They did a great job and they give a lengthy warranty for their work! One of the properties we manage had a roof leak and we called around for estimates. This company's pricing is very reasonable although not the cheapest, but they came recommended so we awarded the contract to them. Bill the owner sent 2 guys to do the work and they were very nice skillful and hardworking. You can tell they have done this a million times and knew what they were doing. After 2.5 days of work they finished the job: redid a section of the roof. It looked really good and our GC also affirmed that they did a good job. Overall a very good experience. Pro tip: skilled roofers are busy, like this crew. Sometimes they are not able to come immediately due to other jobs, you may have a wait several days. Personally I would not hire a roofer that's just sitting around all day with no business. read more

Bill is the owner and takes personal care to stand by the work of his team. I had a large patio roof hot mopped and the team did a great job and cleaned up each day when they were done. I had a minor issue afterwards that Bill came back and repaired at no cost. He is a person of his word and cares about his clients. I've referred him to friends that have also been pleased with his team's work. Give your business to a small business owner with integrity. Highly recommend!! Thanks, Bill!! read more

Over the years, I have had many roof installations done on numerous properties, with some good and some not so good experiences... But I have never had such a positive experience as I had with Kennedy Roofing on my flat roof mid-century modern home in La Mesa. Bill Kennedy came in with a very very competitive bid on the job and he came out several times to review exactly what needed to be done. The challenges included multiple levels of roofline, removing metal cladding on the trim done in previous roof install, and after waiting for weeks for the rains to stop, and then having to deal with several evenings of unexpected, heavy mist. As work commenced on the job, it became obvious why Marlon has remained on as Bill Kennedy's crew chief for 29 years... this guy gets to the job site before anybody else, and even earlier on Mondays to scope out the progress and his crew follows his lead...a break for lunch, but otherwise it's serious business from start to finish each day. and what a surprise not to have to listen to loud music all day, and when they leave for the day, the cleanup is so good that it looks like nobody has been there. They are a good experience, easy to work with, and competitively priced... And if you don't include them in your search for bids, you will be doing yourself quite a disservice. Thank you Bill, Marlon and the crew. Now we're ready for a solar installation. read more

Bill Kennedy and Kennedy roofing did a fantastic job today. They worked on my outdoor patio roof here in Escondido and did a fantastic job. Myron, the lead worker, was just the nicest guy ever and answered all the questions I needed. And, looking at the finished product, the crew really did a good job and I am very glad I went with Kennedy roofing. I'm excited for the rain now - thanks guys! read more

I can't say enough good things about these guys. Bill and his team were such professionals. Easy to work with, prompt and polite, they were the most affordable option and also the most professional. They got the job done quickly too with no inconvenience to those of us living under the roof they were working on. After the project was done, we had another rain storm and a leak developed (not in an area of their work but somewhere we asked them to repair). Bill and his team came out the next day and did the work over to get it right. We are very appreciative of them and would recommend them hands down. read more

When our church needed a new roof on our 4000 sf office/classroom flat-roof building, we got bids from 5 roofers. Kennedy was not only low bidder, he gave us good advice in the bidding process. We have a year-round preschool in that building, and Kennedy agreed to work around their schedule. Foreman Myron and crew were friendly and professional and worked hard during the hot weather. They kept the job-site spic & span. Bill Kennedy and Kennedy Roofing are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them. read more

Have experience with this business? Write a Review. asli a. Ratings_icons Very Bad Experience asli a. 1 Kennedy Roofing Hi, We had a leak and our roof needed to be repaired . I have found Kennedy Roofing by searching online. When I called, they were very friendly and we have scheduled a time to meet. The sales person was very nice and helpful and he took notes while we were doing the walk thru. He recommended that one part of the roof had to be replaced with the new one and he would also do a walk thru the roof to make sure patch some places if necessary. We really liked him so we have decided to go with his company. We picked the roof material and set up a time. On the scheduled date, I came home early from work to take the dogs, that way the workers would work without my dogs disturbing them and when I came back to the house, the roof was not done, and apparently the crew never showed up. When I called the sales person he apologised but they forgot to assigned the crew. We scheduled another date, this time they fixed the roof, done deal. The next day, I walked to the side of my house, I could not believe what I saw. The stuff that was on the old roof was thrown on the side of my house and some of the stepping stones were broken. I took a picture and sent the picture to the sales person and he apologized and he said that he would talked to his guys.I ended up cleaning the yard. Furthermore, couple days later it rained and my roof started to leak again and when I called him he said that he would send someone to take a look at it. When the person came by he said that that area was not covered on the bid!! So, they wanted to charge me more to repair the new roof that they put on. I am very upset with the service that I have received. If you do not want to have a headache, I would not recommend this company. read more

This place just gave me the run around. I have been calling them and asking them to finish the second part of the properties roof and I just keep getting "I was on vacation and I will send you an estimate." They did a good job on the first part but I have no idea why they are giving me the run around. Just be straight up and say no you can't do it or don't want to do it. So I finally received a call back this morning and the owner was really apologetic for not responding so I'm giving him another chance for doing a pretty good job on the first portion of the building. I will give more stars if the job good when completed. The job is well done and Myron is awesome. Did a a very good job on the roof! Will hire again when needed. read more

Kennedy roofing went out of their way to get our repairs done ASAP when we saw the rains were coming. Customer service from their team was awesome! Reasonable prices and quality work with prompt and polite team members! What more can you ask for! read more

We had observed Kennedy doing roof work for our neighbor and asked Bill by for an estimate to re-roof our 100 year old historic home. Bill was very professional and his estimate came in well under other estimates we had received. The work was done on time and exactly on estimate. Their crew was professional, and Myron and Luke, leaders of the crew, were helpful and courteous. Our general contractor went up on the roof to inspect their work, and was impressed with what he saw and with their quote. He plans on using them for future jobs, too. If you are considering getting work done on your roof, take advantage of the $100 for $200 voucher on Yelp, and call Bill. They do quality work, professionally, on time, and at great prices. read more

Put on a new roof but has not followed through on some of his promises unfortunately. Wish I could give 5 stars.

