Someone took my car for a drive, came back, and he said to me "your brakes are fine, I don't know what you think you're hearing. Bring it back if it gets worse." They didn't actually even LOOK at the brakes like I had requested. I was still concerned about my car and knew there was something wrong, and brought it to a different shop. This place actually looked at the car as well as drove it and found that needed all new front brakes, calipers, and struts. Well over $1000 worth of work. I'm glad I was able to give that place my money with their efforts and thoroughness. I will never bring my car to Smooth Automotive again.

The website instructed me to call the location to make sure the tires were in stock. I called and reached the call center which then connected me to the Medford location. They confirmed they had the tires in stock. I showed up for my appointment and encountered not greeted by Shawn the manager. He said he was not going to make me happy because they didn't have my tires in stock. I could either upgrade my tire choice or come back the next day. He checked the online bookings that morning and didn't call me to inform me that they weren't in stock because, "he had a day." I can't decide if his demeanor was just rude or just totally devoid of any customer service at all. I reluctantly agreed to a more expensive option since I took the afternoon off from work and just wanted to get it done. The shop was running behind which can be expected but when he came into the waiting area after an hour he called me and another customer to the desk and told us he had bad news for us both. Basically the other man's car needed additional work so he had to pay more for additional repairs and then he turned and told me that because of that man I was being pushed out much longer. At that point, I asked for my keys and walked out. His parting words were, "if that's what you want to do then fine." I felt like I was in an alternate universe the entire time I was there. My recommendation is to save yourself time and aggravation by taking your car to someone who wants the business.

But I'm trying to save money usually when I go in for an auto repair. I've got a 10-year-old german car and no garage to do my own repairs in. If you ask, you'll get good advice from the mechanics here. If you don't, they put your part in and let you be. It's a good, honest, affordable shop here and I've been very happy with the service.

Brought my car to a different shop once for a small service and then to his shop a month later for alignment and wheel rotation. Turned out my tires had practically no tread left and risked a blowout. It wasn't visible without a lift due to the dealership selling the car with the wheels on a larger negative camber. Other shop didn't say anything about it but glad I brought it in because I was traveling out of state frequently at that time. Saved me from a blowout on the highway. Only shop I trust to not just do the service needed at the moment but looking out for other issues or what to expect down the road.
