I talked to Kenny on Friday morning, and he'd told me he'd have the parts for my 2020 Sierra Denali 6.2 engine on Monday. They are notorious for having lifter problems. I brought my truck in on Monday morning at 8 am as agreed. No parts as of Wednesday. He had torn the motor apart and told me his supplier refused his credit card and did not send him the parts. He then made excuses for his lack of follow-up for not having the parts. When I questioned him on Wednesday why the delay, he told me I was "pressuring him". I told him to put the motor back together and not to do any more work on it after seeing how he did business. He got angry and claimed he would never work on another 2020. He told me they "had made changes" on the 6.2 motor. I would assume a guy who owns an auto repair business would be aware of any changes on vehicles three years old, but not Kenny. At no time was he apologetic about the delay and his lack of follow up to get the parts. He had assured me on Friday the parts would be there on Monday and that the job would be finished within three days. I picked up my Sierra Denali on Thursday afternoon just before he closed his shop. I was charged for tearing my engine apart and putting it back together again with no new parts for improvement like we had originally agreed upon. I heard about this shop from my brother and sister a few years ago and how much they liked their work. Before that I used to bring my vehicles for the past few decades to my uncle who lived nearby in Reading. He was one of the most knowledgeable mechanics you could ever meet. Not to mention being reliable, fair, and honest. He was known far and wide for his reputation. After he retired I started bringing my truck to Kenny's for repairs. I have to say, I never met anyone else besides these two guys that could compare to my now late uncle as far as their workmanship. They tell you what your vehicle's diagnosis is, and what you need done. Period. No pushy add-ons that you don't need, no inflated repair bills because of this or that. After the work is all done they call you up and tell you over the phone exactly how much it's going to cost right down to the penny. If there's another issue concerning your vehicle they might find, they'll let you know and what your options are, there's no pressuring you like some other chain repair establishments I won't get into. I couldn't believe how fast they got around to fixing my vehicle, and how decent a price for parts and labor they charged me. These guys will treat you right, they don't talk down to you, and they won't give you the runaround. When you find a great mechanic as they say, stick with them. read more

Hi. When I moved to Winchester 20 years ago I asked the local Barber if there are any mechanics that he would recommend. He Highly Recommended Kenny. I have been with him ever since. His level of professionalism and his Always Positive attitude, and willingness to work on my older vehicles have made him a huge Asset to me. In addition to all that Kenny and Neil are Great guys. The new shop is always spotless and they always get the job done on time and at a fair price. There have actually been times that the price seemed too low. I used these guys for the first time this week based on the reviews on Yelp. Being new to the area, I was looking for a place I could trust that wouldn't rip me off like I have been in the past. I knew that my vehicle needed serious repairs that would normally take 2 days in the shop so I was willing and ready to pony up the cash (they only accept cash/check, no credit cards). When I got a call that my car was ready in about half the time later that night, I couldn't believe it. But not as much as I couldn't believe how much less my bill was from the initial quote I got. These guys were fantastic to work with. They called before any repairs were made and were very easy to talk to. They tell you how it is and are very honest. Great communication throughout the process. I would have no problem recommending them to any one else in need of auto repairs. Cheap, great work, friendly, honest, and fast. My parents and nephews have used Kenny's Auto in the past. Needed a few repairs done to my car. Made an appt, dropped my car off with a list of what I thought needed to be looked at. He called me and told me what he found with all 5 things I listed. He told me how much each thing would cost to fix and how long each one would take to fix. The total of his estimate was actually A LOT lower than I had expected. He said it would be between $900.00 and $950.00. I asked him if he would have time to fix everything that day, and gave him the ok to fix everything. He called me a few hours later to say everything was fixed, and the total was $845.00!! I picked up my car, and cannot believe how good it runs. I would (and do) highly recommend them to anyone and everyone! Completely up front, honest and reliable. I called Kenny's Auto & they took the car in within a reasonable amount of time, called me with the estimate, and I told them to go ahead & do the repair.
