We were greeted as soon as we arrived, and I loved seeing the variety of products they carried. There were so many cool household items, clothing pieces, and of course, fragrance! We spent most of our time in the fragrance section, and the associate helping us was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. She made the experience even more enjoyable and gave us plenty of time to explore and smell different fragrances. Such a unique and fun place to shop! I'd definitely recommend stopping in if you're in Houston.

I sincerely wished that I had gotten the name of the wonderful man, who was working at Bering's and who immediately began helping me find what I needed to buy. He literally walked me around, asking others who also worked there, where to find these items. Of course we ended up in the right section with a multitude of selections which I truly appreciated. I found what I needed and I was a very happy customer! This person's excellent professional service was extremely appreciated. We ended up with pieces we cherish and the delivery fee was usually waived or low. We did have one hiccup with a smaller item not having all the required parts but one call to Ballard customer service and it was handled by a very genteel, sweet customer service rep. Really great store where we enjoy shopping! Ballard often has sales, so I recommend keeping an eye out and going in at strategic times of year. One of our visits was right before a seasonal change and our designer offered us a floor model at a discount! Also, the catalogs and website are great resources! Some items may be overpriced, but we have found the quality of our purchases to be fair for the prices we have paid so far. I suggest checking out their website first before coming in and letting the designers know your limits. We never felt looked down upon for being clear with the designers about our budget or tastes. Lastly, the staff at this location have consistently been welcoming and kind. I generally prefer to enjoying browsing on my own and approaching staff once I have a decision or a question. However, I appreciate that the staff/ designers always ask if they may help or simply greet me warmly. A small display of sincere effort means a lot to so many folks in the digital age. Keep it up!

While the prices were a little higher, I think they understand who they're marketing to, and the quality seems really great on many of their larger ticket items. Their website also shows a lot of their inventory with dimensions (so incredibly smart) so I may scope for a fancy wedding present. Although I experienced a few unpleasant interactions with certain associates, including a former assistant manager and back room bullies, my more recent visits have been much more positive. It would also feel more inclusive if hiring at this store were more diverse to reflect a more balanced demographic. The store can become extremely busy during sales events. Unfortunately, this is a high crime area. I have witnessed instances of brazen shoplifting, including women loading baskets and running out the door with large quantities of merchandise. I hope the store's security systems and surveillance efforts help deter this behavior and catch these criminals.
