by a competitor who would not help me with the issue. Michael was in the area when I called. He came over within 10 min of finishing his current appointment. He was able to identify that the shade needed to be sent to the manufacturer and called them on my behalf. He got me pre-paid shipping labels and a repair order all set up with them. He spent about 30 min with me and wouldn't take any payment for his time. Thanks! read more

You get what you pay for. They aren't cheap but the product, customer service and installation was exceptional. The black out honey comb blinds we had installed inside the plantation shutters are concealed, perfectly measured and professional! I had an unrelated issue with a wall mounted baby gate. Writing somewhat different from what others have said before. When I first Michael I was kind of hesitant in giving my new house work for blind and closest installations. However, after a couple of interactions, I was driven away by the depth of this knowledge and intent to make my house beautiful. We purchased a newly built home earlier this year and had a clean slate to work with. We initially contacted Michael to get a quote on installing shades/shutters in our home. He came over in his van with several large sample books and spent quite a while us discussing options. We ended up choosing Hunter Douglas Duolite automatic honeycomb shades in our master bedroom, pull-down honeycomb shades in our spare rooms, automatic roller shades in our living room, dining room and kitchen and finally, shutters in our master bathroom and guest closet. We also had Michael do built-ins in our master closet, three guest rooms closets, pantry and hall closet. He worked with us to design something that would suit our needs in each space. All the materials are excellent quality. Michael does very through and clean work, making sure everything is clean and tidy after install. He's come back a few times to adjust some shelves/rods for us and has assured us that we can call him anytime in the future for adjustments. Would definitely recommend using Michael for your closet and window treatments! read more
