5 stars Came in to…read moresee family and found this spot of goodness as we drove up RT-9 looking for a place to eat after a 7 hr drive. This place is friggen GREAT... The atmosphere, the tables, service, the food, everything was very good. Good sized menu with many options.. Different areas of the restaurant have different set ups. We were in the bar area. Service was top notch. The free bread and bruschetta is house made and highly recommended. Mrs had the Reuben (shocker)- liked it a lot. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was excellent. Moist not greasy, coating was spot on. Honestly, one of the best I've had. Wife had two lemon-drops and 3 domestic beers for me. No appetizers $77 pre-tip. Which I thought was very reasonable. We are here through the weekend and plan on coming back tomorrow. Longest review ever- sorry We're back 2 days later because of a snow storm and the day prior, there was standing room only. Note to everyone- get there early.. I have no idea how I didn't know about this place in my many trips back home after I moved away. Back in the bar area. Service was once again spot on. Somewhat quiet today. Good happy hour deals. Mrs Reuben went 180 on me and ordered the Parmesan encrusted chicken- which is good cuz I'll get some. Chicken was tender, and really nice sauce. Ample portion I got the Mac n' Cheese because she said I had to try something new. (Happy wife- happy life)" really good, large size / could split it. Very cheesy. Little extra salt for both was a good touch. It was a rather stressful weekend (we're loosing a family member) we had the two entries, shared a soup, and 3 martini/ drinks each- $125. Which again, for the wonderful decompression space, service and food, is a very reasonable price. On the way out my wife got two canopies- $8. And our bartender came running after us because my wife left her headphones. THANK YOU

Simple drinks, nothing fancy (looking at ya Night and Day bar) . Lately even usual places cut drastically on their alcohol in the drinks ( Taxas road house completely forgot to put any tequila in their margaritas, and that's a shame) But, food... when I order ahi acid tuna I want it raw and seared on the sides. Not cooked. It came well done, and thats never heard for an ahi ahi in my world. P.s. espresso martini was the tastiest of all cocktails. That i would recommend.

What a Disappointment!!! The whole experience was a crying…read moreshame! Not only for us, and the other customers, but for the owners as well. Made a reservation for 7:30 PM. We received an email, that they would be doing a soft opening November 1st. We were really looking forward to a Spanish meal! When we arrived, the place was packed! Usually, a positive sign. Apparently, we weren't the only ones, that received the E-mail. We let the bartender know that we had a reservation, the answer was pretty much; see if you can find a seat. First off - they should change the name from Flores Tapas to Flores - burger and taco shack. Based on the "new" menu. It's very sad - because it's neither "fish nor fowl". Is it Mexican street food or a burger joint? It takes forever for the food to come out of a totally confused kitchen and even though there are numbers on the table, they don't know where to bring it. It's the fault of the "21st century"ordering system they are employing. IT is totally "Fakakta"!! Theoretically, the order goes from your phone to the kitchen, where they process it and prepare your food, then the runner brings it to your table. The reality is disappointingly different. You're better off, sitting at the bar; getting blitzed and watching TV. The fast food gets there sooner! You can do that at home and not have to worry about driving home drunk. Sadly, they spent a small fortune on theme glasses, seat back covers that look like Santa's hat, and specialty merchandise. See photos. I have a feeling, that a lot of the people that were there tonight. Sitting around at the tables, waiting for their food, that took over an hour to arrive won't be back! Especially a lot of the senior citizens or anyone over 30 years old that wondered what was going on? It was suggested; that as a Tapas restaurant they couldn't survive. Wappingers isn't ready for them. However, there are dozens of Mexican taco places within a few miles and burger joints to choose from. Let's hope they fair well.

Inside was nice with plenty of seating for groups and AC to keep you cool on hot summer days. Acoustics were great we were able to enjoy our conversation without having to yell over loud music. Bathrooms were clean with a touch of Puerto Rico as ambient coquí frogs sing in the background. The staff were amazing, friendly attentive and helpful. Our waitress was top notch took care of our coffee and food orders with a smile on a rainy cloudy day. Ordered the Coquito latte, delicious- paired with the sweet and spicy chicken and Coquito batter waffle!! Wow the flavor was great didn't even need syrup. Loved the contrast of sweet and salty. Great portion sizes for the price. My wife got the Coquito French toast with scrambled eggs hash brown potatoes and bacon served on a charcuterie board. Eggs were fluffy and delicious the French toast was soft and buttery.

When I research restaurants on Yelp for out of state trips, certain restaurants stand out and I…read moreknow I have to visit. The Hog was one of those restaurants. The Hog has a very high overall Yelp rating, and a menu full of very cool sounding breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, burgers, jawns (iykyk, but think famous Philly foods) and bowls. It would literally take me weeks of eating lunch or breakfast at The Hog to order everything I want from the menu, but I ordered a "Grasso" Italian style hoagie for myself, and a "Blues for Tom" carved turkey based sandwich for my wife. The Grasso is not your Nonna's Italian. It has some familiar sandwich fillings like high quality hot soppressata and ham, EVOO, vinegar and oregano. Some stylized versions of things you know like shredduce, pickled onions and sun dried peppers. But I bet you've never had mozzarella's oozy cousin burrata on an Italian sandwich. Or whatever Garlic knot sauce is. This sandwich looked amazing. Tasted fantastic. The salty, sweet and acidic flavors really sang. The long hoagie roll was very good too. As much as I loved my sandwich, the turkey sandwich I ordered with my wife's tastes in mind may have been even better. It had carved turkey, Brie, Blueberry Chia Jam, apple, something called "rocket", toasted almonds and an unbilled starring roll for arugula (I believe). I've never seen this combination, but it played like a riff on the classic Thanksgiving style carved turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce. I don't know what this sounds like to people who eat a sandwich with just bologna, but it was amazing. The flavors and textures were so great. The country white bun was fresh and tasty too. The person who put this menu together is a culinary genius. So many cool options and unique takes on favorites. If you're anywhere near Wappingers Falls, you should go. They have seating and coffee as well. 5 enthusiastic Stars