This might sound strange, but I had no work done by this company. I have however had the pleasure of watching them work all this week on a building right across the street from me. They have worked from 7 am to 5 pm for the last six days. They only stop for lunch. They are not loud. They are respectful of the neighbor's. I have seen a lot of roofing done in my neighborhood over the last fifty years. The work is very, very good. I have not seen one shortcut. They have not left a mess behind any of the days. Good workers that work well together. If I ever need roofing done, or have to recommend a roofing company it will be them! read more

If you are looking for something to be completed with a deadline or timely manner, do not use this company. I have had an appointment for my roof for over a week with him and he scheduled me for today, Friday. I called yesterday, and the day before to make sure he was coming and Bill said yes. I just received a phone call from his assistant that he has to cancel because he is up north, 1 hour before the appointment started. At this point Bill is unreachable. This was a huge waste of time. Nice guy, bad businessman read more

It's really upsetting and disappointing that when you get an offer on the roof they include and promise you all these things including wind mitigation inspection and then once the sale is done and they finish your roof. They leave you with no communication. Then you have to go out your way and call even from the beginning. No callbacks are ever kept to promise. Then the promises that they made were never true. I rather you tell me what I have and not lie about what's included in my package. I'm a first time young homeowner and it's saddens me that we get taken advantage of instead of educated. Please do not trust this company. I do not recommend to anyone. Shop else were for your roof. It's never good to put someone who's already in a bad situation and screw them over. It's sad. read more

I highly recommend Kennedy Roofing. They completely saved us the day before Thanksgiving when no other roofing company was available. We had a bad leak in our roof and the water was coming into our kitchen. We put a call into them and they immediately came out to fix it. They were extremely polite, quick and left our backyard spotless. I can't recommend them enough!! read more

Kennedy roofing was the sub-contractor for an addition at our home approximately 4 years ago. They did a great job back then and had to tie in a new shingle roof into an existing roof. We could barely tell the difference. Over the last four years we've had zero issues. I contacted them on Monday to get some dormer vents installed on our old roof as we have very inadequate ventilation and we are planning on getting a whole house fan. A crew was here first thing today to get the installation done. They installed three dormer vents and did a fantastic job. Furthermore, they were courteous, professional and clean. Besides the new vents you could not tell they were here. The price for the install was also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them based on my experiences. read more

They were a no show. I bought house that was roofed by them and the warranty transferred over to me when I purchased the house. I am having an issue and I wanted them to come out and take look, they said they would be out monday afternoon, so I made arrangements with my work to be around for them to stop by, called them in the morning to confirm, and then they never showed up. Now their phone goes straight to voicemail which is full. How professional... and they wasted my time. So much for that "warranty." read more

This was a painless, reasonable experience with a contractor. I had 3 bids and this was the last and least expensive of all, so I had a lot of questions based on the first two bids. Everything the other bids covered, I asked about and were also covered. Been burned before, so I was skeptical. But Bill K. is a bit of a roofing nerd, takes his business very seriously and gave me a roofing 101 course. He 'forced' me to look at the samples on the roof itself to determine color, I am glad I did, as I would have chosen otherwise if I did it my way. The job took the 2 days as promised and everything seemed to be done in order. He again 'made' me walk through and pointed out everything the bid mentioned and how the whole roof system worked. More than I wanted to know, but I am again happy I did. I would recommend this guy. read more

William Kennedy is a delight to work with, and his roofers are courteous and professional. Highly recommended!

I was told about him as a referral from a friend who had some work done a while ago and was excited to work with him. He seemed pretty nice but a bit of a know it all. I don't know if there was some communication problems between us, but he was not getting what I wanted and didn't seem to want to listen to me. He seemed like he was a nice guy but unfortunately things did not turn out as well as I would have liked. read more

I met with Bill at my unit in SMB and spent quite some time discussing the leaks and possible solutions. Bill left with the promise to email me the quote in 3 days but I had not received it. I called him on the 3rd day and he promised again to send me the quote that day but here it is 2 more days later and still no quote. I may have given him 5 stars for the work because he seemed very knowledgeable but who knows now? read more

We researched and got multiple quotes...Not only did Kennedy Roofing give us the best service and value but gave us the truth about what really WAS and WAS NOT required....Great pricing and superb service. We had a unique, 1910 North Park bungalow with multiple old roofs that needed removal before the new roof could be placed. Excellent cleanup daily as work was proceeding and wonderful workers. All work completed within the timeframe promised. read more

Very impressed with Bill. I purchased an older home and am unsure of what is a current problem and what is damage from an older roof issue. I called Kennedy Roofing to help me determine if I had a problem. I spoke with Bill and he fit me into his schedule the next day. He examined the possible problem and told me it is most likely older damage, but to check on it during the next heavy rain. He quoted me what I consider to be a reasonable price if the repair needed to be completed at a later date. He did not try to scare me into making a repair that he considered unnecessary, at this point. Great customer service!! Will definitely call the company again if I have any problem. read more
